Another awesome Reaper feature I became aware of lately is the 'Silence' action where you can select tracks and automatically remove all silent parts of the track.
@@sarty23 Select your tracks. Got to Action List and type 'Silence'. Select the option 'Auto Split/Trim Item'. Thank you oh great and powerful Kenny from the future! What a time saver and useful device for getting the tracks ready to bounce at the proper levels and balance. You make the many tools Reaper has to offer so clear.Much obliged once again.
Thanks Kenny for your always comprehensive videos. It would be really interesting to see how to sample on Reaper, to see your approach in this way of making music. Thanks for your time!
aah, one of my FAVORITE and most often used features. :) i use it all the time to normalize loudness of sound effects for video games. i dont care about peak level, i care about their loudness. and SWS greatly helps with that. such a great tool. slapping dat like button for ya kenny!
Any time I need to learn something about Reaper - go ask Kenny ! So easy to follow and clear. I've learned so much from you. Do you have Buy me a Coffee ?
I follow this method and at the end I finish micro adjusting the audios with the help of youlean loudness meter plugin to double check. I add a limiter to avoid peaks and I compress a little when the dynamic range is too large. Thanks Kenny for your helpful tutorial
Thank you Kenny. As always a very informative and brilliant tutorial. I'm just wondering... You use the default theme in your videos, but in your everyday work in Reaper, do you use another theme, and if so, which one?
I think this is exactly what I needed to know, to take all my mp3 tracks that are very random in loudness and level them all out to the same volume without damaging the quality of sound. Please let me know if I'm wrong and there is a different method. I appreciate your tutorials very much!!!!
Hi Kenny, in the video there are multiple audio files already loaded. Can you provide guidance how to import the condensed or short audio files in this organized fashion? Thanks in advance
Hi, Anyone knows if there is a Quick Key to bring the Cursor to the end of a Track, NOT to the end of a project but to the end of a selected track? I've been searching hi and low for this! Thanks in advance. Cheers.
If I made a primitive playlist that was just one, long track of copy/pasted songs, and LUFTS normalized the whole track to -14, would that be different than normalizing each as an item individually?
Kenny you're awesome. I've learned a ton from you. But I'm puzzled about leveling backing tracks for a band. i can't seem to find a solid answer. hoping you can point me to a video or offer advise. Basically I have 60 songs I need to do just what you did in this video. But that doesn't seem reasonable. Dropping 60 song in one project then I've got to extract them individually someway so they line up with their click track after they're leveled. How do people do this? I need all the songs to be a consistent loudness. I'm stumped.
Hi, do you have tutorial explaining "ALBUM GAIN" method in reaper? it's like in that old MP3 GAIN software - it has that "Album Gain" feature, where it normalizes all mp3 tracks of an album based on relative loudness of each tracks
I don't know where else to ask my question. I went on Reaper forum and even though I registered and signed in, I couldn't post my question. When I hit space bar or click play, the cursor doesn't move. How do I fix this? Anybody?
@@TheSpeenort Good to know Greg if that ever happens to me. I'm a real newbie, a year in, but can't imagine using any other DAW for VO work ! :) (thanks Kenny!) Have fun!
my project in reaper sounds really quiet and sound less detailed compared to my references, yet when you play it, my headset and my monitor speakers kind of clips even if it is really not that loud. when i play my references like songs of popular artists like mudvayne, im able to crank the volume without hearing any clippping or static or cracking sound. for example, if a mudvayne song is at level 10 at volume level, it will sound loud but in a pleasant way , well detailed, punchy, no distortion or clipping. My project however, will begin to clip at level 6 volume, but isnt really that loud and detailed. if i crank it at 10, my speakers will begin to distort to the point that you will hear 90% distorted sound, 10% the song itself. each track are set to -6db and none of them are clipping. i really dont know what to say or how to describe it better but thats aboutt it
