    great tip,im sure it will help a lot of people.i usually have to get a couple extra hardware sets because I shake badly when trying to use tiny bolts and afterward I go around the room with a magnet and pick up all the nuts and bolts that are slung across the room lol.

    Great idea, made one myself now from an old JQ engine mount and a long M3 bolt with washer. It works fantastically.

    I just have a couple long 2 or 2.5mm screws that are the same size as the stock wheel hardware. Pull it together with 2 of those, then install the 3 normal screws in the other holes, back the other 2 long ones out and replace them with the normal screws. Works pretty good!

    I glued the hex peice on the rear. Makes it heaps easier to screw together. If your tire is wonky or made out of shape, you will have no hope to fit the tire. My experience :)

    I used a couple zip ties going around the large holes. Using something to clamp it down like you did is probably better and I will make something this evening, but I did get one done so far using 2 zip ties to get it started.

    Thanks for the video. I made mine out of the forward chassis beam, a large screw, and a wheel nut

    i took a meat head approach with the 4way jack that comes with the TF2 kit and tightened it from the front of the wheel with the 4way, ultimately scratching up around the bolts pretty good. i guess that gives it a more scale look lol. i should have used the 4way to back up the bolt and screwed them in from behind the wheel after all 4 wheels were done and i thought about it. i just got a set of 1.9 rock crushers and the rc4wd stamped beadlocks with the circular hole pattern and will give your trick a try if the 2 long bolts strip out on me.

    you could use a strong magnet on the bar to magnatize the wheel in which will help hold the screw

    I can’t get my proline tires on these rims. The rubber Rim that is supposed to get pinched by the bead lock always gets pushed out and lets all the air out

      Having the same issue. 2 of the same bag went together easy but 2 from another bag keep popping out the back. Tried at least 5 different methods with loads of cursing and one tire going across the room.

      -J .R this frustrated me forever. I had eBay method knock offs and these Rc4wd. Could only get rc4wd tires to properly seal on the wagon wheels. eBay wheels were a little bit better but would still slip out and let water in. I was running proline km3. Tried them in multiple sizes. No luck.

      @@cmoney360CS sounds to me like I will be tossing some different tires on these rims and going another route for rims with my proline hyrax. Shortly after posting this I ended up ripping the bead on the lip during install. Ordering up 2 more tires now which are back ordered so might as well shop around for rims too. Not buying these again lol

    I just use 2 longer screws and tighten them up enough to get the 6 shorter ones in

    Great video man did a good job really good job. Great idea. Repurpose. Love it. Was thinking of getting these rims for my 2.2 tires. They're really big there for my Yeti 138 mm is high. Would these rims be all right if I added a dab of glue. Really want to have that 90s 1989 fat Tire jacked up look. I love these stamped looking rims. Just get the white and big fat tires like everybody put on their Broncos back in the day. But they going on my Yeti. Do you think they would hold up to it.. thank you for sharing great video. Would really appreciate a response

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  4 роки тому +1

      It could work but Im not sure how well it would hold. These crawler tires are soft and the beadlock wheels really crush the bead to hold them. Tires you would be using on a yeti are probably a harder compound rubber and these wheels may not give enough space to hold a more firm bead. I am just guessing, have never tried it myself.

    Spray some wd40 on your tires and rims it helps a lot to get them nice and straight

    ughh I had problems with these wheels. Not a fan of the 3 piece setup. Also they do not fit on my trx4. Going to return them and get the proline ones. Much more money but they use a nice ring setup for the beadlock.

      RC Propaganda I got these for my trx4 as well but I did like the stamped wheel look for the build on doing I just used my drill press to bore the hub out to 5mm they work great

    I don't get why you need the bumper? Why not just use the bolt and nut with out the bumper? You can use a washer if the wheel hex is a problem.

      It works with aluminum wheels too. I did mine with that method.
      Today. It press equally across the rim. Made it seat nicely.

    Great trick! You lost those two longer ones? My Land Cruiser came with two longer ones, so you first squeeze it with those two and than lock it with those shorter ones... Anyway, thumbs up

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  8 років тому +1

      +BJ40films My cruiser kit may have had the longer ones. I bought this extra set of wheels and they didnt. My beadlocks are like whales, once they are together, they stay that way for life. LOL.I hate taking them apart.

    • @BJ40films
      @BJ40films 8 років тому +1

      +Josh Dutton (RC Everyday) Taking them apart isn't that funny, sure. But it's more funny than losing two beadlock screw nuts like I did... Oops.

    hi, why are the hub adapters on ebay called 6mm to 12mm to use these wheel but the wpl hex is 5mm ?

    • @RCeveryday
