First of all I want to say that i absolutely love AWA I've watched their audition repeatedly and I love them because they're so talented but they also remind me of my cousin who's autistic and awesome just like them💓
My little brother has autism he lost his ability to talk so I learned sign language and I saw this video and watched it. I showed it to my brother and signed “see you can do something” and he cried and hugged me and I thank Jonathan for helping these kids they deserve to be on that stage
My son will be 5 in a few months. He’s nonverbal “low functioning” on the autism spectrum. This dance and group is so beautiful. But being a mother of a child on this spectrum, I’m crying hoping one day my baby can find what he most loves and is passionate about . This video is so special to my heart ❤️
Erin Hayes hello my son is 11 now I found out Gerren had such austim when he was 3 I pray everyday that he one day becomes the artist that he wants to be and movie dictator my prayers are your you as will I want to share this with you my cousin told me God would have never gave Gerren to me if he didn’t think I would be strong enough to take care of him! God Bless you Sis
In my city there is an All Bodies Dance Troop, full of disabled, cognitive challenged, able bodied, all together, performing modern dance, some with chairs, walkers, and carers.
I work with a little boy. 3 and a bit. Medium functioning at best. I adore him but know this there is NOTHING wrong with your little boy. He is and will be amazing. They just see the world differently. I've worked with a 12 year old non verbal low functioning. A beautiful, smart and kind girl with all the love in the world she just needs people to see HER world.
Thanks to everyone taking their time to read this testimony on how my son was saved from Autism. He was diagnosed four years ago, and he's just 6, I have tried several treatments and medications, nothing was working out, this got me frustrated and depressed. I kept praying and finally God answered my prayers when someone from youtube introduced me to this doctor from his home country and gave me his contact details. I called and explained my son's condition after which I made an order for his herbal remedy, he asked for my address and the next day I got a tracking number for a parcel sent to me through DHL and after four days I received my order. It was a liquid herbal medicine and a letter containing the instructions on how to use the herbs, I called him again to confirm and the next morning I started giving my son the herbs as instructed and after one week I noticed great improvement on my son and I continued until the herbs got finished and everything lasted for just one month and now my son is totally free from Autism, he can now talk clearly, behave normally and has no more seizures. jay Well, it is all filmed at Birmingham as the BBC has a tv studio there. On the X Factor they have people at a table to check those contestants in, so on TGD they have this "receptionist" to chat to them and ask a few questions.
Yeah, not to mention it is a good way of finding out a bit about what the act is like and a way for the people to have a bit of a chat to calm their nerves, kinda like when Ant and Dec talk to people before their performances.
simple likely hood is that the BBC needs to pump up their female hiring numbers based on the very lower ratios of females in their company and given that BBC is funded based on it quoter system in number areas then that is why it simple is it needed no is it costing us tax payers more yes for such a pointless job
i'm on the spectrum too, and although i wish we lived in a society where abled people weren't always shocked that we can actually do stuff, i'm really excited to see this performance! these students worked so hard, and did an amazing job! it's important for people with disabilities to see people like us being amazing, talented, and capable!!! it's also important for abled people to see it, so they can understand just how much we can do! inclusion MATTERS for EVERYONE! i don't personally think this is inspiration porn--i think this is inclusivity and visibility for the autistic community. people need to see people with disabilities living normal and extraordinary lives. it creates change, and it subverts stereotypes. great job to AWA and to their dance teacher!! i wish them the best of luck going forward!!
My son has Asperger's Autism, he's 29. He lives with me for the time being as living single anywhere is hard. He's a great help. He keeps looking for a woman that will accept him for him. I pray daily for that too. This group is amazing, I don't know their range on the spectrum but for all of them, just to concentrate and move to music like this is awe aspiring. I'll have to show me son this. He works out and is working with someone training him in MMA(martial Arts). He is amazing in this. I hope they continue to dance together.
As someone who has worked in the special education program, primarily with autistic children, I can’t tell you enough how beautiful and wonderful this video is! I don’t think people realize just how difficult this can be for some. Thank you to all of you beautiful souls that are a part of this group and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful talents. We love you! ♥️♥️♥️
I don't HAVE autism. I am autistic (although I prefer to say I'm an autist). And this particular story demonstrates the power of reinforcement and generalization (two applied behavior analysis techniques) in teaching skills that apply to other areas of life. Autism is a neurotype. If you have met one autistic individual then you have met one autistic individual. We are like any other person in that and many other ways. We are each unique. We are not a stereotype.
Brian Middleton Thank you so much for explaining ! Its so important to know and have this knowledge about it , Im not autistic so it's hard to understand how u guys see things and ur explanation clarify lots of my questions. Thank you for that
Yes but applied behavioural analysis therapy, or ABA is literally abusive. It’s forcing autistic children to appear “normal” more often than not and forcing them to repress everything about autism which makes them different. It’s basically gay conversion therapy for autism. That’s the only reason why I’m happy I wasn’t diagnosed as a child. These kids obviously just like dancing.
I'm mom with a son who has high functioning autism and I wish we had a groups that my son could find himself and embrace his autism with others like him! It is so awesome to see. LOVE IT!!!
I work with a nonverbal autistic kid and I really Salut this teacher! He is amazing. Kids with autism are great amazing talented kids!! And they where so good! Loved it

Thank you Jonathan and kids for having the courage to showcase your talent. We know the struggles you have lived through to get here x
This is a story about the heart. This group dances with joy and passion and captures the hearts of the audience. It should not be dismissed as a sob story or inspiration porn. It just shows that the world has opened up to a more diverse range of performers and that no matter your ability or disability it is your heart that ultimately wins. I would rather watch a group with heart and great moves than a cold technically perfect act any day of the week. Signed, a mother of a child with severe autism
I was like...TOTALLY blown away. Those moves 😍 Hats off to that teacher and the only lady in the group! An awesome group of friends having fun. That's what life is about 😍
My goodness. I CRIED. I find it very hard to cry. This video is a reminder of where my home is. Its dance. I am masking right now from the world, but this is what was one of the most significant denominators of my life and happiness.. a legacy from my mom.
To me, learning what challenges people have overcome to perform gives some depth to the performance. This group did an amazing job and will no doubt inspire others. Their teacher must be pumped. Deserves credit.
I take care of people with autism and this made me cry so much. I am so proud of those kids. I usually don't care for the sob stories, but this one touched my heart.
My brother had autism. God did he light up a room with his attitude and smile. I'm so happy to see that they are putting their disability to side and proving that they can dance like anyone else. I love it. Absolutely amazing performance.

This is awesome video. This shows how much dedication that this teacher has for his students. Thanks for being one of many teachers that has faith in their students and their abilities to shine through dance.

This is so inspiring! As a mother of a 5yr old non verbal autistic boy am desperate to help him especially with his speech. If there’s anyone out there who helped these kids with speech, or their parents, could you please get in touch with me. God bless y’all.
For those who disliked this I hope you are out there praying and changing.
