Thanks so much for watching!!! I appreciate every comment and thumbs up!
I should have put a card IN the envelopes and showed you. They are not roomy horizontally, but they are about half inch taller than purchased A2 envelopes. Just wanted you to know not exactly typical A2 envelope size. 💙💙💙
I noticed the "tight fit" as I slid a card into the envelope, using the 8 1/8" X 8 1/8" measurement and 3 3/4" score line. I am going to increase the measurement to 8 1/4" square to see if that will allow an easier fit.
I have the same kind of Punch as you. Thanks to"you"i figured out what i was doing wrong.I was not lining my score line up each time after that i tried your demo i had success!!!Thank you so very much!Linda S.
You are so very welcome!! It’s confusing. 💙
I found this video the most helpful, thank you so much. I also adapted the measurements for a true A2 fit. If you cut paper to 7 7/8 by 7 7/8 and score at 3 1/2, you will have an A2 envelope that is true to size without the half inch excess.
My husband and I sell our cards and use a2 cellophane bags so we needed a true size. I’ve made a note of the new size and taped it to my punchboard
Im happy I could help! Thanks, great tip! Sometimes I make REALLY dimensional cards so the space is nice, but not for the cellophane bags. 💙💙💙
7 7/8 by 7 7/8 score 3 1/2 is perfect
Great demo. Gluing the lower edge of the left and right flaps, will prevent the chance of the bottom flap getting glued to the inside. Using runner tape is also another quick adhesive option.
Clear and concise video. Thanks for the tutorial, Sis. And your nails look gorgeous. Blessings.
Thank you so much 🤗 I had to go see my nails- oh, yeah, I do love the blue tips!! My nails aren't looking that good today.🤣 Happy to help!💙💙💙
I know this is a old video, but i just wanted to say thank you for this. It really help me the way you put it. thank you.I'm glad you came up on my feed.
So happy to help! 😀 Sometimes my friends ask for videos when they are stumped and this envelope board had a lot of us confused. 💙😂 Happy crafting!
I have had my envelope maker for many years, but really don’t use it much, or not often enough! Every time I did I wasted so much paper before I got it right. After watching your video, I believe I have it mastered and will use it more often, because I love the pretty patterned paper envelopes. I have subscribed to your channel because I believe you explain things so well. Thank you for your video!
I am so happy to help!! Sometimes my friends loan me stuff like this and ask for a tutorial. That’s why I made this video. 😂 TFW! 💙💙💙
I was looking at getting one but was not sure how you use it, thank you so much for sharing how to use one.
You are so welcome! I’m not sure it’s a must have, but I’m happy to share what I know. 😁💙
Your videos are always beautifully done. You have a lovely voice and your tuition pace is first class, so that your viewers understand everything. We need more like you. Wishing you a Happy New Year and the success you deserve. Now I shall go buy this punch board. Jo xx
Thanks for the kind words, Josephine! This punch board is sort of a gadget that I would skip unless you are in love with it. 😁 If you love gadgets then go for for it!
I use my big scoreboard with angle piece for envelopes and it’s a multipurpose tool. Envelope making & help me choose paper

The directions that come with it are pretty tough. 💙💙💙
Loved your explanation. Thank you very much.
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊💙💙💙
This is an excellent tutorial!!!
Thanks so much, Jennifer! My friend was stumped by this and needed some help. 😁💙
Excellent tutorial! I FINALLY figured out how to use my punch board. Thanks so much.
You’re so welcome, Janet! I just stared at it blankly for a while. Once you figure it out then it seems obvious! 😂💙💙💙
Thanks so much! This is the best explanation l found on UA-cam!
You are very welcome! My friend asks me to make videos about things that don’t work for her. 😂💙
Oh my goodness....what a great video. Thank you. I've had my envelope maker for a long time and never knew about the reverse punch for corner rounds. I was always pulling out my corner puncher. How did I miss that? Thank you so much!
Isn’t it funny how we miss funny details sometimes!?! Your corner rounder might take less muscle. 😉TFW! 💙
Thank you! This is the third video I've watched to figure out how to use my punchboard. The first two had it all wrong!
It’s a tricky device, for sure. Seems like the instructions are a bit unclear. TFW and have fun! 💙💙💙
Love my envelope punch board. Great idea to use your slightly tattered on the edge paper to make envelopes.
I keep an empty 12x12 iris case in my car, just in case, but sometimes paper gets bent on the way home or because I hoard it for years. 😂
This video was a great help to me!
I'm so glad it was helpful!💙💙💙
Thank you thank you thank you your video made all the difference in the world.😀👍😀
So happy to help! I’m no expert, but some of the crafty tools do NOT come with clear instructions. 😂 TFW 💙💙💙
That was very helpful. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much, I watched other videos and was still stuck. You explained it perfectly, thank you.
So happy I could help! Happy crafting! 😁
Nice job! Just learning.
Welcome, Crystal! I hope you are having fun and making messes! 💙💙💙
Very helpful video as clearly my college education was insufficient to understand their simple instructions! Thank you!
