Ohayo Kevin!! I was just thinking of how I could use up the leftover salmon from last nights’ dinner. I know you mentioned “white fish.” I’m sure I could use salmon and still get an outstanding fish cake, couldn’t I? Thank you for sharing so many yummy recipes with us!! ❤️
You make cooking so easy and fun! I barely know how to boil water lol but your recipes are easy to follow and my wife has been wondering where I get these ideas for dinner or dessert haha
Looks good👍🏻 my wife uses bread crumbs as apposed to flavor and mayo instead of eggs. She usually cools the fish off before incorporating the everything.🥂
Tabasco, lol, I’d probably put half the bottle, so I’d use this hot sauce I found with the three(3) hottest peppers.😁😁 Imitation crab meat is apparently pollock, so I could probably skip a step, right?
Yes. And can use the same recipe to make crab cakes. I once was on a factory ship that made fake crabmeat (we were delivering a load of hake (like pollock - a cheap fish) and it was quite interesting. As for Tabasco, I like the Habanero Tabasco.
I did panic...added a little more flour to the recipe. It worked but the extra flour took away from the fish taste. I should have put the mix in the fridge to allow the mixture time to thicken. Mom liked the cakes and she's hard to please so I think it was fine. I will try it again. Thanks!
man they look SO good!!
Hey Kevin, those looked really easy to cook up. A simple, super tasty dinner time dish!
And if you have canned fish (like salmon or such) even quicker as you can skip the boiling step.
Gotta love these...perfect with the garlic mayo!
Thank you. The garlic mayo does really add to them.

Salmon is also good in these. Basically, any fish, crab, etc. Hmm, never tried with shrimp.

Keep surprising her.
Trying these with basa, that fish 🐟 is probably really good this way!
I've made these with a few different fish, and all have been good.
Love Codfish........ Thanks Kev....
Used to be lucky enough to sometimes catch cod when I lived on Vancouver Island.

I've never tried mayo in the cakes. Shall give that a try once.
Just another binder like eggs.
@@Jimfromearthoo7 Makes sense since mayo is made from eggs. I shall give it a test run.
Correction my wife’s uses bread crumbs as opposed to Flour.
@@Jimfromearthoo7 LOL, I figured out the typo after a few seconds of head scratching.
Love it! off to Steveston for some fish
Ah, Steveston docks. Brings back memories.
Great looking snack Lord Kevin....😁
Thank you, Sir Newton.
Delicious
Now, I'm about to have breakfast, and coming back to this recipe here makes me want them. Dangit, no fish on hand.

Yum yum yum too~☆ welmade
Thank you, Christian.
I know you live in Japan is that mayo Japanese mayo... It's quite different from what I get in America.
Yes, Kurt. It'&s Kewpie Mayonnaise. I don't think it's much different from the mayo I used in Canada (I think it was Hellman's?)
Sooo, i was super lazy and used the food processor, leading to a rather soupy "dough". I hope it's still going to work!
So, how did it work out in the end? Still OK?
I did panic...added a little more flour to the recipe. It worked but the extra flour took away from the fish taste. I should have put the mix in the fridge to allow the mixture time to thicken.
