Remembering Cameron

Remembering Cameron : In the days that followed Cameron’s death, the pupils of Abraham Guest were keen to arrange a fitting school event to celebrate his life. A number of different fundraising ideas were suggested, based on activities that Cameron enjoyed. It was decided that a series of events would be held this week. These have included a cake sale, trampolining ‘pay to bounce’, a cross bar challenge and a ‘wear something blue day’. In addition to this pupils and close friends sang some of Cameron’s favourite songs to a crowded arts theatre in his memory, with donations being made at the door.
Today the whole school gathered together for the final lesson of the half term, messages to Cameron were released on helium balloons by each member of his year group. This was followed by a minute of applause. The event was attended by Cameron’s family.
Abraham Guest Academy are incredibly proud of our pupils exceptional conduct and understanding through what has been a very emotionally difficult time. Cameron was an extremely popular young man and this has been highlighted by the outpouring of tributes and donations received.
