We're looking to retire in Blairsville. Love it there.
I have to admit, we weren't happy seeing an apartment building. They started with 1 here in SW FL. Now they're popping up everywhere. Not good.
We love it in Blairsville as well. There is actually a huge lack of rentals available here. There's only one new apartment building in town, and there is very little apartments in the surrounding towns. Of course I can't tell the future, but I don't foresee this little mountain town having an abundance of apartment communities anytime in the near future. :)

The K road is what it is called. We have TOO many Fast food places and expensive restaurants. The traffic has become UNREAL. and don't get me started on the people who don't know how to drive using a 'round a bout' or rotary , Or how to use 4 way stops. People also drive SLOW and go below the speed limits and there are limited places to pass. There is major roadwork coming between Union and Towns counties which will start this year and take a few years to complete. The people here are nice , most are honest and church goers. No we don't like all the growth however will not be mean to anyone who moves in. The main thing we ask is don't try to change us, although it has already changed SO much over the decades that it is not recognizable anymore. Just don't bring your big city attitudes and we all get along just fine. Just remember , with growth comes Higher prices on everything including taxes. FYI......
hwy 129 is beautiful this year. it's my drive to work. I love it here! and we call it K road. Love your videos.

We are looking to explore Blairsville when we get back up to GA in October as well as some of the other towns you talk about in your videos in looking to relocate. Q: Are there any fitness centers/gyms in Blairsville? And also, are there homes within gated communities?
