I always see these reactions late because I'm at work all day, so by the time I get home, there are 140 comments already, which means I'm probably not going to say anything someone else hasn't already said, but I'll say it anyway. There once was a band called Destrose, which featured a revolving door of female metal musicians. The only constant was guitarist Mina, because it was her band. Mina eventually left her own band, and Destrose carried on without her for about 5 seconds and then folded. Their longest serving member besides Mina was bass player Miho. Miho decided that she wanted to start an old school 80s style metal band that played the kind of music she loved. Specifically, music inspired by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc), German/European Power Metal (especially Helloween), and Thrash (Metallica, Slayer, etc). So she recruited her former Destrose band-mate drummer Haruna, who had "retired" several months before Destrose collapsed, and then (in order) shred queen Midori, classically trained composer/guitar/piano virtuoso Miyako (as a "support" player at first, but then as a permanent member), and finally vocalist Asami, who had no heavy metal background but sent in a demo which Miho liked. That was 2016 and the result was Lovebites. Miho's favourite band is Iron Maiden, and her favourite bass player is Steve Harris. Asami has been compared to Bruce Dickinson by a shit-ton of writers, fans, and reactors, which is a pretty apt comparison, and was no doubt something Miho picked up on from day 1. Her love of Iron Maiden is all over Lovebites music, so it's always amusing/annoying when some reactors say they're like a "female DragonForce" because I guess that's all they know to compare them to. I like how quickly you picked up on the Maiden influence, and pretty much everything about them. That was awesome. Anyway, Miyako composes the majority of Lovebites songs, 50 or 60 percent I'd guess. The other members, mostly Miho, compose the rest in tandem with "6th Lovebites member" Mao, who also plays keyboards and like Miyako is classically trained. Miho's written around 25 percent of Lovebites music, give or take. Some of her songs tend to be face melting fan favourites like Hammer of Wrath, MDO, Break The Wall, Thunder Vengeance, and The Apocalypse. I mention that because she's the visionary, the founder of the group, its leader and spokesperson, their resident headbanging metal fanatic, who many Lovebites fans consider the heart and soul of Lovebites, as well as being a significant contributor of their songs including their most in your face capital-M Metal for breakfast thrashfests, all of which is significant because just two days ago Miho made a shock announcement that she was leaving Lovebites, and Lovebites announced that they're "temporarily suspending all activities as Lovebites", which really sucks because if you know how the Japanese industry is, these sorts of announcements are always very diplomatic and reassuring and intentionally vague and often completely removed from reality - point being nobody knows what's really going on, we only know what lawyer, management, and PR-approved official statements have said, which is worrying because so may Japanese bands have taken "temporary breaks" that never end, or end 15 years later, so hopefully that's not going to happen in this case, but losing Miho isn't the same thing as just losing a bass player, so it's not one of the typical situations where a bandmember leaves and they just get a new one and carry on, it's really a very big deal and we're all sad and worried. Anyway, my comment is too long, but that was a great reaction.

Sadly, Miho left the band (August 17, 2021). For now Lovebites suspended their activity for a while. On March 26, 2021 Lovebites "Heavy Metal Never Dies" will be the last live concert for Miho.

Ace reaction. This tells me just how much you understand the depth of talent you’ve just discovered. They are your new favourite band, you just haven’t realised it yet. I give it two more songs, max, before you’ll be grasping to listen to everything… and to date “everything” is a catalogue of 50 tracks in only 4.5 years of recording.
This was the first song I ever heard from them some years back... it drove me over like a freight train. At the half tempo part I had to pick up my jaw from the floor and all I could think was "they TOTALLY FUCKING LEGIT!!!!" They're bringing back the absolute mastery of instruments, technical virtuosity and face smelting shredding and solos... and the all so wonderful 80's metal influences. I adore them so much.

