This is, simply, piano-trio performance at its best; Keith Jarrett's gorgeous piano is carried along really energetically by his rhythm section, who propel his melodies into the stratosphere----listen to DeJohnette's delicious rimshots early on----and sustain his soaring flights absolutely perfectly. Hey, settle back and be carried away into jazz performance heaven!
Man, the groove that Keith and Gary set up under Jack's solo (and afterwards) is just amazing. I too, have always loved Ahmad Jamal's version, but this is just special.
I once thought master Ahmad Jamal's version of Poinciana would be unbeatable. I still love it as one of the most precious things in the history of jazz but Jarrett's? the man is a god. I just can't find anyone better than him. I am profoundly in love with Keith Jarrett's playing. he truly amazes me.
@@SuperBromberg you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. besides, I have always loved master Jamal, I have him in my heart ❤️ my three deities of jazz piano have always been Ahmad Jamal, Bill Evans and my beloved Keith Jarrett. Mr Jarrett owns my soul.
Seems appropriate that one of the few musicians in the world who could successfully reinterpret Ahmad Jamal's classic would be Keith. Just amazing. Thanks.
Thank's to Keith, Gary anf Jack

It is Excellent But DeJohnette is Rushing it and loses it on a few measures before he switches up to a different feel I do not like the sound of his Splash cymbal Keith Jarrett is Killer as is Gary Peacock Otherwise it is Smokin
If you could sit in for Jack and sound THAT GOOD, then you might have a point. But until then don't judge Jack's performance over a splash cymbal or his groove.
I am totally speechless. Simply the immortals of contemporary jazz at work.
Brilliant and exciting...감각적이고 즉흥적이지만 깊이있는 독창적인 선율과 리듬의 하모니...항상 사랑해요

Long time no hear, my friends. What a pleasure.
something magical happened right at the first chord. How is that even possible?

@@SuperBromberg Entering the realm of the masters, attributes like „better-than“ cease to exist, only pure bliss remains.
A god amongst men. Just listening the first lines of his solo demonstrate effortless master. I meant divine mastery
@@GerardBeaubrun I couldn't agree more

Jamal with Herlin Riley and Reginald Veal in France is superb.

este jarret es para mi un anomalo, loque no descarta su pericia tecnica....
ARGH, If it wasn't for Jarrett's constant Ned-Flanders-like whines...
