If you are running into issues with scratching the paint, consider using a non-metallic pry tool. This is one of the problems with the iSesamo. Metal on glass is best avoided.
This cannot easily open a shattered screen, the suction cup does not adhere well at all. Your best bet is so cover the screen with packing tape, and hope the suction cup holds. Or just use a traditional pry tool like all other phones.
Screen replacement kits from mobile sentrix come with a piece of plastic that sticks to the broken glass and helps create a smooth surface for the suction cup to grab on to.
I actually have a video or two about this machine on my channel (iPhone 12 Mini Camera Replacement) and about how it can work well, and sometimes not so well. I've had a few issues with midframe separation.
Ouch yea I seen the deflection on the back and wondered how it didn’t break. I’d imagine if it does that on the front it could possibly do that. Now how does apple expect home Users to get this done. That repair program is kinda funny pr stunt.
Excellent demonstration, thank you. How snug is the fit between device and sled? I'm considering adding a leather skin to the rear of my iPad mini 6 that's flush with the camera bump. I'd imagine it could complicate battery service in the future though. I'm assuming Apple has a sled for iPad mini 6 now that they'll repair (not replace) this device in stores. What do you think?
How does this work when the glass is shattered? Will the suction cup still get a secure hold of of the display despite the glass being broken and possibly little bits missing? Does Mobile Sentrix supply those thick clear strong adhesives which are placed atop the cracked glass to assist in these cases? Thanks in advance!
It will grip a cracked screen if u put a few pieces of packing tape on it. Because people can still have a cracked screen but need a battery replaced. Or, if the screen is cracked but OLED is good. Being able to remove the screen without damaging the OLED will also make u money if u know how to refurb screens or get enough to sell to a company that does.
It was designed for the 12 series for screen removal and is compatible with the 13 and 14 series and just so happens to be able to assist in the removal of the 14 series back glass. It wont help remove the back glass on anything other than the 14 series.
These tools only good at replacing anything on iPhone but broken screen or broken back glass, since suction cup won’t attach to broken glass. But as a preheating element over aftermarket tools is definitely above them.
Apple has only made them for the 12 Series. It just so happens that the dimensions of the 13 and 14 series are the same. The only down side is that apple changed the position of the side buttons for the 13 and 14 and also the cameras are much bigger on the 14 series making it not compatible with some of the 14 series, excluding however the 14 and 14 plus once the back has been removed. That being said its still an amazing product and takes the stress out of removing the iPhones screens that it can.
If you get one of these - pro tip. Do NOT insert the sled *before* you power it up. You'll get an E04 sled ID error (there's an RFID in the sled). Power it up and get the yellow check mark screen THEN insert the sled with the phone. It'll flip to the red heating screen like normal. And whatever you do DON'T touch the knob until the timer is done!

Can you demonstrate with a screen that is shattered? Most of these devices don’t come in new condition. Thanks

@@DouglasHeyen I think Apple prefers you replace over repair.
Do we need for every single model a Plate for its size? Or is it compatible with all of the iPhones from 12-15?
You said that you could use isopropyl as the screen was an oled, wich screens are conflictive when using iso?
LCD

it will definitely give you a higher chance of breaking any parts during disassembly using that metal pry tool, maybe try using the guitar picks

They have fixture for iPhone 15 and 15 plus please let me know guys thank you
I have a question.
If you know the weight of the heated display removal fixture and the weight of the display poket, please let me know.
This machine should only be used to do a battery swap or some other kind of repair inside the phone. It most likely won't grip a shattered screen.
yeah a friend of mine has it but they add a tempered to it...still think its useless

i love MS but this is usesless if you know what your doing, by the time 2 phones are open you can pre-heat and have already started to work on a phone
Can the machine open other iPhone models too or it’s 14 only. Looks more easy than laser machine lol..

@@MobileSentrix alright I see.. when I checked the link yesterday, I didn’t find one but I will check it again. I need 1 machine. Thanks

One mold for 12 13 14 series, or each has its own mold???

Wait, we don't need laser machines anymore to take off the back glass?
no back to iphone 4/4s design mixed with Google Pixel layout
Only for model 14/14+ and all 15s . Rest of models still need laser machine .
Getting motion sickness, keep the camera still and in focus.
Meant mild for iPhone 15
The New TBK screen separator doesn't need any of the fixtures that the apple one needs.
E01?
The links are 404 now.
the machine also includes HOT POCKETS?
I want to buy this machine....i'm from india....
you dont need this, trust me get a heating PAD and youlls be fine.
Very informative, this industry is still young and ever evolving.
evolving? or did apple just get forced to release tools under Right to repair bills
Basically $500 in equipment, damn. I'm just using a razor blade and heat plate for the 12-14 lol...
thats really all you need if you heat it up properly