Welcome to the wolfpack the world of Lovebites fans. I had the same kind of reaction when I first heard Lovebites. It was on another track "when destinies align" video clip. It was unreal, I was blown away by what I had heard. Ah my personal opinion it's the best metal band I've ever listened to in my life. All their songs are phenomenal. They play musical colors that could be compared to bands from the 80's like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween. I have never seen or heard a band with such talent. Since 2016 they have done about 50 tracks none of them are bad. You will go from surprise to surprise. Unfortunately we have just learned on 17/08 the departure of Miho the bass player from the band. It's a hard blow but we hope that this band will continue in the future because it deserves a worldwide recognition.

Greetings from Brazil! I love this band and yes, Miho is a stuning bassist, and she is like a Steve Harris of Lovebites "the boss" , unfortunately she left the band, but they will continue and I will hope for someday she's back for a reunion with the best band in nowdays.

They are the dream-team, but we are all crushed because just a few days ago, princess Miho the bass player announced she was leaving the band. Lovebites has a new concert blu-ray/dvd coming out at the end of September. We have already pre-ordered our copies, and you should get one too. They are not sold in the USA, but you can make an account with Amazon-Japan. They will take American credit cards, and they will ship to the USA when it releases. I personally guarantee it will be WORTH IT. It is the last concert/tour with the original members. The next time they play a show someplace.... they will have a new bass player.
Miho/bass is a Steve Harris fanatic and she has 500+ metal tees in her collection (the true metal-head of this band). They play Power, Speed, Thrash, Rock, Prog, Ballads and even classical piano (yes classical piano and metal from Miyako the one with the "eyes" shreds the piano better than the guitar). Formed in 2016 and started in 2017, they were the 1st all female band from Japan to play Wacken Open Air and then Bloodstock 2018. Hammer's best new metal band award winners for 2018! LIVE they are flawless perfection at speeds that will simply blow you away. Asami/vocals never sang metal till she auditioned for the band (R n B/Jazz/Soul background) but this little (they are all petite, Miyako (eyes) is the only one over 5') Napoleon commands the stage, the crowd and the band and bellows out over the thunder behind her with a range to die for. The 4' 9" drummer/Haruna makes the energizer bunny look anemic and just destroys that kit non-stop during a 2 hour concert. Anything these ladies do is exceptional as they have taken all the great bands of the 80" and elevated those influences with their insane talent. This song is great but IMHO doesn't even make the top 10 of the 50+ songs in their arsenal. Try Hammer of Wrath or Break the Wall for Thrash; Scream for Me for Rock; Empty Daydream is a great song that shows off a lot of the talent in the band (ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html). Hell pick anything and the Wolf-Pack (fan base) can guarantee you will never be disappointed by this band.

Night Wish… MIHO is an absolute MONSTER on the bass! And you can totally see that she is a fan of the almighty Steve Harris in her style and handling of the bass. It’s not an instrument, it’s another appendage! I am so sad to see her go seeing as we JUST found them. But I hope she moves on to exciting things! We are on the lookout! ASAMI is my new BRUCE ( as in the one and only BRUCE DICKINSON) in the way she commands the stage, and has that same style of singing as if story telling through song. Just the kind of reation Lovebites deserve. Did you notice that the bass player (Miho, who unfortunately has left the band since this video was recorded) did her tapping one handed, left hand came off the neck and she did all the tapping around the fifteenth fret and above with her right hand only. Any bass palyer will tell that it is very difficult to do that.

