- Since Betty missed her daughter's wedding, she wants Frasier and Lilith to renew their vows. Betty takes control of the situation. Lilith, feeling steamrolled into doing something she doesn't want to do, has to get up the nerve to stand up to her mother for the first time in her life.

I watched Cheers and I don't even recall this episode. Yes, Ms. Neuwirth is a fitting bride. I was in college,so, I must have been in class or the library or God knows where.
Lilith's mom actually looks like The Nanny's (Fran Fine's) Grandma Nettie Fine. If Lilith's "Mommy" was played by Marilyn Cooper, the actress received a Tony Award for her role onstage in Woman of the Year, in which she sang a hilarious duet with Lauren Bacall: "The Grass is Always Greener." Ms. Cooper was a superb singer and comic actress, who is fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Marilyn Cooper did protray both roles, and the lady did a fantastic job in both

She does. Also, present-day Trevor Einhorn looks kinda like a young John Mahoney. So maybe Frederick took after his grandparents rather than his parents.

This isn't their actual wedding. Betty (Lilith's mother) missed the first wedding and bullied Frazier and Lilith into a reenactment to appease her.

The late Estelle Getty from the Golden Girls would've made the perfect mother.
I know it's late but Estelle waa still under contract and filming Golden Girls at the time.

Actually, it was Betty Sternin who missed Frazier and Lilith's first wedding, she insisted/bullied Lilith and Frazier into reenacting the wedding for her.
