Man, your videos are very good!!! How come you have so few subscribers? I decided to buy the Nomatic packpack after watching your review. Keep on the great job!
What do you guys think? Did I exaggerate the awesomeness of the tote-handle? Do you like the zipper pulls? Let me know all of your thoughts in the comments below :)
I went to check out the Duo and the Boundary Errant in person. While empty, the Errant actually felt softer on my back. Didn’t really pay attention to the straps. At first glance the features on the Errant seemed a lot better - I liked the two different options for top access and the side pockets, and I didn’t really mind the lack of side access to main compartment as I’m not a photographer. Initially the price made a big difference but the BF discounts have brought them closer. Lifetime warranty also makes the Duo seem like a more sustainable choice. I have 2 days left to make a decision and would appreciate some advice! FYI, I’m on the short side (5’8) with average build (maybe slightly stocky lower frame). I plan on using the pack as an urban EDC, for both business and casual. Will regularly take my 14” laptop around.
In fact I have already been paying attention to your background for a while. That city is awesome. Nobody will never get overweighted climbing so many hills. HO CHI MINH I am also get used to see. Good more rewiews to come.
Hey Aaron, Do you know why they took this bag off the official web site? Are they planning to make a new version that will include the prvke and transit features? I really like the prvke 21 but why aren’t they making a model of it without forcing people to buy a roll top, or a transit 21l would be cool
So stoked that you found the one for you and you made an EXCELLENT choice! The Duo has grown on me more and more since first reviewing it - imo it's the most underrated bag on the market right now. Let us know what you think of it once it arrives :)
One of your most comprehensive reviews: great! Re key holders: I find they're useless in bags, I just have a retractable one on my belt loop- sooo much more convenient.
Thanks dude! I gotta say though, I disagree about key holders. In a bag like the Boundary Supply Errant or the Modern Dayfarer Backpack they are perfectly placed and extremely accessible. But a retractable belt loop key ring sounds badass too lol
Yessss!!! Its a little bit different in the inside, I like he two soft stretch pockets, for my spare lenses + the little box on the bottom, but besides that is almost identical.. glad someone else thinks the same!
Thank you, just ordered through your link. Was between this and the PD Zip 20l, decided to go for this one based on your reviews. Love your content (and the timestamps!!), keep it up! BTW, it's on Black Friday sale, got it for $153.
Hey, I'm really liking this bag but I want to know 2 things before I pull the trigger. What are the dimensions of the laptop sleeve? My laptop is 14" tall and 11.5" wide. 2nd, does the laptop area have good padding/protection?
I have a question 🙂 is it enough durability in a bottom of the backpack? If i accidentally drop it... with my camera in it... will it survive?)) Thank you!
Great question! There is no additional padding on the bottom, so I would try your hardest not to drop it. Granted the cubby at the bottom and the lens compartments are very durable
Great content sir. I’m a firm believer if you watch more than 3-4 videos and are sincerely enjoying a channel you should just go ahead and subscribe. Subbed. Keep up the great work you two!
You are absolutely right. The Duo actually feels larger than the Errant.... boy I hate using that errant. The Duo however is organizational genius. If it came as a 26L, with a Dark Multicam, and sized to fit someone over 5'11, I would love mine all the more. It's just easy to get anything you need... camera included. But because of the size (me being 6'3)I always go back to my Mission Workshop Rhake, even though it's a little tricky to get into at times it feels like a dream and looks really nice. But overall you 100% nailed the review on this bag. Those zipper pulls ARE the best.
@@Nomads.Nation The Rhake is extremely high quality, as with all Mission Workshop gear. It's a little extra effort to get into the two front pouches, however they are immensely useful for access. The only bummer is the floating liner in the main compartment. It should be stitched down just to the top of the bottom pocket I think.
@@Paa375 I am sure that some people enjoy the Errant, however I haven't had a good experience with many of Boundaries goods. The Errant is way over designed, like it looked great in the design app and they rushed it to production before proper user testing. For many of us as I have read and experienced accessibility is a real issue, meaning it has lots of pockets and such but they are really hard to make good use of unless you have smaller hands. I am used to the quality and design of companies like Mission Workshop as I have many of their bags where the design quality, materials and craftsmanship are top notch. My Errant, had shotty manufacturing quality, crooked seams, improperly sewn zippers and the like and accessibility was dreadful. It's not to say Mission Workshop is perfect with their UX, but in the dozen or so products I have of theirs, quality is number one. What drew me to the Errant was the innovation, design and materials, but I felt the execution was poor. I am a designer and enterprise user experience architect by trade so I may be a little more particular. What I will say that the Errant in particular is better suited for an average body frame. Not so much for someone who is 6'3" and 215lbs. It's evident especially under load. And things like the rear security pocket was entirely unusable because it was so tight and I am not a freakishly large individual. I find even the Aux Compartment has nearly unusable slip pockets in the front main zipper compartment. Not only is the opening narrow and hard to see into, along with the rigidity of the fabric it's really hard to use. Looks great but not a great user experience for me. Their camera cubes are pretty awesome by themselves. However, with the upper cube installed in the Errant, it was nearly impossible to latch the magnetic closures and even zipping it took more effort than it should have. Even without being fully loaded. These are a few examples that I witnessed and experienced personally.
They are having a BF sale on Wandrd atm, would you consider this bag a good deal for 188$? I have a bigger body frame (broad shoulders) and am a bit of a stickler when it comes to comfort : /
I would def consider that a good deal. As for your comfort question - it’s really tough to say dude. But overall I would say this is a fairly comfortable bag (coming from a super skinny 5 foot 8 dude)
Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for this video. I purchased this backpack through Amazon (I live outside the US and the link in the description didn't have my country available for delivery, I hope you can add those to your references too!). Just wanted to say that I love this backpack, the recommendation was excellent. I hope that my sub and like can help you! Cheers!
Thank you so much for the support Cristobal! No worries on the affiliate link, I'm just glad you got the pack and found it useful! This is one of my all time faves, and the more I use it the more I love it :)
Alright, I've owned the bag for about a year. Just got back from my first trip with it. I'll admit, I did load it up but holy crap was it uncomfortable. Which 20-25l is the most comfortable in your opinion?
I've used both while filming these reviews, I gotta say I like the duo more than the peak design, because of the little cubby and the lens pockets. For camera gear, I'd choose the Duo any day.
For me personally I never like to carry anything in my pockets. Not sure why, I just find it annoying - especially keys. I prefer a backpack that has a designated place for all my gear, and for certain bits of gear to be very easily accessible. But maybe i'm too picky 😏
I think it's important in this case to remember that this is a cube based photographer back pack. So if you remove the cube it is just a backpack with side access and organization pockets. The bag can be bought without cubes on the wandrd website.

A retractable in the most accesible part of the bag would work, especially in a sling. But on the belt loop is so manly😉
i agree with tab Duo identical to peak design zip, i have HEX DSLR backpack which has the same zip system
