- Former MP Joanna Cherry is calling for Nicola Sturgeon to apologise for the SNP's general election disaster. Cherry, who lost her Edinburgh South West seat to Labour, said it had become "difficult to persuade people to vote SNP" and blamed Sturgeon, who stepped down 15 months ago, for the defeat.
The ex-First Minister is facing backlash from SNP members who believe her mistakes led to the poor results. Criticism also followed her appearance on ITV’s election night coverage, where she denied responsibility while being accused of "pontificating" over the party's failure.

I disagree. Some of my very nice, respectable elderly lady friends admiited they were voting Liebour.
