This will go down in history as the time when the San Francisco GIANTS brought that crazy Candlestick wind with them to LA. The howling wind miraculously quiet down when Longo hit that long ball then picked up again at the bottom of the 9th to keep the Dodger's long ball from leaving the ball park. It was also the nite that Crawford made THE CATCH heard around the world! And a 24 year old kid from single-A with 100 mph slider saved the GIANTS twice! That wind is also howling up in the bay area tonite!

Torture season, I love it! I watched every second and the pitching had to be perfect. The Skipper brought in the correct relievers at the right time and used them properly. Great game plan!

As a Dodger's fan, I cant even disrespect the giant's they are a great team . If they move on from this series, they are winning the whole god damn thing. This was a one run game, absolute insanity.

@@dantemoody3566 the only run you scored was an 0-2 fastball that scherzer missed his spot and left in the zone 😂😂 you had 14 k’s with three hits. It was a pitchers duel. If Crawford doesn’t catch that ball they score and runners would be at first and third with the meat of the dodgers line up coming up so I don’t think he undermined that win at all. Great series so far now we’ll see who wins tomorrow haha

What a crazy, stressful, and rollercoaster game. Scherzer was very tough for our offense and it was hard to get anything going off of him for a while. Didn't make it any easier when the umpire was kinda favoring the dodgers all night. Luckily we got the big Home Run from Longo and that proved to be enough in the end. Wood pitched a phenomenal game, going toe to toe with Scherzer for 5 innings. Kapler pushed all the right buttons from the bullpen. Crawford made one of the most insane defensive plays I've ever seen. Camilo Doval continues to make history pitching incredibly out of the bullpen. Now the hardest game to win in any given playoff series is always the last one. Hopefully tomorrow we can finish this off
Veteran presence paying off. I for one am so proud of how Posey and Crawford are playing. While other WS winning teams have decimated their rosters of their star players like the Cubs and Nationals, the Giants kept their core from their 2010-2014 championship teams. The Giants actually played against Scherzer in the WS vs Detroit! Wish Belt could join in too.
Crawford’s play seemed to be nothing new to him lol, but the circumstances of that play is what made it big.
I believe Game 5 is gonna be Logan Webb again, and we’ll be at home. If a Game 5 happens, I’m 70-80% confident we’ll be okay, but it’s always better to not play more if you don’t have to. Let’s hope we win tomorrow.

The Giants beat him despite Scherzer having his "good stuff" and piling up the strikeouts. Like Scherzer said in his post game interview, sometimes you can get beat by one pitch.
To be fair, Scherzer pitched really well. He just made one mistake: a fastball over the middle on 0-2 count. Giants pitchers didn't make that mistake and had good defense behind them.
But they just couldn't beat Julio Urias
I wish these two teams faced each other in the NLCS, a seven game series would be awesome. Go orange and black. 👍
I've been in favor of changing seeds by who remains for years. Have the best record host the worst record instead of insisting on them hosting the WC winner.

Great play by Solano to take a hit away from Pollack. It looked similar to the play Scutaro made vs the Cardinals in game 5 of the 2012 NLCS.

Scutaro. He was great for the Giants. I remember a pic of him in the rain with his arms outstretched and head up to the sky when the Giants had won the WS

Alex, Longo and Craw along with the rest of the defense did spectacular in an oddly windy night down in LA LA land but why is no one talkin about Doval? He just came up literally a month ago from AAA and already looks like a pro closer. I love what I'm seein outta this kid!

@Jorge Briln If you ever played the sport you would understand. I have fond memories of my time in Little League playing shortstop and batting .272 over all. Went to a championship game. It is an amazing sport that is American through an through. I used to dream of hitting a home run. True fans have a passion for it an that is a good distraction from the difficulties of life. Try it sometime.

And always with the lowest payroll to boot when it came to the WS. According to Spotrac the dodgers payroll for 2021 is $267,200,832 which is the highest payroll in both leagues. The Giants payroll is
$163,890,308 and we are 10th. Big teams like the dodgers and yankees, always get the best players and are always at a advantage to to other teams bc presumably they have the best players, and usually win and their fans always expect them to win (like LA. Thats why its so rewarding to see them lose), but history has proven that is not always the case, especially with the Giants. Giants are modest humble players, who have high integrity and don't need to show off and we fans all love that about them.

Watching these highlights, I can’t help but notice how biased it is for the Doyers. They even show multiple angles and different slow motions of Scherzer’s strikeouts.
The reason it’s always biased for the Dodgers is because they’re a better team.......especially when they have all their players....(which they don’t)

This was a good game. I'm an STL Cardinals fan and a big reason for their good season was good defense especially in the outfield. I see not just the Cardinals have trouble hitting Scherzer. This Dodgers versus Giants matchup is a good one.

As a Giants fan, I’ve been living behind enemy lines for decades in SoCal. Lol! I will be at Chavez Ravine for tonight’s game wearing only Giants orange and black. Just flip a B and come back to LA.

When I drove down to last night's game from Napa county, I met with my friend who lives in so.cal and he said alot has changed since what happened back in 2011 and the security have really clamped down and rowdy fans; so I, along with other opposing fans were made to feel safe. Not only did I experience that, the Dodgers fans were really gracious hosts and I want to extend my most sincere thank you to each and every one of you (Dodgers fans, of course) who made that possible. Thank you!
@@NorKal530 My carpool partner for tonight’s game is a Dodger blue kind of guy and he happens to be my brother-in-law. Dodger stadium has really stepped up its security and the ball park is nice but I prefer Candlestick or Oracle Park.

Brandon Crawford is one helluva ballplayer. I've watched him morph into a dangerous power hitter. I know he worked HARD at hitting and his defense( his greatest talent ) continues to dazzle and amaze me.

What a great game! For any young fan a little new to pro baseball this game should demonstrate why a lot of scoring isn't always necessary. A 1-0 final can include great fielding and pitching and one booming homer for all the excitement needed!
The look on Gavin's face when his potential homerun ball was "knocked down" was both painful and incredulous. These 2 teams are playing some of the best baseball that I have seen in many years! The team that wins this one truly deserves the mark of Baseballs best ever.*!*!*! Go Giants:)

One pitch was the difference. Scherzer was amazing. Wood even more so.With the funky delivery and 3/4 delivery of both...I don't know how they've lasted this long. Looks like murder on the shoulder ,and elbow.

Not a Dodgers or Giants fan, but this was a great game. Love games where pitching and defense mean so much. I'll take that any day over watching 8-10 home runs crushed. When was the last time a playoff game ended in a 1-0 score? Crazy that a 107 win team and a 106 win team are playing a shorter best of 5 and soon one of them will be done. Great matchup.

Wow.. even with that performance by Max, giants pull it out. I'm a Padres fan and I gotta admit the giants were for some reason scarier than even the dodgers to me going all the way back to the beginning of the season. It was friars and dodgers battling all over ESPN and social media early this year, but the giants were quietly sitting pretty in 1st place the whole time. They've carried it through all year as well. This team isn't just a decent team playing beyond their ceiling at all imo, they actually could win it all if they keep it up. Kinda shocking that out of that division this year the Giants are seemingly the best team, even with the enormous payrolls of LA and SD.
