I got a hell of a downswing at 888 and decided to move on from there, since 888's rakeback is pretty bad (to not say it's non-existing, and the rake is pretty high, which is also really bad). Maybe I will come back in the future but for now I'm grinding at PokerStars, things are getting better since it.
I think having overbet shoves makes sense in the AQ hand since AA and A2s want to shove to get max value from a king, but the problem is that opponent is just too likely to have a king himself to shove with air, you're getting called too much so the shove loses EV.
This feels like a spot for GTO shenanigans like shoving a lot of Kx to force opponent to call a king to chop, and shoving AA/A2s for value. And not having any "true" bluffs on the overbet sizing.
Yeah very fair assessment, I just figured I definitely wanted to have shoves and convinced myself this one made sense. And after the long turn tank I thought TT/JJ idk. RIP.

For the AQ hand on the river I think you should think about the suit of your ace on trip boards. So the only hand with a 2 the utg will have will be A2s. Because you are deep stacked I would consider calling 3 bets with A2s utg as well. With 100 bb I think it is a fold though. Anyway the best bluff hands would contain the A of clubs I think. Queen of clubs is good to block KQs so I think a queen of hearts would be bad. I also put AKs in my 4 bet range always and AKo is only 4 betting 50% of the time for me. So I think A of hearts is the next best Ace to have after clubs. A of spades blocks only A spade K clubs and A spade K diamond. Ace of hearts blocks 3 offsuit AK hands AhKs AhKd Ah Kc.
Most of the time I just have time in game to think about which A is good to jam on trip boards based on the suit that is missing from the trip board. I don't even know if you are 3 betting A2s.
Fair assessment mate, I definitely think I needed to be more careful with how often I am doing this, sometimes I just get caught up in bluffing tight range spots and asking too much of opponents. Never mind!

I think the main issue is relying on someone to fold appropriately here vs this bet size. I'm saying I have AA but unfortunately at 25NL people just aren't going to think about folding a K here. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi Nick ! I don’t really agree with the big bluff in the end ! I think if you go that size you have to target some kings by saying you got aces and he doesn’t. You have the better blockers but in the end he still has like 9 combos of AK that’s really huge ! Maybe going for like 2/3 is more efficient, targeting underpairs and missed FD.
Still I don’t get how he can snap call here, like he pays for splitting there and not every body would go for a bluff here.
Very fair lad! Can't really disagree. I was wondering if he may have to start folding some Kx, but obv not AK since it blocks AA. 2/3 is my preference to fold out TT/JJ rather than ask some Kx to start folding.

The AQ hand overbet bluff is one of the worst bluff attempts I have ever seen. I'd call you by any pair I hold. What hands you are valuing on the river by betting huge overbet? You should have AA and know villain has AK. That's like the only scenario where you can play the hand like that. Dumpest shove ever dude... really...
