Heyyyyyy lovelies, in this video I am using Jesmonite AC100 and pigments from Homeware Design Co to create adorable Valentines coasters. I am then using beautiful silk screens with a heart pattern to create beautiful coasters.

I did a silk screen class and the way that they did it (so the print is even) is to squeeze acrylic paint onto the squeegee itself and to pull it down evenly over the item and make sure to not go over areas twice.
They both look gorgeous but of course the one with the paw prints is my fave. ❤🐶

Yes, thanks to watching ur 1st video using them, I went str8 into Amazon & bought a dozen silkscreens! Haven’t used them yet but I had planed on using on resin & saw one of the fellow comments saying don’t use on resin, use in the resin mold or it will stick to the resin!❤😊

I absolutely (😂) love these.
I have a sealer from another brand (A1 Sealer Plus, A1 is the brand of eco pour I've been using, it's two-component like jesmonite)), and I haven't noticed it smearing acrylics. You should try different brands of acrylics - Pebeo is more of a craft acrylics line, and I suspect they might be less durable than artists' acrylics. Also, if the paints are less glossy, they might come off easier.

How do you clean the self adhesive silk screens?
Heyyyy Carolyn .. I should have mentioned this. I wash them immediately in warm water .. and lay them on a towel to dry. They are reusable

heyyyyy lovely - I use the same moulds but if I was just starting out I would keep them separate :) Eco pours do dull silicone so they will be less shiny for resin x over time

Erm, I'm a BIT late...
Don't put your silk screens on resin!! They don't come off.
Reverse instead - put the silk screen in the mold, use acrylic paint, I used the acrylic pens, once dry then pour your resin ❤ x
❤Thanks for the tip considering I just spent waaay too much on a dozen new silk screens to try in resin😮 Question, after the pen/paint dried, do u remove the silk screen n then pour the resin over the dried paint, I assumed is what u meant? Thanks again for the tip!!❤

Yeah, sadly the acrylic paint will smear because it's water based and I guess the sealants are too. That combo would smear on whatever, jesmo, resin etc Smudge city - boooooo
This was really dope to see! Can you clean 🧼 and reuse the self-adhesive silk screens? Or are they a one time use thing?
