We've Got Rhythm - Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band - Spring 2024 Concert

Explore the many and diverse uses of rhythm found in music throughout the ages by many cultures and musical formats. From French ballet to the magical and exciting dance interludes of the Broadway stage and Russian Grand Opera, the folk music of Armenia, the ecstasy of the mystical music of Mahler, and the driving rhythmic forces of Mexico, Havana, and Puerto Rico we will show how the use of rhythm drives and contributes to our enjoyment and understanding of music and culture, along with melody, harmony, and instrumentation.