The band's leader and bassist Miho The day before yesterday she announced her withdrawal from LOVEBITES At the same time, LOVEBITES announced that it would stop working as a band. Lovebites music is actually better seen in their live performances because you get the full flavor and bite. The dark hair guitarist you referred to is Miyako and she is the quiet mad genius who writes much of their music. She is also a classically trained pianist since age three. They do not have a bad song in 2016 they formed 3 Albums 4 EP's and soon to be 4 Live Albums they won the Best new Power Metal band in 2018. Formed by Bassist Miho and Drummer Haruna who recruited Midori (Blonde) and Miyako who also plays Piano at a concert pianist level.
The reason nobody knows of this band is because they are from Japan and they have never toured in the USA.. yet. They want to when the pandemic stops. They get little to no promotion in the USA which is why the wolfpack of fans is trying to promote them on UA-cam. You guys are officially invited to join the wolfpack. @@cherylbrownsugarchances5355 On one of the Lovebites Facebook groups, someone brought up a good point that the regulations for visiting the US and the cost of a Visa is prohibitive for many artists. That was exacerbated by some of Trump's policies that made it an even steeper hill to climb (not to be political, it's just the reality), even just to obtain a temporary Visa to visit, and of course, the pandemic made it even worse. With a new administration, perhaps we will see a relaxation of the prohibitive costs and rules to play the US, after the pandemic. We can only hope!

Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.

Welcome to the world of Lovebites. Once you go down this rabbit hole, there is no escaping. They are, in my opinion, the best metal band today. They hit on all the elements of metal I love, from traditional metal to power metal to thrash. As you heard, they are all master musicians and Asami can belt it out with the best of them. Unfortunately, Miho, the bass player, recently resigned from the band. It's a damn shame as she is an amazing player. Whoever they replace her with has some big shoes to fill. They honestly do not have a bad song. They bring something special in just about every song they play. The one song that I recommend is Break The Wall. It shows off their thrash style and Miyako, the dark-haired guitarist rips an amazingly intense guitar solo. And for a guitar clinic, listen to Scream For Me. You will hear amazing dual guitar work. Whichever song you react to, listen to their live performances. This is where they shine the most.

Unfortunately the band is now on hiatus, bassist/co-founder Miho just left the band... but her statement n the bands is that they will carry on soon... the band formed in 2017 by Miho and drummer Haruna after their band Destrose dissolved 🤘
Actually the Riffs are an Amalgamation of Exodus,Anthrax,Slayer, Metallica ,etc... but up Tempo and with a emphasis on Iron Maiden/RacerX Twin lead harmonies throughout the songs. However they have a very Unique and Listener Friendly sound. Hoping they own the World for many years to Come.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, the white gowns are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes. Some data on the band: The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The Golden Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also. Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable! Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold. Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :) On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band - a great talent who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bassist, the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group. Fun fact: Fami is the tallest member of the band, at 5'2" tall. :)

The smiles I saw on your faces as soon as they kicked in, I thought: "now this going to be a good reaction". And I couldn't agree with you guys more. They're excellent. Sadly, the bass player announced a couple of days ago she's leaving the band. It happens, but the band has said they plan to continue. If you guys like bass players, I'd highly recommend Band Maid. They're another all female Japanese band, though they tend to lean more to hard rock. But Misa, their bass player, is legendary. I'd recommend starting with their most recent live double release, "Manners" and "Black Hole". Subbed and looking forward to the next one.

Well, you’ve been severely lovebitten, too. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile great musicians. They are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Some say that they are redefining metal. Good point, they have influences from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Helloween, Deep Purple, Dragonforce and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Miho is a fan of Steve Harris, but unfortunately she has just decided to leave the band. I dearly hope the rest of the girls continue their musical journey because they still have so much to offer.

you are pretty good: bassplayer miho is founder, was backbone and metal soul of lovebites. a big fan of maiden and all the good stuff and a great admirer of steve harris too. all of them are masters of their art. the "cool" guitarist miyako is also their main composer and a classical pianoplayer on pro level. they exist since 2016 and have a back catalogue of four albums, three EPs and three live blurays. and not even one bad song! not even a filler. good that you found them. lots of excellent uplifting music to discover. they love metal. bad news is, that bassplayer miho anounced on tuesday, 17th , that she is leaving the band. the band anounced they will have a hiatus. let´s hope they´ll find a fine new bassist and that they all miho, band, crew and worldwide dedicated followers will be ok. you made a great passionate reaction video. next one: "break the wall" from the same concert.

