I struggle with my faith in the unseen. After I deconverted from Christianity a few years ago and stopped believing in the Bible, faith in anything else got a lot harder. If Yahweh isn't real and Jesus didn't rise from the dead, why should ghosts or the spirits of my ancestors exist? My mom's passing 9 years ago made me yearn to feel close to her, so I started exploring my rootwork and conjure heritage as my mom's family is full of rootworkers.
My loss of faith in Christianity and the objective nature of science make it hard for me not to see life as random and coincidental and wholly un-spiritual.
But this video really helped me. If science and spirituality are inherently opposed, I can't believe. But with this understanding, they don't have to be opposed. They reflect each other.

This is so true. I am currently working the tree of life and the Qliphoth. We are all one, we are all the same. I have an honest question. I was told that workings dealing with things like hot foot powder and such would never work if I were to make it myself because my ancestors didn't use those things. Basically stating that it wouldn't work for me unless I were to buy it (hot foot powder) from someone whom does have ancestors that recognize such. Is this true?
