Clara Schumann (born Clara Wieck) was Robert Schumann's wife and the daughter of Friedrick Wieck, Schumann's music teacher.
Oh whoops! Thanks for the correction!
1:05 Clara Schumann is Robert's wife, his sister was called Emelie
Ya , when I heard her say she was her sister I was like , waaaa.
I’d love a video going through all of them briefly and mentioning what technique each one focuses on.
Is there anything you didn't make a video for?! You're great!
I"m just learning this piece and found your video in 2020!. Thanks so much. Your ideas on phrasing really helped me understand how the piece should be played.
Terrific tutorial! Thank you very much.
Gracias Maestra por compartir tus enseñanzas.Te mando un abrazo desde Querétaro México.
this is so so helpful thank you
Thanks for this video! I learned it and then was looking for ideas on phrasing so this was perfect. And I love borscht, too. 🙂
Congrats on 10k subs!
Thanks :)
4 years later... impressive and well deserved
Thank you. Very helpful
Hey, lovely tutorial and playing, I enjoy these videos (I've started teaching piano in recent years so I've been searching on UA-cam for tips and tricks on teaching.) Hate to be nitpicky - I do have to point out that at 3:56, on the left hand you play a D instead of a C as the score indicates. I find myself making that exact mistake all the time!
Love the videos! They're super well- made, interesting, and crazy informative! Thank you! Apologies if this has been asked already, but are you planning on doing anything else on Liszt anytime soon? He's my favorite composer!
thanks again for these great videos! ❤
Thank you!!!!
Yes, Liszt is on the list. :) Probably in summertime!
Love the Liszt music, huh? *smiles at you*
:)
Please do a history on Prokofiev or Debussy
Good
I Like that one!!!!! my favorite is the Happy Farmer instead. can you upload my favorite song tutorial called: the Happy Farmer by Schumann?
The first chord seems to be C major sus4 bcz there is F note in the harmony (left hand) and E is a passing note in the melody
How would I know what level each of these pieces are? Is it best to play the book in order? (I don't know what grade I am in. I estimate myself to be around a grade 3 or 4 level RCM.)
Great tutorial. So much useful information regarding how to tackle a new piece. But what about that note outlining software you use starting at about 3:25 minutes. It is so helpful to read the exact note as it is being played. It makes learning the piece that much easier for me. Is it something I can purchase for my own piano playing?
Actually that's not software - that's the meticulous work of the editor +Septobus. In the near future I plan on testing out actual software that works in a similar way (right now I'm playing around with Flowkey), so if I find something useful I'll do a video on it!
Looking forward to that possible video. Thank you.
I am studying this, would you comment on lifting at the end of a phase? My teacher is emphasizing up/down / up movements with my wrist, to really physically come up on the note. BTW _ I have taken your level B. piano class; great instruction, well-paced, I'm a big fan of your teaching style, highly recommend to others.
Why does Spotify have this under abrsm grade 1, smh 😩
what is the name of accent articulation on the starting note at measure 5, note D? I know "accent" articulation has one decres. mark on the top of the note, not a cres and a decres.
musescore3 lists this as a soft accent, like a not too powerful accent.
This piece looks easy... until I tried it the first time!
Right?
4:23
Isn't the right-hand fingering awkward? I found the video looking for a interpretation of this piece precisely because of this since my teacher suggested the same fingerings, 5-4-5, I see you did the same. I'm having a hard time to get my hand around that at a decent speed.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
So, I have piano class tomorrow and I should had studied this days ago but... hahahaha

You talk too much. But you can stay at home when you come to Brazil.
