Are you going to fix that contagious yawn bug that affects all nearby players whenever a character yawns? Introducing this emote in the beta patch was a bad idea in the first place.
Correct me if im wrong. It doesnt reduce the weight, but rather reduce the forces created by the backpack when moving up and down such as during running.
Your not entirely correct. It reduces the forces created by the up and down movement, which would also end up pulling you up and down during running. For instance.... You just jumped really high and landed and are trying to get up. Without the bag, it's just your weight.. with the bag, the bag has its own inertia and gravity pull forces.. so you need to use more effort. In contrast, this frame should reduce that drag, reducing energy required by you to get up.. now put this logic into place every time you bob up and down while running and you will likely feel a lot lighter. (Sort of like suspension logic in cars.. reduces stress on car frame). Technically weight is just the amount of force exerted by gravity on an object. So if reduces that force during movement, then it's essentially reducing weight.. atleast temporarily.
Bold - Spirit. We live in the present, those 300 years before us will call this the future. To say we live in the future is kind of a hard answer and changes depending on who you ask.
salvator visions I'd probably think I'm stuck in a weird VR game where they fit everything perfectly done and it looks 100% realistic but they forgot to add physics to a few backpacks.
It would be one way to make stoners work out, just so the others can go "Woah!! That's cool!" After all, if you can convince them to jump off buildings because de is high as phuq, you can convince them to do jumping jacks 😄😄😄😲😮😶😛🙋
You can now buy this item and it’ll reduce stamina cost when sprinting and give you a small speed boost, along with an inventory space increase. Although it may not be worth it since it may be an expensive equipment. I would rather buy the Nike Air Max footwear to greatly increase sprint speed and jump height.
@@reaganation6000 I don't see anything to be gained from this that couldn't be gained by learning to walk more smoothly. Plus, improving how one walks doesn't involve extra stuff to break.
That's because it probably is. Kickstarters can't show you a perfect working product in their advertisements. If they already had a completed product, it wouldn't be a Kickstarter would it? (Unless mass manufacturing was the issue). No bag would stand so perfectly still. It would have slight up and down shaking on its own because the two frames and elastic coupling themselves would vibrate under the forces and diffuse a bit to the final frame and bag. It's meant to reduce forces.. not eliminate..
akihiro kina yeah it technically only lightens the shock from raising or lowering your position vertically too fast instead of making the backpack itself lighter.
We could recapture the motion mechanism to convert into energy to recharge your phone battery 🔋 and other accessories. If the motion energy is not enough then it’s possible to convert your body heat to absorb thermal energy and better than that new flat light weight flexible solar panels as an additional backup, it would be a better combination at least for now. 10-21-18 Whoa. i never thought i had so many likes and replying comments and all you skeptics about my opinion but you skeptics can believe whatever you want but "Time" will be the real judge if a true inventor in this reads my comment for inspiration but it's not going to be me i know it may or may not happen, as long as technology advances, there are always benifits and improvements. First, the pack is moved farther from the body to make room for the rails which adds more torque on your upper body. Second, it will be heavier because of the rails. Third, I bet it costs a fortune!
The space occupied by the frame is barely more than a couple inches, and those aluminium tubes with elastics attached sure don't weight more than a large notebook. Your body don't have to waste energy and bear stress to move the backpack up and down for no reason, that makes a huge difference at the end of the day.
Darksiege you might be right and I guess if you’ll be running or doing jumping jacks with a heavy pack then it might be nice. But for the average backpacker, you are walking at a slower pace and the pack doesn’t bounce enough to make a difference.
Anyone who has ever served in the military and done forced marches can look at this for a split second and already see the massive benefits... The weight of a backpack when I was in the military 83-91 was around 65 to 95 pounds... When you got that thing rock'in, it wasn't uncommon for it to be up to twice the load force that would be coming down as you tried to go up... It was a nightmare.. For those who did Air Assault School like I did, you would've definitely appreciated this bag during the forced march testing needed to complete air Assault training.. ;)
Up until you try climbing uphill or going downhill, then this thing will be rocking your back. And anytime you try to rest, it would be still be shifting.
Hate all you want but I hate when people say things so easily.. If you were in A school shooting and someone were to make fun of it about your friends dying how would you like it?
So does this make the actual bag feel lighter in general, or only negate the extra force of it pulling on your back when it falls with you, keeping it feeling like a constant weight?
I'm really looking forward to hearing from reviewers if it lives up to the hype and is superior to current favored trailrunning backpacks (Six Moons Designs, etc.) I've always liked external frames and am considering a modern lightweight one for my next pack (Vargo or Zpacks). But having some "anti-shock" stabilization could be very nice if the weight penalty isn't too severe, and perhaps broaden what is possible with a heavier backpack.
My collar bone is messed up so I have to use packs and bags on my right side which obviously comes with it’s own problems especially considering I also have minor back problems. This is awesome
And what happens when your pack gets significantly lighter as you use up the contents like food and water? Then it's at the top of the rails smacking the stoppers right? That in addition to the need for the user to correctly load the pack slider elastic for the specific weight of their pack, tells me it will probably fail as a product. It's definitely not going in the military any time soon. The environment would probably clog that thing up in hours.
It's not the fall that kills you. It's hitting the ground. Much like how a slide hammer works for pulling metal. As long as the weight inside the pack allows a floating motion and the runner stays in an upright position, all is well. If you do a modest jump, or the weight is too light or heavy. I feel the resulting slamming of the weight at end of travel, could cause a spike in forces that may be harmful.
I assume that the bag should be preloaded for right balance, ie: your luggage in the bag must make up to a specific mass in Kgs. So.. You can't squeeze in luggage to the full capacity of the bag.
No you are absolutely right. There is absolutely a "maximum load" unless they fill it with molten lead to test it. If your bag hit the end of its rails hard wouldnt it jerk you back 10x worse than a normal backpack?
Bruh. Just have a tensioner wheel on the counterweight. Spring door hinges do it, garage doors do it, some office chair reclining resistance bits do it. Literally a matter of tightening the tension or loosening it
It is basically a pulley with elastic strings that operates by the forces created by the backpacks up and down moment while you run or walk for the the weight that you carry should be extremely heavy, its like when you hit the accelerator of car the force of car moving forwards pushes you back
