Sennheiser G4 transmitter was a standard in video production you are correct, but there have been huge improvements since then, including digital multiplexing. Lectrosonics and Sound Devices’ wireless are more preferred today and will alert you! Warning however… they ain’t cheap! Having a big audio meter may be preferred, to maximize return!
One has to wonder if bad caps are purposely being integrated to boost return sales. Many LCD TVs from the mid 2000s suffered the same problem. I had the issue with my Samsung 42". I read some repair forums and watched a few UA-cam videos. I was able to source the correct replacement electrolytic caps and fixed it myself! That's the power of knowledge and a determined spirit!
I have been thinking this for a while, after the supreme court ruled they need to honor their warranty and the security stickers mean almost nothing anymore things seem to be getting a lot more difficult, this is a big battle and even the biggest professionals are trying to stay ahead of the game. definitely imo sales tactics.
We haven't seen caps failing at this rate before, something happened since 2019 where electronics have a tendency to come with useless caps where their only job is to short out after a while and kill the connection, you'll usually find them connected in parallel in 3 or 4 configuration.
There was a bad cap situation in the mid 2000s with TV sets (my Samsung included). A lot of LCD TVs got thrown out because of a couple of dollars worth of bad caps. Devious way to drum up new sales, eh? BTW - I fixed my TV; UA-cam showed me how!
thank u for the advice hussein ur always providing great knowledge mashallah, quick question: if i feel confident in my skills but only have 5-6 months experience in the field can i open up a repair shop or do i need more exp? (anyone feel free to respond thank u in advance) :)
Knowing how to or having knowledge of how to run a business helps. Treating customers with respect is very important. Knowing how to not destroy someone's device is more important and you need to be transparent with customers in what they are or will be getting.
Hello Alex Most of my customers are put off by the fact that I do not have a brick and mortar shop How important, in your eyes, is it to have a storefront. And also, why is it important? Thanks
I find it to be the opposite. While NRF has a good reputation, where I am shops (all of them) have a horrible reputation for breaking people's devices or making it worse then saying "not repairable" and then they come to someone like me. If it's really bad I don't even try and just give it back and say the other shop ruined your device. I've had one PS5 come in recently where a shop told someone the image cutting on and off on the tv was a manufacturing defect because they replaced the port and it still does the same thing. Not only did they use the wrong port entirely (because now it didn't show any video on the screen), they ripped 6 pads off the board in the process. Ridiculous.
I work from my home as well, but I get regular calls. I have a website and on google maps. Most people find me on google maps. Many people don’t care I don’t work in a store front.
How come it´s so often bad capacitors are involved when electronics go bad? Even on new PCBs? Is it poor component quality? Or is it bad design from the start?
My guess is mostly poor manufacturing of the capacitors, though they are affected by mechanical and thermal stress which can occur during pcb assembly and when a device is running. The changing conductivity measurements, as the board is cooling, are partly due to these capacitors. In this instance, the IC marked AF01 did not look well (in my opinion).
Could be both. Caps have very thin layers and static electricity could spark over destroying the separator a tiny bit. Over time the ESR increases and makes it worse. Design should use components so it'll last the devices lifetime. Poor/cheap component sources may have less favorable tolerance and more variation.
Im from Philippines i always watch your videos. I have 6 yrs old Asus ROg Strix GL503vd that not powering on, no cpu fan spinning, RGB keyboard light will changing colors only, Charging indicator led is working when plugged. But only no cpu fan spinning and no POST boot will show. What will be most likely the damage of my laptop?
Yes most companies do it on purpose and buy cheap batches of mosfets and other components because they want the device work for a certain x year, their hope will be it will work until the guarantee has passed so that you will buy another device from them.
No, capacitors fail all over the place no matter what design. Even in the best environment to run the console in, it will eventually fail. The Caps get hot and cold due to use and this can cause them to be stretched. If they stretch too much, they break and short internally.
Mr alex , u r not posting enough vidieos.pliz I want more.❤ I want vidieo s every day❤ Thank u alex, iam sharif and half way around the world in in india. My name is SHARIF❤

As always great to get mesmerized by your micro-soldering skills, and with a touch of wisdom.
Once again. Amazing job Alex!!We did it!
you did nothing lol... He fixed it by himself and idk how delusional you have to be to take credit for what somebody else did...
@@LadderOfChaoss Obviously you don't watch Alex. Or seen any of his other videos. Alex has said before "We Did It". Go watch more🙄
great vid and good to show different causes to show same fault............... thx for posting
Best than the factory 👌Good Luck
Not Better? 😁

In japan PS5 is considered a toy so the amount of metal used on the component level is poor.

Chinese components.
Stop noticing.

Good job mate 👏
1 question
To start repair business which tool is most important other than soldering iron and smd machine.
Please let me know ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻 you
I would say multimeter and toolset
the most important tool is your brain. Everything else can be purchased. your ability to learn cannot be

Better than factory 👏
Most caps now a days have limited lifespan! 😅😅😅😅😅😅

That's true btw.
Planned obsolescence
Or cheaping out on materials
Not everything can be Nintendium 🤔
By design sadly.
7:30 You should measure components to make sure that you always have correct value to replace even if no donor is available.
Hello, do u guy work on installing pico flys or mod ship on switch oleds?
What is Big Boss doing with that big pile of syringes?
My expireince with the Senheizers: sorry to say but they need Duracell in case of 9V.
When will you promote big boss to micro soldering?
Have you ever worked a ps5 that had the ce-108255-1 crash on some games? It’s hardware for sure do you know what part ?

Why do these shorts occur?

do you think this is a design flaw?
