Super tasty licks that I would never think of making up on my own.
Very cool. Thanks
Just came across your channel searching for GG. Awesome work! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant more Grant Green please.
thank you mraggrovator!
The names and traditions you're teaching are so valuable and important. Sometimes all it takes is that one lick to open the whole thing up.
Thank you Miek, you're right, most people just need a nudge in the right direction and things will become alot clearer
Welcome back. And yes! Grant forever. The. Best.
Thank you Mathew!
Great funky licks for sure! Love the funky Grant Green. Thanks for sharing.
Right on thanks for watching
Love this stuff, thanks for it! Lick one I can hear in Grant's live version of Let The Music Take Your Mind, love it!
Good to see you back. Great stuff. I love that second lick!

OHH YESSS. Been waiting for this!!!
Bam, here it is!
AMAZING. YOU ARE THE KING!
The one thing for a request for the future is the Meters. I saw them in New Orleans as a young person and it changed everything I thought about music. Those grooves stayed in my head for weeks afterwards. My exploration into the funk started there. Leo Nocentelli is a funk riff master. Thanks.
on the agenda, thanks!
I know the notes I know the chords and people like you and Mr Green play em and it's magic. Great stuff. Still flipping on the Eddie Hazel stuff. Thanks you have brought an element of SOUL to my playing.
glad to hear it!
YOUR BEST VID - Love these and thanks for your time!
thanks Sean!
Love these Grant Green lick lessons...I've made a playlist of them I practice too.
Are you familiar with Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds? If so, any chance of a lick lesson of his? Otherwise maybe Boogaloo Joe Jones?
Thanks for the suggestions, will take a listen
Nice licks! Maybe some Cory Wong -stuff next?
not sure who that is but I'll look into it
@@TastyGuitarcom From the band Vulfpeck (and his solo stuff) - you will dig it.
He does have a somewhat unique crazy right hand style. ua-cam.com/video/QGLY-bWAG-c/v-deo.html

Could you explain the funky altered or whole tone scale I hear in Brown Bread (Jimmy McGriff/Groove Holmes)? check minute 5 mark

Your right hand drives me crazy!
You're too young to be that good!