YES!! Their recent "Live" video of "Manners" followed by "Black Hole" gives a listen to a couple of their very different sounds. Manners for classic/alt rock, and "Black Hole" for heavy and fast. Bassist Misa is one of the greatest for creativity and fitting her bass line to express the song. And lead guitar, shred, incredible tapping work, Kanami is second to none. She lets other people shine, doesn't hog it, but when she lets loose, look out. And Akane the drummer (who is a friend of Haruna here) is a great one too. Band-Maid in their field are at the same high level of professionalism as Lovebites is in theirs.
Sadly, the bassist Miho has decided to leave the band. Future of these ladies is unknown...they say they will continue, but who knows for sure. Tremendously talented ladies. I think they've opened for Dragonforce a few times. Don't think they have any bad songs though. Positive lyrics, amazing guitars/bass and even piano. Another great bassist you might check out is Misa from Band-Maid.
They'll be back. There are a couple different Japanese phrases that broadly translate as "hiatus," and while one of them that's commonly used by bands is better understood as "suspension of activities" and usually means they're done for good, the one Lovebites used has a strong connotation of _temporary_ interruption. I really do think this is exactly as represented: a temporary break to rest a bit and then search for the right replacement...someone who can not only play the bass in a way that works with their material, but also fits into the band chemistry.
I love your enthusiasm :-) When it comes to Lovebites you really can't go wrong with song choice. Even their low points are pretty damn high. Stay away from Bloodstock 2018, as the audio is pretty bad. Other than that, live over music videos, I'd say. Audio good, video good and Asami (singer) has the audience in her hand from the first second to the last. They are the best of the 80s metal mixed with moden techniques and they got me through 2020! Been listening to metal since early 80s and this is the best new I've heard! Again, you can't go wrong ;-)

I always see these reactions late because I'm at work all day, so by the time I get home, there are 140 comments already, which means I'm probably not going to say anything someone else hasn't already said, but I'll say it anyway.
There once was a band called Destrose, which featured a revolving door of female metal musicians. The only constant was guitarist Mina, because it was her band. Mina eventually left her own band, and Destrose carried on without her for about 5 seconds and then folded. Their longest serving member besides Mina was bass player Miho. Miho decided that she wanted to start an old school 80s style metal band that played the kind of music she loved. Specifically, music inspired by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc), German/European Power Metal (especially Helloween), and Thrash (Metallica, Slayer, etc). So she recruited her former Destrose band-mate drummer Haruna, who had "retired" several months before Destrose collapsed, and then (in order) shred queen Midori, classically trained composer/guitar/piano virtuoso Miyako (as a "support" player at first, but then as a permanent member), and finally vocalist Asami, who had no heavy metal background but sent in a demo which Miho liked. That was 2016 and the result was Lovebites. Miho's favourite band is Iron Maiden, and her favourite bass player is Steve Harris. Asami has been compared to Bruce Dickinson by a shit-ton of writers, fans, and reactors, which is a pretty apt comparison, and was no doubt something Miho picked up on from day 1. Her love of Iron Maiden is all over Lovebites music, so it's always amusing/annoying when some reactors say they're like a "female DragonForce" because I guess that's all they know to compare them to. I like how quickly you picked up on the Maiden influence, and pretty much everything about them. That was awesome. Anyway, Miyako composes the majority of Lovebites songs, 50 or 60 percent I'd guess. The other members, mostly Miho, compose the rest in tandem with "6th Lovebites member" Mao, who also plays keyboards and like Miyako is classically trained. Miho's written around 25 percent of Lovebites music, give or take. Some of her songs tend to be face melting fan favourites like Hammer of Wrath, MDO, Break The Wall, Thunder Vengeance, and The Apocalypse. I mention that because she's the visionary, the founder of the group, its leader and spokesperson, their resident headbanging metal fanatic, who many Lovebites fans consider the heart and soul of Lovebites, as well as being a significant contributor of their songs including their most in your face capital-M Metal for breakfast thrashfests, all of which is significant because just two days ago Miho made a shock announcement that she was leaving Lovebites, and Lovebites announced that they're "temporarily suspending all activities as Lovebites", which really sucks because if you know how the Japanese industry is, these sorts of announcements are always very diplomatic and reassuring and intentionally vague and often completely removed from reality - point being nobody knows what's really going on, we only know what lawyer, management, and PR-approved official statements have said, which is worrying because so may Japanese bands have taken "temporary breaks" that never end, or end 15 years later, so hopefully that's not going to happen in this case, but losing Miho isn't the same thing as just losing a bass player, so it's not one of the typical situations where a bandmember leaves and they just get a new one and carry on, it's really a very big deal and we're all sad and worried. Anyway, my comment is too long, but that was a great reaction.

