Thank you, Stephen, for this rare and insightful interview with Mr. Jose T. Sio. Imagine if the late Henry Sy Sr., John Gokongwei Jr., or Washington SyCip could still share their stories-what a treasure that would be. Looking forward to more interviews with seldom-seen icons. Wishing you continued success!
I once a network administrator of SM Investments, been to Mr. Sio's house during pandemic to check his IT concerns, napakabait, down to earth person. Never ko naramdaman ang pagiging boss nya while we are in his house. Thank you Sir.
I never miss any of your episodes on any platform. You represent to me what a Filipino could be and aspire to be backed up with good education. Thank your sir!
Wonderful interview with not a few golden nuggets of stories. Perfect balance of business and casual discussions. This is the best local business show bar none. Congratulations again for yet another fantastic episode.
This man is what we call gold mind. Brilliance & discipline is what it means to be successful 🥰🥰this generation can no longer be duplicated. They have organic brains not fueled by high technology by knowledge of high caliber 👏
I enjoyed this interview very much. I could only imagine the young Mr. Sio in Ilo-ilo as an altar boy and had spent time in seminary. Then, questioning his spiritual director where the money was spent. Hahahaha. Who could imagine he will become one of the most remarkable CFOs.
Thank you for the interview Stevie! Very inspiring as a CPA myself. Living in Toronto Canada, I've always been interested and watching all your interviews, as my family is from the Philippines. I've always had a curiosity to the business world in the Philippines. Great job on the interview, looking forward to many more Stevie!
Mr. Sio speaks like our own lolo/lola of that generation. Very simple and down to earth. He is so important that he was even chosen by the 2nd gen at SM to lead. One thing I want to understand is what is usually the role of a holding company CEO? Is it to direct capital expendetiture? Or do funding rounds?
Thank you for this interview. Thank you for the learnings and thank you most specially to Stephen. I can imagine how fascionate you at your craft in banking. Grabe mga interview very valuable. Thank you.
We need more of these kinds of interviews.. very rare to have distinguished filipinos talking with grace and class… what we get most of the time is trash!
Hi Mr. Stephen, would like to understand more on the specifics of the floating term bond issuance of SMIC with swaps. What did you swap the floating rates for? What window were you eyeing at that time? Maybe there is a website link I can read about it?
Thank you so much for this amazing video! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
@@dormamo6917 i think you can hear the pronounciation in other ANC videos especially in market edge program where Michelle Ong interviews him. The interviewer will say the full name.
thank you again for being our guest Mr. Sio!

Delighted to learn Mr. Sio’s bio from this episode. Being an ex-seminarian myself, that kind of curiosity could really kill a cat. 😅
