I found this glitch years ago on Xbox. I was playing with my siblings on terraria on the Xbox 360 when I threw my water bolt to my brother and signed out. It didn't save before I logged out so I kept the item and they still had it. It works similarly on Xbox one, and you can do it via split screen or online. Quite a cool glitch

It’s also possible to duplicate with somebody who has an extremely high amount of ping/ lag. If you’re playing multiplayer with somebody who has >300 ping, then it’s as simple as tossing anything towards that player and they will receive DOUBLE what you threw. 1 becomes 2, 4 becomes 8, and 9999 platinum coins can be farmed in less than 5 minutes
