thanks for the video.. couldn’t find this game anywhere. My dad plays this and calls it century solitaire because it takes you a century to beat it. He’s played it all his life and finally got it to one stack for the first time ever. He’s 65 years old. Was taught this game by his grandpa when he was a kid. It was like hitting a hole in one or something in our house. A truly magical moment
I learned to play this recently but how I learned was to start with just one card and put down as you go along, not starting with six cards layed out. I would think it doesn't really matter, maybe my way makes it a bit more risky as you don't know what's coming next. The other thing is, I think you could score yourself by - 1 from the total piles left. And play against another person with their own deck.
can't thank you enough for this! I learned this from my Prussian grandma 40+ years ago and have beat it ONCE in my life. Have been looking for it's name for years so thank you. (btw, her old school rules don't have you start with any up, just start with the first card and go).
Thanks for putting this one up, nice and easy to learn but I don't think I'll ever win with one stack left..keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing what's next.
Love this game! I wonder what the best strategy is for number of cards to deal out. I like to deal a few more than just one even if there's a move I can make because occasionally there's a better move to come.
Found the rule pdf on wikipedia. This seems the lax interpretation. And still... I would add more options. knowing in advance I have a 99.5% chance of not winning, starting this up will take some courage.
First time playing this and I got 15 piles. I was doing so good and then it just started going in an AB pattern of spades and clubs Edit: my second time playing and I only got three piles
do you know of any games with a standard playing card deck that have role playing games in them?( preferably with no dice or paper) like a dungeon crawler or roguelike perhaps

That is so cool. Thanks for the great note. Down to one stack?! Impressive. Be sure to pass along a respectful 'tip of the hat' to your Dad!

Playing against another person is a great idea! Thx for the note.
I missed so many plays the first time I tried the game. But I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.

So glad you liked it! Yes winning it is a RARE occasion. But so fun to play. Thanks for the note!
I love how the accordion guy is always attentive to playing the accordion when he says 'accordion'.

Thank you for that note. Much appreciated.

Agreed. I like that strategy. More cards mean more options. Good call!
Another fine video. This is why I always mention your channel at the end of my videos. You make some excellent instructional video
Thank you so much!
04:11 did you miss the King could go onto the Queen??
Oops! I sure did. Good eye, sir!
Nice. I missed it too
Just going a little bit slower would have been great ...bit ty
epic accordion sound inbetwixt :D great, thanks
Why, thank you! Can't beat an epic accordion!
Do you win if you get it to one pile at any point in the game, or is it only when you finish off the deck?
Unfortunately only after you finish dealing off the deck. Not easy!
Thanks for the video
Thanks bro, my hand is broken from footy nd i am learning single player card games - leopino malafu

You can do it!

Only three? Very nice!!

Hmm. No I don't. But I'm curious. Let me know if you find something. Thx!!

I found ‘Clear the dungeon’ recently. Fun little game.
Do I have to stack always when there is an option or can I wait and draw more cards?
I think you can wait if your strategy dictates. I always stack whenever possible fearing the row gets too long to manage!
