I’ve just discovered Italian card games and this channel makes them so much easier understand than just reading the rules in a book. I enjoy your presentation style, too.
Thanks for the great video. I started to learn to play Scopa while living in Italy for the past 5 years. Now back in America and no one know how to play. So this version is great.
Love this video 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ i know another 3 types of solitaire, which are called gap solitaire, kings in the corner solitaire and Napoleon's tomb. I notice that the Italian deck can be used to play these games too
What! I didn't realize you had a channel! Subbed. I miss Clara. I was showing my wife and kids the video of Clara cooking peppers and eggs. 😭 I'm subbing to you for life. Don't ever leave us.
Enjoyed this video. My Italian Gram used to play these. Have watched a lot of Clara’s videos. Precious woman. I think you resemble her husband from a picture she showed of him in one of her videos. Salute!
Thanks so much for watching this and Nana’s videos. She loved teaching me these games and I loved playing them with her. So I hope I can continue to share more of her through these. All the best!
Thanks! Nana preferred the Pyramid solitaire. She had a love/hate relationship with this one, it can get frustrating if you lose too many times in a row! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video Chris! Unfortunately you missed on the opportunity to mention what we do when you get stuck…wtf Chris… with ur perfect deck…Cheating Chris
Great questions, sounds like you got the most typical result in stacking solitaire, a loss. I barely won this game I shot. If you’re stuck it’s likely because you’re toast. Collect all the cards start over. I was taught this game one summer by my Italian aunt who was playing it for weeks without a win. I won on my first try and it upset her so much she swore off of cards for the rest of the summer. It was a truly memorable victory 😂
Thanks for another great video! I love different solitaire variations. I've yet to win a single game of Pyramide. Apparently it's something like a 5% win rate...brutal! Have you ever played Ti Vitti? My great aunt Caterina plays that with her friends.
Thanks so much for watching and for the nice comment! Wow Ti Vitti, that’s something I haven’t heard in a long time. Yes I recall it, very Sicilian/southern Italian and a fun game even for kids. Perhaps I’ll give it a shot on here 🤔- thanks again!
@@Play-In-Games well, sometimes that happens to all of us. I sure appreciate this video and how you grandmother passed this game on to you. Thanks for sharing this. It brought back some nice memories.
Hi, your ytb channel is amazing. Understood the whole game appart from the fact you put the re at the back of the file 16:17. Can you please explane me how so that i can spare some time pls ?
Good question. I could have moved the whole left stack onto the Re/King starting with the Cavallo/Horse and down. Most players prefer to just move the smaller stack on top of the taller one, since it’s essentially the same move, just on a different space. You can do it either way, your choice. Thanks for watching!
- I think you missed an opportunity to play a card at 18:19 mark, but this isn’t Ti Vitti (and even if it were, I’m sure there’s a statute of limitations). Thanks for making all of these videos
Hi I started recently with Italian cards, when I started solitaire my fourth card was an ace, do I stack up above immediately and take an extra card for the lower row, or draw 4 cards and ad the fourth card?
Great question. You would raise up the ace and then replace that empty spot with the forth card drawn from the deck. Welcome to the world of Italian cards!
@@Play-In-Games thank you, i travelled to roma last month and learned scopa at the bar, now I'm obsessed hahah. Bought 4 Italian decks. Another question for solitaire, when I have two cards at the end of my hand, is it a bad sign? Am i supposed to draw 4 all the time?
I never pass up the satisfying feeling you get being "a completionist"!
Nice to unexpectedly hear Clara's theme song.
p.s.welcome back
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the nostalgia! My grandmother played a little different. She’d draw 1 card at a time but could only go through the deck twice.
Excellent variation: “Everyone deserves a second chance?”

Thanks so much for the great compliment! Glad to hear that you’re playing the classic Italian games!
Also helpful practice to become familiar with Italian cards and suits.

Thanks for the kind words. Let’s make sure everyone in America learns Scopa!

Thanks so much! Nana is the best and she’s still very much a part of our lives and stories!
I really like your videos, keep up the good work!
Cheers from Italy 👋
Grazie!
Thanks to you, I can help keep this game alive!

lol I actually had the same but when I got stuck I shuffled but then I got stuck again with my last three cards ?!? Tell me Chris!!!

I have never played this game
Interesting game
Thanks for watching!
Did you miss the option to put the 5 of spades on the six of cups initially ? Timeframe 19:53
I sure did, it's mentioned in the videos description and CC's. Such is the nature of solitaire. I wonder if I would have won if I saw it.

wow, this is like canfield! im gonna try this with my 50 carta spanish deck with the jokers removed

Also at 19:47 why didn’t you just play the five of swords on the six of cups?
@@jamesfain1236 Thanks for the catches! I added them in the description and in the Closed Captions.
What happens when the draw pile is down to 3 cards or less?
Good question. You won’t be able to flip the deck over at that point. Rather you can only use the top most shown card.
today I learned that a sword is a blunt instrument...
I could've sworn it was sharp
Only in the Renaissance Faire sense 😉
Okay, but can you do a waterfall finish like in Windows solitaire?
Lol, I’ve got to save something for Patreon!

@@The8tan So if you have less than 4 cards at the end you flip over the last card of the deck each time you get there.
@@Play-In-Games that makes sense, thank you for the quick reply, i managed to win at my sixth trial, I'm off to learn briscola now ^^
ever played solitaire with tarot cards?
No, I’m too afraid of losing AND getting a bad fortune!
just use a tuscany deck lol