Sadly, Miho left the band (August 17, 2021). For now Lovebites suspended their activity for a while. On March 26, 2021 Lovebites "Heavy Metal Never Dies" will be the last live concert for Miho.

Welcome to the wolfpack the world of Lovebites fans. I had the same kind of reaction when I first heard Lovebites. It was on another track "when destinies align" video clip. It was unreal, I was blown away by what I had heard. Ah my personal opinion it's the best metal band I've ever listened to in my life. All their songs are phenomenal. They play musical colors that could be compared to bands from the 80's like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween. I have never seen or heard a band with such talent. Since 2016 they have done about 50 tracks none of them are bad. You will go from surprise to surprise. Unfortunately we have just learned on 17/08 the departure of Miho the bass player from the band. It's a hard blow but we hope that this band will continue in the future because it deserves a worldwide recognition.

They are the dream-team, but we are all crushed because just a few days ago, princess Miho the bass player announced she was leaving the band. Lovebites has a new concert blu-ray/dvd coming out at the end of September. We have already pre-ordered our copies, and you should get one too. They are not sold in the USA, but you can make an account with Amazon-Japan. They will take American credit cards, and they will ship to the USA when it releases. I personally guarantee it will be WORTH IT. It is the last concert/tour with the original members. The next time they play a show someplace.... they will have a new bass player.

Miho/bass is a Steve Harris fanatic and she has 500+ metal tees in her collection (the true metal-head of this band). They play Power, Speed, Thrash, Rock, Prog, Ballads and even classical piano (yes classical piano and metal from Miyako the one with the "eyes" shreds the piano better than the guitar). Formed in 2016 and started in 2017, they were the 1st all female band from Japan to play Wacken Open Air and then Bloodstock 2018. Hammer's best new metal band award winners for 2018! LIVE they are flawless perfection at speeds that will simply blow you away. Asami/vocals never sang metal till she auditioned for the band (R n B/Jazz/Soul background) but this little (they are all petite, Miyako (eyes) is the only one over 5') Napoleon commands the stage, the crowd and the band and bellows out over the thunder behind her with a range to die for. The 4' 9" drummer/Haruna makes the energizer bunny look anemic and just destroys that kit non-stop during a 2 hour concert. Anything these ladies do is exceptional as they have taken all the great bands of the 80" and elevated those influences with their insane talent. This song is great but IMHO doesn't even make the top 10 of the 50+ songs in their arsenal. Try Hammer of Wrath or Break the Wall for Thrash; Scream for Me for Rock; Empty Daydream is a great song that shows off a lot of the talent in the band (ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html). Hell pick anything and the Wolf-Pack (fan base) can guarantee you will never be disappointed by this band.

