I have Ruptured eardrum 2 months before. I am fine now. It healed automatically but you have to be careful. Don't let water inside your ear. Don't eat or drink anything cold. Don't wear headphones. Don't hear loud noises always put some cotton on your ear. Don't do any workout while having ruptured eardrum Don't take head bath and stay in warm place it help to healing your ear. In case if the water goes inside your ear you must visit ENT hospital he give some anti infection tablet (eat healthy which is good for mid ear infections) your ear healed soon don't lose hope

My eardrum got perforated on 12th March. There was no blood or pus discharge. Nor there was any pain. By 19th April it was fully healed. All i did was be on medication of anti-biotic for upto a week, to prevent any infection. Use cotton and a plastic cover sealed with a rubber band while taking a bath. And leaving it dry all the time. Please don't smoke or drink during this time. Be on proper diet. Time heals everything 😊

I have complications growing over last few years since my right ear drum got perforated may 2021 due to infection spike after covid vaccine and inflammation of Adenoids sucking my eardrum in.. had a full procedure done for nose and after surgery my septum again grew bent and sinuses are clogged too.. now i have constant middle ear infection and fluid build up and tinnitus 24/7.. scared of getting ear surgery, maybe my eustachian tube is dysfunctional.. I don't know if I was born with broken ear drums but I had hole till I remember around 3rd grade, used to have a lot of discharge and kids stayed away from me.. with homeopathy it gradually reduced infections and healed my ear drum over time. I was not even concious in those years.. now lot of stress from every concerned, sleeplessness, inhale high screentime, sedentary lifestyle with no time.. i just wish quitting everything and just relaxing and improving lifestyle was easy to do given I'm turning 30 without a partner, getting deafer slowly, losing balance and growing joint issues due to instability and sacrum tilt developed from childhood lasting over 26 years when I started acting on it, which again is not turning out easy progress with many ups and downs. Instead of enjoying

Thank you for sharing and bravo to all involved. As an opera singer with a perforated ear drum that cannot be repaired apparently, I was in tears watching this and an now very hopeful. It has affected my health and the journey to get back on stage again has been slow but I have lovely support. I look forward to seeing how this technology progresses. If there is an option to be involved in the clinical trials, I would be interested.

I am not sure about this topic, but the sponge scaffold, may cause a stress on to the cells in the way the cells grow and may be good for small perforations, and wont cause any sort of metaplasia of the cells and eventually lead to dysplasia and now you have tumor growing in the ear because of this. For larger perforations, I believe surgery may still be the better option.

Coming here with a presently ruptured eardrum (in my dominant ear), I was hoping to hear something more soothing and healing, than this narration provided. Entirely incorrect for a sensitive topic as this. Bleeding, and extricating, and purging, and healing, while barely sleeping from the ringing tinnitus and scrambling hisses, to the orchestras of Beethoven-esque deafening pain, requires gentility and grace.

I've been having slightly less hearing on my left ear, went to see my ENT and they said I have a tiny hole. He said it should heal itself but if not, he'd have to do a tympanoplasty where they take a skin graft from my ear and use it to patch the hole... but they'd have to cut behind my ear and lift up the eardrum entirely.... sounds like a messy and expensive surgery. If that's the case, I'm gonna find a doctor that can just do a simple office procedure that is minimally invasive.

    • @aleksandrathomas8725

Hi, I raptured my eardrum in a fight in 2006, been living with a perforation since, I was told by two different ENTs that it would heal itself, now my whole right side is from head to toe aches, muscles not working properly, joints painful too, I have an appointment soon with another ENT, do you think how I feel is related to the ear?

How about a large hole? My ent feels that surgery would make hearing worse, as he feels my hearing is too good for surgery even though the hole is big. I have what ent's describe as a mild hearing loss. Even if I decided to have surgery there's no guarantee that it wouldn't be made worse from the scarring.

Mine is perforated for almost 4 yrs. no problem occured that time but this year of August the problem arise liquid coming out my left ear on and off. Been taking antibiotics oral and drops. Doctors told me not to have a flu it will pass in your ear because its perforated but now i have flu and water is coming out in my left ear and the pain is annoying. Feel anxiety and depression. The Doctor told me that if it always happen(liquid coming from ear) it need an operation but i am afraid of operation im nervous about it. My eardrum perforate when i was 51 yrs. old and doctor told me that it will not be healed by itself coz of my age. Now im suffering from this. I dont know what to do. Not enough money for operation and im scared for this procedure. I prayed a lot to our Dear God for a miracle and to give me more strenght coz i have some health issues. Please pray for me.
