  • Here is a video of Efke 25 film, which is one of my favorite B&W films. I shoot it for portraits as often as I get, when I can take pics of people. Its great for landscapes too. This film was a single emulsion film that was designed in around the 1950s, and stayed the same well into 2012 when it was discontinued. Its an ortho-panchromatic film which gives skin tones a darker look in some shots. Closest replacement to this film today is Adox CHS 100II. Efke 25 was also named under the Adox brand name back in the day as well. This film has such a lovely old fashioned look with traditional grain.
Music used in the video are: "Spring Migration" by the Great North Sound Society, "Way Out West/ Parkside" by Chris Haugen.

Thank you for your continued support Terry! My Efke 25 stash is down a little since this video was made, but I still have a good amount left. One day I'll have to try Adox CHS 100 II to see how it compared.

Adox CHS 25 and 50 Art films were Efke 25 and 50, as such are orthopanchromatic. So you are correct. Have some of the Efke 50 myself, but have yet to use it.