Night Wish… MIHO is an absolute MONSTER on the bass! And you can totally see that she is a fan of the almighty Steve Harris in her style and handling of the bass. It’s not an instrument, it’s another appendage! I am so sad to see her go seeing as we JUST found them. But I hope she moves on to exciting things! We are on the lookout!
ASAMI is my new BRUCE ( as in the one and only BRUCE DICKINSON) in the way she commands the stage, and has that same style of singing as if story telling through song. Her presence is POWERFUL with a voice to match! And don’t even get me started on HARUNA!! OMFingG!!! She beats the shit out of those drums with such power and driving force! Seeing as the drums was the first instrument I learned, and my brother J is a DRUM GOD!!!… the drums are always the first thing I pay attention to along with the bass ( my other but equal LOVE). Watching and hearing her play brings me such joy! MIYAKO… well… MIYAKO dude kicks so much ass… I am still trying to find the words to explain how I feel… just know that once I do, I will go on a small rant! She’s a phenom! And MIDORI.. yo.. I am super stoked to watch her more, because her presence is overwhelming! She makes playing look effortless, and when she solos, you can’t stop banging your head! Hell… I miss half of the videos all the time, and have to always watch a few more hundred times to see everything! Lol

Just the kind of reation Lovebites deserve. Did you notice that the bass player (Miho, who unfortunately has left the band since this video was recorded) did her tapping one handed, left hand came off the neck and she did all the tapping around the fifteenth fret and above with her right hand only. Any bass palyer will tell that it is very difficult to do that.

Lovebites music is actually better seen in their live performances because you get the full flavor and bite. The dark hair guitarist you referred to is Miyako and she is the quiet mad genius who writes much of their music. She is also a classically trained pianist since age three. Miyako is a musical genius.

They do not have a bad song in 2016 they formed 3 Albums 4 EP's and soon to be 4 Live Albums they won the Best new Power Metal band in 2018. Formed by Bassist Miho and Drummer Haruna who recruited Midori (Blonde) and Miyako who also plays Piano at a concert pianist level.
The reason nobody knows of this band is because they are from Japan and they have never toured in the USA.. yet. They want to when the pandemic stops. @@cherylbrownsugarchances5355 On one of the Lovebites Facebook groups, someone brought up a good point that the regulations for visiting the US and the cost of a Visa is prohibitive for many artists. That was exacerbated by some of Trump's policies that made it an even steeper hill to climb (not to be political, it's just the reality), even just to obtain a temporary Visa to visit, and of course, the pandemic made it even worse. With a new administration, perhaps we will see a relaxation of the prohibitive costs and rules to play the US, after the pandemic. We can only hope!

Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.

Lovebites been around since 2016. Bassist Miho formed this with drummer Harunna. Asami is the vocalist. Miyako is dark haired guitarist, plays Dean guitars and Les Paul. Oh, Burden of time, watch Miyako play both guitar in left hand and piano with right hand. Miyako is very melodic, emotional, in solos. Midori is the flashy, thrash soloist.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites. Once you go down this rabbit hole, there is no escaping. They are, in my opinion, the best metal band today. They hit on all the elements of metal I love, from traditional metal to power metal to thrash. As you heard, they are all master musicians and Asami can belt it out with the best of them. Unfortunately, Miho, the bass player, recently resigned from the band. It's a damn shame as she is an amazing player. Whoever they replace her with has some big shoes to fill. They honestly do not have a bad song. They bring something special in just about every song they play. The one song that I recommend is Break The Wall. It shows off their thrash style and Miyako, the dark-haired guitarist rips an amazingly intense guitar solo.
And for a guitar clinic, listen to Scream For Me. You will hear amazing dual guitar work. Whichever song you react to, listen to their live performances. This is where they shine the most.

