you are a bloody legend exactly this has just happened to me in my motorhome touring in freezing conditions and I fixed it, thank you so so much keep up the good work karma is a wonderful thing :)
Hi Joe I'm from Brazil and have a Mercedes Sprinter 313 2.2L CDI , had power loss problem, went into safe mode was nothing of 3000rpm, did not know what to do, I took workshops and each gave a different diagnosis, tubina , electric whip, passed on devices and not accused failures in the ECU, was already preparing to replace the turbine which is very expensive, I watch your video through it I alerted me of a pneumatic valve piece of code (A 0005450527) Substitutes and found the defect, now the Sprinter is working perfectly passes of 3000rpm and the turbine went back to work. I've had problems with the fuel pump part code (A 6110900350) where he spent a few hours the Sprinter did not work and gave air inlet which greatly hindered the operation. The same did not have fault code in the ECU One tip that spoken is to give departure with the clutch activated to exit safe mode if the defect continues it back to activate the security mode. Thank you for sharing your video and warn of defects of the Sprinter helped me a lot
Oi Akira. Muito obrigado pelo seu comentario. Fico muito contente em ficar sabendo que este video lhe deu alguma ajuda com o problema da sua carrinha. :)
Hey joe, I have a 2004 Mercedes w203 c200k manual and when i start the car when its cold it runs good, as soon as the temperature climb upto 80 degrees the car falls into limp mode, slow acceleration and doesn’t go past 3500rpm can you please help me?
that is happening with my van (2004 208cdi) i will have a look at this at the weekend. also it is making a slight tapping noise when cold then it does it under load any ideas what it could be?
Sir you are a magician, had this exact problem and that was the solution, so thank you very much! On a side note what kind of scaner are you using, and do you think a delphy ds150e would wprk with mercedes?
Hi any idea what the vacuum part is called as mine is doing this but intermittent and goes as soon as i turn ignition off and back on but will come back again at a random point some times minutes after and some times longer or not at all. Thanks for any advice.
It won't rev over 3000rpm with the bonnet open the have a sensor on the hood to stop this, have you tryed it with the hood closed? Its a safety thing on sprinters
William Scott Thank you for your input. I will sure take that into account in the future. That may also apply to other makes. However, if you check the video at about 4 minutes and 33 seconds you will see that even though the hood is up, after the repair had been carried out, the engine does actually rev to about 4000 RPM Regards, Joe
No worries,I have to press the small mechanism under the hood when its opened or mines won't rev up over 3000,might be different in other country's did you manage to fix the issue?
+William Scott YOU SIR ARE A TOTAL STAR !!! and you didnt even know it :) I have just had this same 3000rpm issue and thought i would check online before going to a mechanic and getting a big bill! Anyway, looking at this thread i saw your comment about the bonnet sensor after coming up a blank with all the other ideas i have seen. Low and behold the bonnet sensor was loose ( only having one screw holding it in place ) , so i added another screw and tightened the other. Eh Voila all now works fine :D Awesome, thinking this could well be the same issue with others, i can't be the only one who's van thinks the bonnet is up ??? Cheers William, you just saved me loads of agro
Dr Ed this comments just cheered me up today was having a shit day until I seen it,no worries mate glad u sorted it before going to a garage they would have robbed you and probably still not fixed it 😀
Hi, I’m sorry but I do not know the answer to your question. I would suggest a Google search, or a phone call to your nearest Mercedes dealer. Best wishes, Joe
Hi, sorry for late reply. First of all, i would recommend that you cure the diesel leak. You must also scan the vehicle for any fault codes that might be recorded in the ECU's memory. Make a note of any fault codes that you may find, so you can research them should you need to. Google can be a good source of information. Erase the fault codes and re-scan again, to see which if any come back. If none come back, start the engine and see if it performs as it should. If any fault codes come back, check the circuit and sensor to which the fault code pertains to. Don't just go out and and buy a new sensor for that circuit without checking the complete circuit. Remember that due to hostile environment that circuits have to operate in, like heat and vibration, a large percentage of faults are actually due to wiring problems and not the actual sensors. Obviously, don't forget the basics, i.e, unblocked fuel and air filters and also make sure that the exhaust system is not restricted. I hope this helps you. Good luck. Joe
Easy the three screws in the rear of high pressure fuel pump get loose and eventually leak diesel. If you take off HPP and tighten the screws and return should fix the leak. If of course the leak is coming from pump.
