I had the pleasure of visiting TPS HQ to have my new pedalboard put together with Dan & Mick. The Schmidt Array SA750XDM is a beast! It’s fully functioning, programmable rig for my live setup. I’m so thankful a d happy with this!

Firstly, was so great to see you, I realised most of the time we’ve been together I’ve been drunk! (I might be drunk now ;) Its a genuine honour to build your rig, I’m overwhelmed by your musicality, your vision, your sound, beyond inspiring. I've already watched the TPS episode 3 times, the sounds are some of the best I've ever heard. All of you deserve a pat on the back for this joint creation, at a time when we all need as much positive energy as we can get. Much respect.

When he steps into the Synth-1 sounds, I literally started thinking to myself "Yo, Mick Gordon and Bea should collab on the next Doom soundtrack." And then he said it had exactly that kind of vibe.

I mean, he was good a decade ago, he was bloody awesome 5 years ago, now he's on another level altogether, and he's still only 30. Where is he going to be in another decade? What is 60-year-old Rabea on the verge of collecting his pension going to be like? I have no idea, other than that it will never be uninteresting! I'm just glad to be along for the ride...
His hair and eyes will turn silver and heat waves will shimmer as they emanate from his body when he achieves ultra instinct, don't worry you'll see.

I still remember your early videos were you had this tiny Boss case with 3 Boss pedals on it, a phaser, a delay and I can't remember the other one. Crazy evolution!!

That was all Super Kraken man! Maybe try the Kraken Pre amp pedal they made? Sounds great and much cheaper! Personally I prefer getting all my gain tones from my amp. And pushing them with a good overdrive!
@@justinneafsey5990 after years of pedals ( the most recent was the pricey and long traveling from China _jackhammer_ pedal by Marshall I got through Amazon a coupla years ago, and I was so SURE that was going to be the one, but after going through all the setting permutations, all I use it for now is a light classic rock-y overdrive 😂 ) ....anyway, I've gone back to my old Ibanez SM7 Smashbox, and I like the characteristics...it's just missing that tight middy "modern" crunch...although, I wouldn't really call it modern, because I was playing drums in hardcore bands with dudes who were dialing in that kind of tone 20 years ago.

When I first saw your board in this video I said why you need all these pedals? Than I realised, because of you actually CAN play on the guitar. Amazing tones! Also great screenplay, great editing!
They are as much his instrument as the guitar is. All part of the system. You can't do what he does with amp reverb, an analogue modulation and one overdrive.

One of the coolest pedal boards I've ever seen. What I like a lot about it is that each pedals have a sound of their own and the magic is strong with this one.

i love your tones man, i also love you doing demos in your socks. it makes it feel like we're just hanging out. i know some people feel it's unprofessional, but in this case i think it really works. provided your socks aren't as filthy as your tones i think it's all good, lol!
That bit from 11:10 is immense, please make a whole song like that, especially with the more clean tones.
Bea: Awesome, brutally beautiful board - expect nothing less from you man. But gotta ask - know from the TPS show episode that you mentioned you don't like/use noise gates. Your board during the highest gain settings does appear to generate a lot of background hiss, even with pickup volume silenced. How are you handling that, both recording and live?

What an amazing and inspiring videos !! This video was my motivation to improve and upgrade my pedalboard. After months of experimenting I have made a huge step toward your tones 😄 this was mainly thanks to using the IR of the Victory Kraken 4x12. I used an SM57 and Ribbon 121 using more or less the same philosophy of positioning than you (in the cabM video) and man, how awesome my rig has become. I used to have goose bumps listening to you playing, now I have goose bumps listening to myself playing 😝 !!! I will never thank you enough, I never thought I would be capable of understanding IRs and Miking, power amp valves and combining the right effects and here I am today. I definitely entered a new dimension as a guitar player and as a Metal guitar Fan 🤘🏻

Hey Rabea! I think this rig is an absolute monster! its perfect for your diverse play style and complicated combinations of effects. I think it would be dope if you did some stuff with the Strymon Volante tape echo effect in combination with the Plasma coil. I know it's not on your board, but it would be awesome to hear the Ryan Adams DEFCON 4 from Walrus Audio in conjunction with your board. Much love bro. Stay indoors and make some sick jams!

Just to say, the EB-10 from walrus is exactly the same design as the defcon 4 but it’s programmable as well. My guess would be walrus changed things up after all that stuff with him went on.
