its amazing how instrumentation of a song can entirely change it. i dont even like the other versions that much but this version is magical to me. i think its mainly the bass tone and its prevalence.
I agree 1000% I prefer this version so much more when I played it in my Gameboy back in the day I heard this ost and I thought Wow … I honestly didn’t understand the beauty of this OST until obviously I got older and I realized the effect it brings now it’s IMO the most Magical? Of all the other versions I just love it man it’s so good
My favourite GBA castlevania. This game rocks and is very underrated. The running ability you get very on in the game really adds to the game play and the dull moments quickly fade away as the first time I payed this game I was thinking no way this game is this slow.
@Zylo Wolf 2.0 I remember playing Bloodlines some years after playing Circle of the Moon and being shocked to hear my favourite track again in a different version. It's a great song but I like the Circle version a bit more. Legacy is also great, love the more slow and atmospheric aproach to the OST.
Out of all the “cursed protagonist” games, Curse of the Moon is definitely the one needing the most remastering/remaking Harmony of Dissonance requires less bright sprites, upscaled sprites, some tweaking of Juste animation and a little bit of fine tuning, Aria of Sorrow… the Dawn of Sorrow exist but this one…. Oh boy, level design, graphics, more fine tuning in the gameplay and an extra character mode
@@hirotrum6810 Chapel of Dissonance was great - the rest I don't remember much. But it was also hampered by Konami deciding to allocate so little space to the music, so it's really lofi even for GBA.
But the composition in this one makes it unique. This is one of the first reasons I picked up a bass guitar. This version adds a certain sense of energy, wonder, and despair. But more than that, it sets the tone for the entirety of the levelset the song is included in. Seldom has a redux become its own like this has.
Not so much everywhere as much as its area being the connecting hub to the rest of the place with the only two safe Save Point to Warp Point connections.
I got this as part of a bundle of five games I got just for Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge. This game was the only one I got really into, and is the only reason I played Castlevania in the first place.
theme of passing by several electric skeletons on your way from the save point to the warp point because this area has the shortest save-to-warp trek in the game
Still remember this song and the scenery. Finally find a way outside the castle and as you climb higher the moon shines bright and this music just melodically set the scene so right. This game is def underrated
Only main complaint I have with this game are the drop rates of gear and consumable healing items need to be swapped especially since no shop system exists in this game. With too many duplicates of equipment and very little healing consumables it adds an extra level of artificial difficulty simply due to RNG. Otherwise, not a bad game at all. In fact, I'm quite enjoying my maiden voyage via the Advance Collection. :)
You got to equip luck gear. That's what luck is for. If you beat the game once, it gives you a code to play as another class. There is 5 of them if I recall and one of them is thief. Thief is weak but has max luck so every item and cards drop practically instantly.
my firts castlevania was symphony of the night, but my favorite Castlevania its Circle of the moon play this game in my coauch and bed and anywhere and the nostallgia
I remember this music from the GBA game Castlevania Circle of the Moon. It's pretty amazing. I'm sure Konami has some amazing music in video games. Anyway I used to play it on Nintendo Game Boy Advance when I was a preteen. It's a good game but unfortunately I never beat it. I actually rented it from Chartbusters about few times in 2002. Sadly Chartbusters across Ireland don't exist anymore and they have gone liquidated since 2010 I think. I know it's a shame, isn't it? Now I have it on Nintendo Switch as Castlevania Advance Collection by the way.
The opening theme of this game is jacked from Castlevania 64, and doesn't even have the sweet violin version of Bloodlines that plays immediately after.

At first I didn't like it because of the cheap midi sound, but since I've run through the locations with this tune a lot it kinda grew on me haha
This is def the best version, the bass tone really sets the whole tone
Indeed.
honestly i think Legacy of Darkness version is just as great.
This game turns 20-years-old next year. Damn 0_0
Soma Cruz memories of playing it on my old game boy advance that was missing its battery cover... I miss those times :(

it is officially 20 years old now !!!!
@RATTLE ME SPOONS ^__^
CASTLEVANIA GBA COLLECTION IS HERE!!!!
Considering how limited this game was due the console that was meant, this OST is easily one of the best of the ALL GBA saga. Top 10 at least.
The only song that had " listened 999999999 times" on iTunes for me.
Such a great piece of art.

It's from Bloodlines tho. Awaken is original to CoTM

wambhcumel
a symphonic masterpiece
Some parts will remind you of a place you first entered for the first time in castlevania and your mind can't change it
Yes! This hits me with a nostalgia so hard of the area you first hear it in
The nostalgia is real, even after 2 decades
This track was originally used in the second stage (Greece) of Castlevania: Bloodlines.
What a banger! It's been in my head all week.
This was the first Castlevania game I owned, and this music takes me back to being a kid every time 💙
Just this theme alone makes the game worth it, it's SO GOOD!
Damn the GBA could produce some good bass.
CotM's Finale Tocatta equivalent; the song that plays almost EVERYWHERE in the Castle.
Least its a really good track
Not so much everywhere as much as its area being the connecting hub to the rest of the place with the only two safe Save Point to Warp Point connections.

one of the bests themes
First GBA Game I Played
Oh my good. Its mágic and relaxing this theme. castlevania relaxing song
too much nostalgia in this song for me ❤
We need this to be remastered!!!
Well it's remastered kinda recently, as well as a few extra titles like Aria of sorrow & Harmony of dissonance & Vampire's Kiss/Dracula X.
@@azurecorviknight4189 I don't think so. If anything, the advanced collection feel like ports rather than remasters

On the second playthrough you can heal with a unicorn + Mercury holy whip card combo. :)
Bass os just beautiful here
The name makes me want to listen to this the next time I'm going through Shulva in Dark Souls 2.
I haven't played this game yet so it isn't influenced by nostalgia for me, and I still love it.
easily is the best soundtrack in the game