Your comment cracked me up!! That’s totally how I felt at first too. 😂🤣😂 Happy to help! 💙💙💙
I hear yah girl, lol
I just gifted my we are memories keeper one. I got another in happy mail. Wen I first used one idk how many times I messed up lol bc of not understanding u only use the first score line number! There is also a way to make box envelopes with the punch board too but I haven’t done one of those in a while. Tfs crafty hugs 🤗
The directions are easy if you read them, but I was like you. I kept wanting to measure! 😂
I have this punch board and it is easier for me than my score board . There are so many cute projects you can make too 🤗
I did think it was super easy to use! I just don’t like to have stuff sitting around that isn’t multi use. I’m just too messy. 😂🤣🤷🏻♀️
I loved my punch board but as I've gotten older and eye sight diminished, I can't use it as much. TYFS! 🤓💖💖💖
What if you mark favorite measurements with a metallic sharpie or paint? If there’s a certain thing you like to make. Hugs!! 💙💙💙
Thank you on the A2 help!!!!
You’re so welcome!! 😄💙💙💙
Thank you so much you explained this the best out of all the videos
Thanks for watching, Evelyn! It’s sort of a confusing contraption. 😁💙💙💙
Thank you for this tutorial 💕💕💕
I am confused as to whether this punch board only does square envelopes or if it does rectangular as well? The grid seems to only show starting off with a square piece of paper, so presumably they are all only square? I wluld like a punchboard that does both.
A basic A2 (U.S.) size envelope starts with a square. It’s fairly common to start an envelope with a square, but create a rectangle. I hope that helps with your question. 😊
@@CraftingandRelaxing thank you ;)
I love using mine especially to making those costum envelopes and pockets 🙂 New subbie here looking forward to watching your channel.
Welcome! Thanks for joining! I usually use my scoreboard, but I wanted to try out the punch board. 💙💙💙💙
I have one and love it. My problem is how do I make an envelope larger than the sizes it gives on the board?
Maybe for larger envelopes you could just start it out the lazy envelope making way? Start with oversized paper. Lay object on paper and folder larger paper around it to create the envelope? Then tidy up with corner rounder if you want? I did that in another one of my envelope videos. I like envelopes so I have an envelope playlist. 😀 If you do one then you can write down measurement and create your own. First time(s) will be hard, but then you can write down the tricks like paper size and score line areas?
Hello- why do I sometimes get a not so straight envelope? Like- the score lines don’t exactly match the punch 🤷🏻♀️. Thanks
Maybe you’re hurrying, paper is slipping when you punch or it wasn’t lined up quite right? Maybe it’s a new style? 😊💙💙💙
I was wondering why you didn't use the punch at the very the top (next to the edge) of the board to round the edge for the middle, instead of hand cutting it. I saw another tutorial that shows how to use the other side of the punch.
You can absolutely use that rounder on the board! I don’t know if I forgot or if the camera angle made it tricky. Sorry, I should have mentioned that envelope punch boards come with corner rounders built in. Many of us already have corner rounders that are a bit easier to use too.
This was sooo helpful, thank you so much!!!)
You're so welcome, Melinda! Happy to help!! 💙💙💙
Does it only works for square envelopes?
The papers start square, but the envelopes are a variety of sizes at the end, not all squares. 💙 Thanks for watching and commenting.
Can you explain the measurement for a 2 1/2 X 3 size card is not the finished size when done. I measured 3xs than cut 5X5 when it didn't measured what indicated on board I did it again it measured bigger🤷♀️
I want to help, but I'm not sure I understand your question. I don't have the punch board any more so I can't look at it. Are you saying it doesn't make an envelope the actual size of the card as stated? Did it come out sort of big and sloppy? TFW & commenting! 💙💙💙
Happy Sunday Sarah ! I'm a fellow youtuber and a new subbie ❤️!
This was a very handy tutorial, I definitely learned something new today - tfs!
Welcome!! Thanks for joining us! I’ll check out your channel. If it’s cooking it’s not for me. 😂🤣😂🤣💙💙💙💙
@@CraftingandRelaxing lol, well, I don't cook unless you count... roasting the Alberta Registries? lol!
What does "6 Bar" mean on size chart?
It's a specific envelope size. It isn't one that I have ever made: 6 BAR Envelope (4 3/4 x 6 1/2). I don't think I would use that one.😁 Thanks for watching and commenting.💙💙💙
Are the measurements in inches or metric
Mine was all in inches, but maybe there are different versions, depending on where sold? Sure would have been easier if we all used one system. 😂😁💙
OMG thank you so much. I just got one of these and was reading the directions wrong. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong
It’s definitely not intuitive! 😂🤣😂 Happy to help! 💙💙💙
Same... all my envelopes were ending up square 😆
All measures are in inches, right?
Yes, sorry, I forget to say I’m in US. ☺️
Thanks for your answer! Will learn some inches then, because I just bought the same board 😆🤗
I don’t have one of these...will you show me how you use your scoreboard please???? Do you consider this a necessary tool??
I definitely don’t consider the envelope punch board a necessary tool. Remember, I don’t have one. 😂 Take a look at this playlist. There are a couple of scoreboard envelope videos. Be sure to let me know if you have questions after. ua-cam.com/play/PLTRdeR3SRJMRzWOUHH-TKuhMA0pAbv0SK.html
