I did this about 6 months ago on my Albo in two spots. One spot shot out a root and one spot did nothing and just got kinda sticky. More science-ing needed. Loved this video, love your channel 💜
Hi Emma, I really appreciate the info. I had never heard of this stuff before and I'm now thinking of trying it. I must say that I would prefer a video completed over time with all the updates in one rather than having to check back in and possibly miss the updates. I know that is a long term project so maybe in the end you could combine it all in a highlight 💚
Hey! Yeah I feel you! I'd normally wait but this is such a slow process I wanted to share it now and later 😅All updates are being compiled on my IG story highlights at the moment. And in a few months I'll make another video
Did you score the plant in the areas that you put the paste? I don't notice you doing that but the instructions say to. I already watched your update video with mixed success, but I'm very curious to know if you followed the instructions to a T or if it's worth revisiting the paste after scoring the plant along the nodes.
so the instructions of the paste is for orchids which do need to be scored. I'm still not sure if other plants do or not because I didn't score them and, like you saw, had mixed success
@@GoodGrowing the instructions I got came with a variety of plants and showed exactly which plants to score and where. It was very helpful. I think only one type did not need to be scored so I imagine it's pretty helpful for the majority.
Did you scratch the sleeping node of your monstera before applying it? I've been reading mixed opinions about it. Some scratched it with a sterile needle, others just applied it.
Great video! You’ve inspired me to get out some Keiki paste I purchased about a year ago and experiment with it again. (I previously had very mixed results and found that putting it on too many growth points on the plant seems to overload it and confuse the plant so it won’t actually produce growth from any of them... at least that’s my theory!) Hope to see a check in video from you in future 😊
Thanks! Yeah I've heard you shouldn't put it on too many points, but I heard that after I put it on everything... hehe whoops! Hopefully you have more success this time around :) will defo be checking in in a few months with results (or lack-there-of...)
Hiiiiiiiii thank you for sharing this video. Ily. Edit: BTW I would love to see a video where you explain how to trade plants and make planty friends in a smaaaaaaall city. It is difficult for me to trade because I live in a smal city, And most of the planty people here are 50+yrs so the interaction is a little “weird”
You're so aggressive when you touch the plants. Don't even touch them with your hands, just Q-tip em. You need to be more gentle lol. Pretend your gluing glass frames back together.
@@GoodGrowing LOL I’m trying to think of a profession that uses delicate touch. Maybe an artists or beautician haha. You need some utensils... maybe a tweezer made out of Q-tips or soft cotton balls.

Nice! That first spot must have been an aerial root point rather than a growth point. Hope that doesn't deter you from trying again!

Which plants need to be “scored” before applying paste?
Here for it! 💚
Can’t wait for the updates and I would love to see how this is done on orchids as well
Unfortunately I haven't got any orchids to try it on... but I'm sure there's loads of videos out there as it's originally intended for them
@@GoodGrowing thank you for your response
Awesome video, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience!
Would you mind sharing what type of verrucosum you have?
tbh I'm not sure which type it is as it was bought purely as verrucosum... i know, super not helpful 🙃
Thank you for sharing this. Super excited to try on my monstera albo
Ooh yes good luck!
Not me buying this stuff the second I saw your editing part 😂
haha right! I'm so excited about it! Hopefully it works well for you too :)
Love love love 💚

No I just applied it

Check fb for local pages. You would be surprised how many different people collect plants!
It turned my nodes brown, is that normal?
Did this help?
I think I love her
I tried this and it worked, but then I forgot to water the plant so it killed off the new growth. I trust this stuff though.
Oh no!!
can't wait to see your updates
Thanks! I'll be sure to update everyone in a few months :)
Cant wait for the updates!
feeled the pain instantly when that ppp sniped 😢
Takes too long to get to the point basically want to know the product you’re using and if it does in fact work!
I love orchids! do you have any?
I had an F- in Science lol I'll just watch vicariously through yours
you defo don't need to be good at science for this!
Just so you know that’s not a Monstera Thai Constellation it’s a Monstera Borsigiana
You're so aggressive when you touch the plants. Don't even touch them with your hands, just Q-tip em. You need to be more gentle lol. Pretend your gluing glass frames back together.
How am I meant to do anything if I can't touch them with my hands?

I came here to find out where to put it. Literally did not help at all
