I've pulled some terrific browns and also some terrific rainbows out of Echo these past few years. It's my favorite Utah reservoir. 😃🐟
@@bradrtorgersen_videos this was my first time here. My friend in the video and I often fish Pineview when we do head to Utah but we decided to go turn the opposite way on a whim and it definitely paid off! Hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for the comment!
You have an amazingly positive attitude. Keep the positive vibes, you make fishing fun!!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
be careful ! A lot of people are just in denial of the negative ! Not sayin him. Jussss sayin
I am still waiting for the surprise catch!
my go to in the Delta was a white spinnerbait.....miss the Cali lakes ! been hitting Rockport lately and have been doing pretty good on the highway side where's there's grass and perch , up to 3 pounds ...dropshotting and single tail grubs .
White spinnerbait is solid! I get withdrawals from not being near Clearlake and melones. Definitely gonna have to check out rockport soon too.
Me and my buddy slayed up there from ice off to mid may. Lots of large trout, a few decent smallies, and even one walleye.
Can you fish from the bank in Echo? My only choice since I don't have a boat. Would probably limit my catch since you have get lucky and hope the fish are where you happen to be on the bank. I drive past that place all the time and the water line is back up from a couple or three years ago. Nice to see it fill back up some.
You can definitely catch fish from the bank! When we were there, tons of people were parked along the road leading to the launch ramp fishing from there. Plenty of decent access
I saw a really big rainbow come out of that reservoir. I was about 12, so around 1982. I didn't see it on a scale, but it was at least 10 pounds all day.
I wouldn’t doubt it! I have heard other stories of monster fish out of Echo. Glad to see they have been consistent since then. Thank you for your comment!
My brother and I were fishing right on the spill wat BEFORE the dam restructuring years ago and my brother caught a huge German brown that measured 34 inches using a 1oz cast master. We released it. Used to be huge browns before the lake went low for several years.
@@mtyhntr49 it was definitely low for quite a few years. I haven't been there since last summer. It should be full after the last two winters.
Do you live in Utah if so would you want to do a Smallie tourney on rockport late July
I live very close! I will reach out to my friend in the video and see if he is interested! Where can we find more info on it?
Never seen someone fish a jerkbait with a steady retrieve like that
All about variety my friend, tons of ways to fish a jerkbait. Even though I only have the one clip of me throwing it in this video, I probably threw it for 30 minutes that day trying multiple retrieves including twitch and pause, rapid retrieves, and even dead sticking it. Never know what they want haha. Thank you for the comment, hope you enjoyed the video and checked out more of them.
Awesome brown
Thank you so much, Definitely was a blast to catch!
I’ve never seen anyone so excited to catch an 18 inch trout😂 you either must be new to fishing or new to Utah.
Never seen anyone not excited to catch a fish. My experience can remain an assumption but one thing I will say while Utah is a blast to fish occasionally it is no where near the top. Hope you enjoyed the video though and thank you for the comment.
@@DallasBOutdoorAdventures probably the same kind of fisherman who gets exited to catch endless white bass and carp? When I first started out rookie catches used to excite me. Now every 20
Inch trout I catch im bummed out since I’d rather it be a salmon or wiper. Utah is full of stocked trout not a rare or exciting catch to me anymore unless it’s a laker.
wassup MR UA-camr
What’s up brother!