Unfortunately the band is now on hiatus, bassist/co-founder Miho just left the band... but her statement n the bands is that they will carry on soon... the band formed in 2017 by Miho and drummer Haruna after their band Destrose dissolved 🤘
Actually the Riffs are an Amalgamation of Exodus,Anthrax,Slayer, Metallica ,etc... but up Tempo and with a emphasis on Iron Maiden/RacerX Twin lead harmonies throughout the songs. However they have a very Unique and Listener Friendly sound. Hoping they own the World for many years to Come.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, the white gowns are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes.
Some data on the band:
The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The Golden Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also.
Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable!
Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold.
Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :)
On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band - a great talent who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bassist, the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group.
Fun fact: Fami is the tallest member of the band, at 5'2" tall. :)
You guys love the bass player, but sadly, Miho just announced his retirement from the grop on August 17th., 2021

The smiles I saw on your faces as soon as they kicked in, I thought: "now this going to be a good reaction". And I couldn't agree with you guys more. They're excellent. Sadly, the bass player announced a couple of days ago she's leaving the band. It happens, but the band has said they plan to continue. If you guys like bass players, I'd highly recommend Band Maid. They're another all female Japanese band, though they tend to lean more to hard rock. But Misa, their bass player, is legendary. I'd recommend starting with their most recent live double release, "Manners" and "Black Hole". Subbed and looking forward to the next one.

Well, you’ve been severely lovebitten, too. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile great musicians. They are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Some say that they are redefining metal. Good point, they have influences from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Helloween, Deep Purple, Dragonforce and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Miho is a fan of Steve Harris, but unfortunately she has just decided to leave the band. I dearly hope the rest of the girls continue their musical journey because they still have so much to offer.

you are pretty good: bassplayer miho is founder, was backbone and metal soul of lovebites. a big fan of maiden and all the good stuff and a great admirer of steve harris too. all of them are masters of their art. the "cool" guitarist miyako is also their main composer and a classical pianoplayer on pro level. they exist since 2016 and have a back catalogue of four albums, three EPs and three live blurays. and not even one bad song! not even a filler. good that you found them. lots of excellent uplifting music to discover. they love metal.
bad news is, that bassplayer miho anounced on tuesday, 17th , that she is leaving the band. the band anounced they will have a hiatus. let´s hope they´ll find a fine new bassist and that they all miho, band, crew and worldwide dedicated followers will be ok.

Their recent "Live" video of "Manners" followed by "Black Hole" gives a listen to a couple of their very different sounds. Manners for classic/alt rock, and "Black Hole" for heavy and fast.
Bassist Misa is one of the greatest for creativity and fitting her bass line to express the song.
And lead guitar, shred, incredible tapping work, Kanami is second to none. She lets other people shine, doesn't hog it, but when she lets loose, look out.
And Akane the drummer (who is a friend of Haruna here) is a great one too.
Band-Maid in their field are at the same high level of professionalism as Lovebites is in theirs.
Sadly, the bassist Miho has decided to leave the band. Future of these ladies is unknown...they say they will continue, but who knows for sure. Tremendously talented ladies. I think they've opened for Dragonforce a few times. Don't think they have any bad songs though. Positive lyrics, amazing guitars/bass and even piano. Another great bassist you might check out is Misa from Band-Maid.
They'll be back. There are a couple different Japanese phrases that broadly translate as "hiatus," and while one of them that's commonly used by bands is better understood as "suspension of activities" and usually means they're done for good, the one Lovebites used has a strong connotation of _temporary_ interruption. I really do think this is exactly as represented: a temporary break to rest a bit and then search for the right replacement...someone who can not only play the bass in a way that works with their material, but also fits into the band chemistry.
I am here to suggest Nemophila too. And Bandmaid. and Galneryus..(all bands from Japan)

I love your enthusiasm :-) When it comes to Lovebites you really can't go wrong with song choice. Even their low points are pretty damn high. Stay away from Bloodstock 2018, as the audio is pretty bad. Other than that, live over music videos, I'd say. Audio good, video good and Asami (singer) has the audience in her hand from the first second to the last. They are the best of the 80s metal mixed with moden techniques and they got me through 2020! Been listening to metal since early 80s and this is the best new I've heard!
