  • Aviation - Weight & Balance - Load Graph
This video gives instruction for using a Load Graph to calculate a weight & balance. There are two graphs. Both plot weight on the vertical axis and moment on the horizontal axis.
Use the first graph to find the moment of individual components, such as front seats, rear seats, fuel, and baggage. The second graph combines all weights and moments to see if the totals fit within an acceptable envelope.
The graphs have been constructed in Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP). This allows for the use of color and movement.

Hi! So I know this video is a little older, but I will say that your videos on charts for flying have been very helpful to me. I am taking my FAA written tomorrow, and it was nice to have these refresher videos. Thank you!

If the rear seat is 180 lbs why is the purple line up nears the 400s?

joae1975, There may be such a website. This graph is fictional and for demonstration purposes. I created it from the image on the FAA test prep book.

I always get it incorrect, how come 38g is 11in and front pax 340lb is 12.6 in? Looks to me on the graph that 38g is 11.3in? it's driving me nuts

Hi, I don't know if you answer or reply to people questions or comments here, but I will give it try, I have been confusing regard one of FAA quiz test, The question ask if the CG change and how much the change? If the pilot weight 180, and the rear passenger 204 LB moved to the front prior to landing, the total weight is 2690 LB and the total M/100 2260 just prior to the passenger moving and they post figure 10.9 found in the pilot handbook of aeronautical knowledge
