Love Thomas Hardy, though most of it is heartbreakingly sad. So inspirational to see his house, and especially this beautiful, beautiful garden, with you looking as if you absolutely belong, long dress and long hair! When signing the book, I see you are a left-hander, like my fiance and I! Great minds...
Glad you enjoyed it thank you. I know it's sad some of the stories can be like that but I guess life was harder back then in some ways and easier in others! Haha yes I am left handed :). X
@@HerCountryLiving , I'm not so sure harder, or even easier. Actually, I believe that there's a deep "rightness" that runs through the universe. We all get about the same number of good and bad "happenings"/"gifts"/"tests", no matter what or who or when we are. They just look different superficially. The kinds of pains and rewards someone in a great house might experience to those in this cottage, to those in a hovel, and at different times in history, look different; but the lessons and choices we face are ultimately the same. Greater potential personally can lead to greater good or greater bad, depending on our choices; and lesser potential to slightly lesser good or lesser bad, but the choices are essentially the same. And we don't get given more, or less, than our potential to use/bear. The sadness consists in the poor choices, and the games we play with other beings and people.
Thank you for this beauty and simplicity of this video. It felt as though you were stepping back in time when life was much simpler. The music was lovely and so fitting.
Thomas Hardy is my favourite author. I haven't been to the cottage he was born in since the early nineties so I think I'm due another visit. Beautifully filmed, thank you
You fit right in here. 😊 This is such a beautiful home, it almost doesn’t seem real! The garden in front is definitely my kind of garden, bursting forth with all sorts of beautiful and interesting plants and flowers. I’ve never read anything by Thomas Hardy, I’ve always been too intimidated. Have you?
Thanks so much! 😊 I have! But at school, they’re honestly not my thing haha! But I DO appreciate his amazing work and achievements. I personally prefer fairies and cosy crime haha. Xx
la grand maison dans la prairie ,😁 grand et belle belle 👍🌹💐 merci tunisie

You are so welcome! It does seem simpler back then but I suppose we were less connected! X
