As a complete non-grunge song it sounds amazing. Something in between nirvana, stone temple pilots and screaming trees. You have a great eye for the unexpected combinations. Love it, man, keep it up!!!
Nu Metal is adjacent to post-grunge, which is adjacent to grunge. Down with the sickness is nu-metal, and this song is post-grunge, while nirvana was grunge.

@@asraarradon4115 Exactly. Dave Grohl called it Kurt "boiling nails in his throat". The only singer I know with that same torture in their voice was Janice Joplin, and she obviously doesn't sound like Kurt.
Dude...dude. For real, I was replying to a comment like 4 or 5 before yours. Some people arguing about whether or not it sounds like Nirvana. I told them to check out a deeeep cut called Old Age....dude. Great minds, right? Have a nice day.
Yup. If it wasn’t for Old Age, I’d say this sounds nothing like Nirvana doing anything. Even the comparison to Old Age, it still doesn’t sound like Nirvana but I really like it.
I love it when @macglocky gives us covers by bands that can no longer do it themselves. It is a wonderful gift to hear. You turn off your sense of disbelief and it sounds like it is really a new cover by the band. Thank you!
I keep coming back to this cover just because it's so well made. It's mad how legit this sounds like it could have been. Thanks for putting this out. Keep rocking 👌
It sounds like if Alice in Chains, Nine Inch nails, STP and Kurt all had a love child and then it performed down with the sickness and tbh.......I'm feeling it.

Wow..just, unbelievably Wow! I had to listen multiple times, it really makes me miss kurt even more for some reason. Damn great job... now it makes me want to hear what it'd sound like if Kurt covered korns freak on a leash or Metallicas one..
I know you did this video a while ago and I'm just seeing it now, but thank you for this. It brought me back to my teenage days and I could imagine myself hearing Nirvana make this a new cover song. It just made my day.

I hear so much Seether here....... Very awesome
Nirvana was basically hardcore punk. Soundgarden was metal/hard rock. Alice In Chains was pure metal. Pearl Jam was crap. None however, were grunge.
This is not Nirvana at all it is way too clean. He should've said Stone Temple Pilots sing down with the sickness.
This is haunting. I feel like Kurt would have covered it like this. Wow.
Sounds more like the guy from Seether than Kurt Cobain, but they are pretty similar.
Kurt would have been more whimpering and he would have made it sound like a heroin song
