I picked up a .575 when I set up a 20 gauge a week or 2 ago. I really like the way it shoots. It was the Cabela’s BlackMaxx, which is the same as the Redhead Blackout.
It’s stout, but not 12 gauge stout. About like a heavy pheasant load. Also, most 20 ga guns are lighter than the 12 gauge versions, so there’s that factor too.
Looking promising.
The rolling crimp reminds me the good ol paper shells
A lot of turkey ammo is roll crimped. You can get a lot of shot in the hull and forgiving pressures doing so.

I have the Redhead version of that choke for my New Haven 600CT(Mossy 500), and it shoots great for me.
All very nice patterns actually. Seems like you didn’t have any blown out patterns even with the tightest of choke which is surprising. Great video 🇺🇸
Thank you, yeah I thought they all shot well, great stuff.
We try to make our loads forgiving in a variety of choke tubes. 👍
Thanks Criss great test.

Great looking ammo!! Did u shoot the custom load?
Yeah, that one posts on Sunday, it did very well.
How bad is the felt recoil?

The 1-5/8 oz payload feels a little more stout than a 3" duck load. Not terrible.
