Thanks, I looked at the dimensions of the original and made calculations on the new wheels. It is ok as long as the difference in rolling distance is less than 5% apart. And you are right, the speedo is not showing the same speed as before but only a slight change, I think the difference is 0,5%. I have not checked with the dealer if they can callibrate the new speed.
Hej! Har en e-golf som jag har beställt och ska komma nu till våren. Funkar det bra att köra på Madrid 17” fälgarna och är dimensionen 205/50/17 korrekt? Gott nytt år!
Great wheels! So in this case the total wheel + tire diameter is the same, right? What if you went with the GTI wheels, is there any way to set/calibrate the new rotation speed and such? I guess the VW dealer can set it? I like what this guy did too: www.fastivus.com/project-evolution/ Light weight rims is the solution it seems.
It did, first I had 225/45-17 Sport Maxx tires, but now I have 205/50-17 energy saving tires and I am back to the same as I had with the stock 16" wheels. Please watch the video I just uploaded a few minutes ago with a review of the energy consumption.

En fråga till: Påverkas ljudnivån av byte till större däck?

Does your range change???
How has this affected your consumption?