JoeNunes345 2624-001 charge Air System offset drift under engine load. Reset adaption data B2/5. The Air Mass is too Small This is what the service give me before reseting
JoeNunes345 Hi, this code is one that i have not come across before. However, i have done a bit of searching and have come up with a couple of links with information that might be able to help you. Obviously, try the easy checks first, like, checking the air filter, induction leaks etc, as mentioned in info from those links. I hope it helps and please let us know if you find the solution. www.justanswer.com/mercedes/4jh3x-mercedes-313cdi-engine-light-comes-charge-air-system.html#re.v/174/ www.fixya.com/cars/t17615078-2633_01charge_air_system_offset_drift
JoeNunes345 All the filters are chenged, air filter, diesel filter ,oil filter conditioner filter are all new ,I changed last month,,2624-001 maybe can be P2624 that mean (P2624 Injector Control Press Regulator Circuit Low). The man which reset said that the problem is FLOW METER . I have asked lots of services and one say is EGR, one say is Turbo actuator How can u help me becouse after reset the car can go no more than 1000 miles and lose the power again. Thank you !
Ornel Fucia Unfortunately i don't think anybody can just say it's this or that, without doing the correct tests on the relevant areas. Like i said, this problem is not one that i have had to deal with in the past. However, from what i have read, certain tests and procedures have to be followed, with the correct scan tool, otherwise you will not be able to clear the code from memory and the Engine Control Unit will stay in limp mode My advice is, before you start throwing new parts at the engine, make sure the correct tests have been carried out on those parts, in order to establish that they are faulty. From what i think i understand from reading about it, even if you replace some parts, you will have to carry out the adaptations, on MAF sensor, for example and also possibly have the DPF regenerated. I suggest you re-visit those links i sent you as they explain what needs to be done When you manage to find the fix, please share it on here, so that we can all benefit. I hope this helps you.
Pat pattiboy Hi. The first thing you have to do, is scan your vehicle's ECU for fault codes, so that you can try to get some direction on which path to take. Different faults can sometimes cause the same symptoms, but the cure is different. My advice is to first have your vehicle scanned with a suitable scanner. Bear in mind, that if you are using a very cheap OBD scanner, they don't always show all the logged fault codes. You may have to pay somebody a small fee to have the vehicle scanned with the proper equipment, but it could potentially save you a lot of money and wasted time in the long run. I hope this helps. Joe
I have an 06 2.7 I5 with a similar issue, I get a code P0088, as soon as I start van, even after clearing the code, engine light on, etc, runs fine, plenty of power, until it warms up, then the boost goes away, and I cant rev above 3000 RPM's. If I pull over and shut off, then restart again, its fine for a very short while, I'm thinking a sensor or something, but not sure,, anyone can help?? I also have replaced the high pressure switch on the front of the fuel rail with a used part, not 100% that the part is good, but anyway the code is still there and no change is evident. Before I spend the $3xx for a new one, I'm in need of help!!! Thank You!
I have a 315 CDI sprinter 2.2 litter 2007, My problem is :My van lose power ,and cant go upper then 3000 rpm,on dashboard is turned on check engine light and is pulsing Afer diagnostication on XENTRY show that the problem is :(cammon rail diesel injection) what`s the problem ,I am so bored with this
Hi, thanks for your question. The code you mention is to do with some sort of failure to the ECU's / PCMs internal programming, or an internal circuit malfunction and as a vehicle owner there is little you can do to rectify this, apart from checking the obvious things, like good power + and ground - to the ECU / PCM. You may also want to contact your vehicle's main dealer to check if there are any updates to the software for your particular vehicle and find out if the ECU can be re-flashed. Please let me know how you get on. Good Luck, Joe
Hi there. I have a Mercedes sprinter 4x4 2009 long wheelbase I am stuck in low ratio gear When I press the button it flashes three times but it does not change out of low ratio gear I'm happy to pay for anybody That can tell me how to fix it Best wishes
