You're just dynamite all the way around! Personality, crafts and inspiration. When you mentioned your "husband and kids" I thought to myself she must've married when she was about 3! Lol. Keep up the great work!
I am a retired school librarian, so I love, love, love books. I have gotten some great old looking hard back books at the Goodwill. My home is filled with books and book décor. Love your ideas.

Love all of these ideas! Just made the stacked books for my bedside table. Used "Let's stay in bed" for the wording. Now I'm going to have to empty out a pickle jar!

I just started collecting old books to cut up and use for various projects, like making junk journals. Thanks for some more awesome ideas. I also use a lot of the pages for collages on tags and envelopes for the tags. Books are wonderful, not only for reading, but also for getting one’s mind to think outside of the box.
HI, this is my 1st.time watching your video to see what a 15 yr old would do with these books, and I was surprised to know that you're married and with kids. Just had to pay you a compliment, but I have a ton of books and I will try doing the books. I also have jars and I will try my hand on that and the planter. Looking forward to checking out more what you have to share. I did subscribe, and thanks.
Hey Katelyn! Love your channel. You are the one that got me into Dollar tree DIYs! I always love your content and your sincerity. I think people have lots of recycling these days. How about a video focusing on upcycling plastic bottles ,coffee containers, etc??? I'm sure you can come up with amazing ways to re use these items in a farmhouse style. ❤️
I love all your crafts. I wait till another one comes. I feel like a kid at Christmas...lol. I have been crafting since Valentines Day. I find it helps with stress and depression. The videos actually relax me. Thank you for all your hard work. Much appreciated. 😊💝

I love all these creations, very clever. I am going to make the cut out books and leave messages for some of the special people in my life to find years fromm now
These are so inspired! They are all adorable, but I am soooo in love with the books that have the photos on them! That goes beyond adorable to me! Thanks for sharing!
For those with issues about tearing up/destroying books: first, you wouldn't do that to a rare, valuable, or first-edition book; second, unsold books eventually are tossed and destroyed anyway.
I hate defacing any book, but if it’s a case of, having something pretty made with the book, or it rotting away in landfill, I’ll go for the pretty option!
Well, when you have beat up outdated books, you could put a current dust choice over it and it looked like a new book. I don't and never have torn up good books.
Please check the value of that old sheet music! Beautiful idea. depending on what you have you may decide to copy that music and make it look older ???
Honestly, at first I was apprehensive about crafting with books. After watching your video I am now looking forward to trying 😊. Thank you for sharing ❤️ and the inspiration!
Katelyn, You are fantastic!! what great ideas you have given us to re-purpose things around the house & keep us crafting even when the supply is low. i will definitely try these DIY's this weekend, esp the book as a picture frame. Love that one!!! Thank you for helping me continue to be creative while being stuck inside the house in Northern NJ. We are so densely populated here that we won't be free anytime soon.... :- ( .... but your videos keep me sane and give me something to enjoy for myself and to gift to others!
I am so sorry that your going to be stuck in for some time "so densely populated". I pray the cure or vaccination or miracle comes sooner than later to put Covid 19 and all its variations can be put to rest.
Tea staining the book paper before gluing it to the bucket would have made it look old and rustic... these are GREAT ideas ♥️🔥🥰 youve got a new subscriber
The pickle jar idea fantastic, really looks high end. Loved all the texture with the books. Totally going to do these. Ive ran out of rope, mod lodge, and round mirror. Have a great idea for a farmhouse mirror
The nautical rope at the Dollar Tree has gone from 13 ft, to 9.5 ft and now it's 7 ft something. Almost half the length as it was originally and it's thinner. I've tried two others types of rope hoping they'd be the same, and they aren't. I hope someone can find the same type of nautical rope at a better price and share the info. TIA
KraftsbyKatelyn , please let us know when you get the rope. I've tries sisal rope and it was stiff to work with and left fibers everywhere. Plus the color was to light for my taste. I tried another rope but it wasn't the same either.
I love your voice! I love old keys! My Grandma had some from her house that went in the doors keyholes! They are the old fashioned large skeleton keys! I wish I had them! They never locked their doors! Never a problem back then for them! How nice! 🤗❤️
I’ve got a pickle jar that I painted last week and just trying to decide what I was going to do wit it. You have given me some inspiration. All the projects are wonderful.
Yeeessss Katelyn! These old book diys are genius! I recently cleaned my storage room in my basement and found a ton of books i will for sure use some of these diys with them!! Also I have a box full of photos and wanna make some decor with them but I need your creative brain for some ideas😉 I’ve already created most of your photo holder diys lol!! Tfs luv😘
I use to hide my transistor radio in my book cutout. I took it to study hall and we could rest if we wanted to so I would lie my head on my book and listen to music and the teacher never knew.😁 This was many, many years ago.
I loved every single one of your book crafts! You are so easy to understand, and I love when you talk about previous crafting "mistakes" you made and how you'll use that piece for another project or how you make it work anyway. Please keep your videos coming.
Oh my gosh!!!! You look so young, that I was taken back when you said 'my husband & kids'!!!! Love, love, love your DIY's. Need to visit my Dollar Tree.
Wouldn't it be cute if you added copies of hand written family recipes on the little tin can? Then you could put it in your kitchen and put utensils, flowers, etc inside of it.
Just so you know, Dollar Tree has changed their nautical rope. Now it’s a soft white cotton looking rope. So, don’t miss it too much. Lol I really liked your pickle jar vase.
I did the book cutout for my boyfriend for his birthday made it a keepsake box. I thought he could put different things in. He loved it even though he is a avid book reader. I got mine from dollar tree too. He put all the smaller trinkets I have given to him he holds dear and keeps it on his bookshelf. I do wish I had seen this tutorial first. I like the idea of using the paper to cover it over then fabric I tried. Always love the crafts you come up with! Although I wish we had a better dolllar store where I am. It's small and doesn't have as much.
You are so talented and have great inspiration! I love allof your ideas. My 10 year old daughter is now watching with me. She also enjoys your videos and ideas. She has even made some from your videos and you also give her ideas.

Didn't think I was going to like these cause I'm one of those book lovers lol but! The painted books with the photos gave me a broader idea that I love (for after quarantine) As much as I love books we have a used book store nearby that I could get emotionally relevant copies at, not paint them but add a photo or collage to the front to accent the theme of why its important to my family or I.
