I’ve always appreciated the subtle excellence of this JLC Sector Date. The Balance, The Simplicity, The way Light reflects differently depending on the surface depending on the angle. The Hollow syringe hands appear to literally float over the dial and create an interesting sense of depth. Trust me. It’s mesmerizing. Try one in if you can find one. You will not get this watch out of your mind. An absolute Gem.
So awesome. I just picked up mine a day after my bday this month and it too introduced me into high Horology. I’m loving it and it’s super versatile. Can’t wait to see a close up review and possibly strap options video.
I was looking for the Master Geographic version of this...but the new Vacheron Fiftxysix Calendar is a beast. Hard choice. Glad to see new content. And thanks to everyone for helping me locate a BB 79220r!
and what did you decide on ? I would go for chromo .. thin .. perfect size .. bicompas ... just perfect .. but between these two VC triple calendar hands down .. really nice looking ... they could of made the hour marks smaller etc .. but whatever ..
Hey Adam, love the watch. Looks absolutely stunning. Also the size proportions look bang on. Got my grail just before Xmas (omega seamaster 300 professional - James Bond fan lol) your video on road mapping was such a great help. Thank you
I bought one too, I think it looks better than the more expensive Master series watches. Admittedly it’s a printed dial and a pin buckle strap, but the brushed silver and the whitish/cream inner dial looks stunning. The see through back to see the movement is amazing too.
I Love this watch... the clean, elegant silver-grey dial and skeleton syringe hands. The Chronograph version is a little more sought after, but I find its a cluttered dial and one can miss a lot of the more subtle attributes. Also, it lacks the exhibition back of this watch.
I was at Reis-Nichols in Indy, IN for their 2017 client appreciation event and they had the full a full set of Master Control Sector dial watches. I walked out with the date only watch. Like you, I didn't think I would even see a sector dial in person let alone be able to purchase one. Best watch in my collection and the one I'd keep if I had to sell off all my other watches.
These Sector dials look so much better in person. For some reason the blue accents just don't reproduce well on screen. My JLC Sector Chronograph arrives tomorrow and will compliment a Geophysic TS I picked up a few months ago. JLC represents real value for money for a high horology brand.
I really like the deadbeat complication on the JLC TS. Very special and understanding of its origins just adds to its uniqueness. The finish on the movement and that 22K rotor is amazing. The Sector dial MC Chronograph will replace an Omega Speedmaster Reduced and completes my collecting goals as far as higher end pieces goes.
Wing Yip I would say this ... as the movement in the vc is very small and not on the quality of the VC. Either go for the que de leil ( you can get them for 10 k euro on grey market brand new ) or this jlc sector if u like the design
Congrats on picking up the JLC! Like you, this past year, I've learned so much about Horology (e.g., brands, designs, movements, components, metals). Because of this, I now have a better understanding and appreciation of brands and watches. I buy on the used market, so I'm very selective on seller and condition. To date, I have a Rolex Sub and just purchased a Rolex Explorer 2. My next watch will most likely be a JLC Reverso. Cheers, Mike K
JLC has not officially announced anything concerning length of run, just that it was a limited production watch that will not be part of it's full time lineup. But that is typically of most limited run watches from most brands. Very little to no information, unless it is a limited edition. Then they want you to know that that you better get yours now before they are gone...
Hey guys. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I cited your article about TGV in my most recent video: ua-cam.com/video/iOv505GlfzQ/v-deo.html The citation starts at 8 minutes and 45 seconds.
Yes I agree, was disappointed to see that it was a pin buckle strap. This makes the strap wear out much faster and they are costly to replace. Deployment clasp would have been more preferable for me especially as the watch costs £5000 in the UK
These are not difficult to get. I went to buy it but didn’t like it at all. It was way smaller in person and the strap was so delicate. Not a big fan of this in person. I had the high expectation to reality here. I still love this brand.
ripperx444 dude it’s 39 mm ?! How can this be small you mean to big ? A dress watch should be 36-38. Anything else is a sport watch. But that’s me .. when I was young I used to wear 45mm watches ... thank god I am older now hehe
Andy Kiesling it’s too thin. The strap is also thin and tapers so much. The tang buckle is so tiny as well. The watch has no weight to it. I bought the sector dial chrono version and it’s much nicer all the way around. That’s a perfect size if you are a man.
u mean just a worker in some north american country (which one canada, usa, mexico or cuba ?) cuz the designers, engineers, and marketing people are all in in Switzerland. but hey he could be right... id better hurry up getting the chrono! take care buddy, good luck with that beauty!
No, by an Executive. In the United States, the term "executive" means an extremely high level employee in management that is running a specific part of the company or the company as a whole. Get the chrono stat!
I hope you broke up friendship with your guy ... this is here to stay ... just like Patek, jlc wants to increase the variation of their top selling models ... and the way to do it is to make different dials and make them rxheaper so that people can afford it ... this date model is nice but what do you love so much about it ? I might get it ... just not sure if 39 mm is too big ... would be perfect at 37 with those huge lugs
lol where is your comment about the `ilc representative .. and it being hundred percent a limited run ? hehehehehehe in your face!!!!!! is he still an executive sitting on his toilet shitting ? and creating fake statements ? hehe just joking bro .. you didn't know .. its his fault .. take care... enjoy the watch
Je collectionne des Jaeger Lecoultre depuis des années , je peux dire que depuis la reprise de la marque par le groupe Richemont est synonyme d'envolée des prix et de mauvais goûts esthétiques.

An absolute Gem.
you know it
JLC is one of my favorite manufacturers and I will hopefully own one one day
I’ve got the same watch. I got mine on their flagship store last October 2017. I just love the aesthetics and versatility of this watch
So awesome. I just picked up mine a day after my bday this month and it too introduced me into high Horology. I’m loving it and it’s super versatile. Can’t wait to see a close up review and possibly strap options video.
That is one sexy piece. No applied markers, but looks better without. I can't wait till they run out and then become collectible.
You never did a follow up video on this. I was hoping to see it on different strap combos? Is it still in the works?
You guys know where patrick is?
Awesome watch! Wear it in good health!
Federico Talks Watches I picked one up yesterday...I am blown away!

Wow you guys are alive! Gorgeous watch
What’s the lug to lug measurement on this beauty? Can’t seem to find it anywhere. Thanks.

awesome man! congrats!
its beautiful! Congratulations.

Mark Lisanby bravo
Yas. Makes me want one too. And also, happy 2017 everyone!
Lol

what a killer combo! You're gonna love it!!!!

Great video great watch!!
Congrats. Looking forward to a closer look and review in the near future on this one.

Love love love this watch do the full review please
And no full review on this thus far 😔
Can you tell me the lug width? 20mm or 21mm?
Min Choi 20
Interesting the jlc ad in Harrods told me 2 year run
thats interesting, the first time i'm hearing that. if it was straight from JLCs mouth then it must be true?

Great watch enjoy 👍🏼
Looks almost like a Memovox dial
Nice watch.

I was hoping this would come with a deployant clasp, other than that, im a fan.

who told you its a one year run ? like some guy and you quote him ? also sadly they have made a lot of cost saving actions .. like the pin buckle
Andy Kiesling this has been confirmed by a good friend of mine directly by a North American JLC executive
