Thank you for sharing this nice video. I am from San Francisco, now living in Japan. My parents and grandparents are from Taishan and I plan to go visit Taishan by myself end of next month for the first time in my life. I do not know anyone there. Please recommend me some places if you know! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your story with me, and that is a courage decision to visit Taishan by yourself! Taishan is really big, and I am not sure if you are able to read Chinese since not many sign or people you can find can speak English.

You can copy and paste to the map to check out these places. For Dim Sum: 七星海海鲜酒楼 and 台山新世界酒店. For drinks: 布维记, especially their dried tangerine peel (chen pi) series. For breakfast, it could be any rice noodle store nearby. Restaurant: 乐韵餐馆 (mainly for seafoods) and 台山第一家兴华黄鳝饭 (mainly for eel rice). For shopping: 昌大昌广场. For a walk in the nature: 石花山公园. There are a lot more places to check out in Taishan and foods, but the great foods are mostly street foods or a place that is not so fancy. So I am not sure if you will get use to it, especially the cleaness will look completely different from Japan. But the list from above, the cleaness, look, and taste are on point. Hope you find it helpful!
