    I have plants growing in water and have never changed it. Just top it off. I've never understood why people say to do that. Your tips are spot on.

      Haha yea I’ve always sucked at pronunciation and my southern accent doesn’t always help that either. I can spell out all the difficult words but speaking them is like not for me. 😂

    Awesome info! I’m trying to get into keiki paste and am curious how you apply it ? Do you make a small cut or do you just rub it into the buds?

    • @atlplantroom
      @atlplantroom  9 місяців тому

      You rub it on the bud but it will stop the plant from rooting so make sure the plant is fully rooted

    So could I put the paste on a well established monstera auxiliary bud for new leaf?

    Um where I live there are 2 keiki pastes rooting and growth and they are 50 percent of NAA and 6 Benzylyminopurine and I don't have access to those chemicals just the pastes so could I try them in the tissue culture process so try bc I can't use those chemicals in their pure form

      See if you can order from phytotech or cassia labs. The issue I think you may face would be this:
      1. They aren’t sterile so you may lose whatever you add to tc with contamination.
      2. What else is mixed in? Will that effect the way the other chemicals mix together and how the plant will grow?
      3. How is it mixed into the paste? Most media has to boil for 3-3.5 mins. If it goes too long or short, it basically doesn’t work as well if at all. If they cooked it, you wouldn’t be able to but you would need to in order to melt your agar.
      I could go on but these are some of the things you would want to consider. It definitely doesn’t hurt to try it and see what happens!

      @@atlplantroom thanks so much I did check its just distilled water mixed with a high concentration of naa and ba to form a paste I have made a tc mix with it but I didn't put a plant and followed that same protocols and no contamination was found so next time I will try with a plant

    Hi, I am just getting started. I have a guerilla grow tent and I am interested in the brand of shelves you have in the Video. I'm in Roswell

      Hi!! Congratulations on starting your plant journey!!! You should come to the Southeast Plant Show this weekend. It’s at the Gwinnett Fair Grounds Sat and Sunday. It’s going to be huge with lots of amazing plants and people. If you’re coming, please stop in and say hi!
      As far as the shelves, I think you’re referring to the ones at the beginning of the video when I say “hi welcome to the jungle”. Those unfortunately won’t work in a tent as they must be screwed to the wall. They are 20in wide closet shelves that I cut to size. How big is your tent? You could get wire shelves from Walmart and attach them together. Two shelves can make 3 plant shelves if you attach them. It’s a pain to put together at first but works really nicely. That’s how I set up my old lab shelves when I couldn’t screw in the wall. Let me see if I can find the photo on TT and repost it here.
