Complex engines can last 400,000 miles, but sun shades break constantly.

That's the truth, only work I do on the Dodge are little plastic bits that break

Most visors when they stop staying in place .just take some 1\2 wide velcro and stuff it the shaft side and have it going with the shaft and stick to the shaft.

Hot Glue would glue that fabric easy peasy...and make a nice tidy job.

My 2016 Dodge Caravan has this exact issue on both visors. Cheaply made. Now that I've seen what's on the inside, and your suggested fix, I'll try it myself. Thanks for sharing what you did!

Glad it helped, the replacement visor was over $100

Thanks, great video. I have a Dodge 1500 RAM Laramie truck. The other day I noticed the label on the sun visor was hanging down. I pulled it off and left some of the label on the visor.
What I am looking for is a new safety label for my sun visor. Any help?

@@topsaw I did call Helfman Dodge here in Houston and the parts department said I would have to buy a new sun visor for only $ 280.00. I'll live without it.

@@topsaw Yes, the dealership said the sun visor would need replacing for only $285.00. You would think a decal would be lots cheaper. Maybe an aftermarket place sells them.

All the plastic parts on my 94 are broken. Seems like dodge always has bad plastics. I will have to fix mine now. Thanks for the info..

Gotta love good old America Engineering. My new truck less then 25k miles and visor is already falling apart. WTF Mopar?

@@topsaw then why push this whole BS green future? Start creating products that last a reasonable amount of time. These same mopar A-holes created sealed LED headlights and taillights on my new 5th gen Ram. You would think the bulbs could be easily replaced, but NO, I gotta replace the whole darn tail ligh assembly $850 because the darn blinker stopped working. WTF Mopar? NO more American made cars for my family.
