sun visor or shield doesn't hold up loosed
try to fix it but it's not repairable
What if the sun visor is broken beyond repair? If your visor is completely dislocated due to broken parts or stripped screws, you can pick up a generic sun visor repair kit at most auto supply stores, but a replacement visor most likely won't match the other visor in your car.
Just was thinking about this visor thing again - its likely the loosening has to do with the plastic wearing down (the part that is in the visor component). Once the warranty runs out, what are you going to do then? It's likely going to happen again.

Thanks for sacrificing your visor. It's useful to see how the mechanism works
My pleasure 😊, I am so glad to help , thank you so much and all the best 👌 👍
A very respectful try 👌🏽
Thank you so Much and all the best 🙏❤️🙏
That was a lot of work. Thanks for making and sharing this video. Kudos to your effort to fix it. I went the easy route. Inserted 2 zip ties inside the “swivel arm” part of the visor, used a binder clip to create traction, and the visor is staying in place pretty good
Hello my friend, that's excellent idea, I couldn't find any other thing to use as clamp, but blinder clip is strong enough to clamp the Visor if so that's very good, thank you and all the best.
Like you said at least you tried. That was a good try.
Thank you 😊
I’ll do all that and almost 100% of the time end up buying a new piece 😂 Good job putting back together though 👌🏼Appreciate the effort
Thank you 😁

and all the best 👌
You're awesome, you helped me in my Ssangyong Tivoli
Many Many thanks and appreciation 😀 🙏, I am glad you found Mt video helpful, all the best 👌 👍
Thank you for the video! I was wondering if it could be repaired, now I know it can’t! 😂 Thanks!
My pleasure 🙏 ☺️ , yes it's fixed for good, thank you so much and all the best
Use 2 double screws. The kind of screw that one side is a female screw and they screw into each other. Then, drill the holes below the recieving bar. the screws should tighten around that bar enough to provide the original friction. See 'Civic sun visor fix for about $5'.
That's very nice and helpful tips and great information, I should try 😀, thank so much 😊 and all the best 👍.
How about if it’s stiff?
If it's very stiff try to spray little bit dw40 inside the movement joint, some of them hard to reach but try it could solve the problem fast solution , otherwise you need to deassemble it.
Mangled...
The purpose of the video to see if it's repairable or not, but it's clearly not repairable,
Waste of time
It's worth to try, so I and other people know if it's fixable or not.
Thank you 😊
Anymore not for other people☺️
