    I hunt hogs, that was not hog tracks, look more like big cat tracks, do they have mountain lions in that area? If not could be dog, but would a dog be lose running in that area?

      Yeah I spliced some other audio around in the video but we determined those were indeed mountain lion tracks. We heard him earlier that night screaming.

    Excellent video of capturing the Buffalo River! Water is beautiful. What camera did you use? The quality is outstanding.
    Great job!

      Norfork has a micro brewery too. We have some fine craft beers and beautiful rivers in Ark. Some folks got everything.

    hello from the Ozarks!! how long are clabber creek shoals and any large boulders to dodge? is there someone to transit you back to your vehichels? have you floated the upper yet?

      Hi there. Clabber isn’t too long, just a series of waves which can stack pretty high. The only rocks are some flat escarpments on river right which you can sort of see in the video. We were paddling at a little higher than average flows. We had a friend take our car from the put in to Norfork and no, haven’t had the chance to go back to the upper yet!

    Looks amazing! What was the water level at for this float?

    • @graysonridge4080
      @graysonridge4080  5 років тому

      The St. Joe gauge was around 6 feet at this time. We averaged about 4 miles an hour

      @@graysonridge4080 Thanks. We are trying to go soon (maybe this weekend) and do the lower and looks like water could be down to mid/upper 5s so just trying to get a visual on that amount. Thanks

      Jared Barker should be smooth sailing at that level. Clabber creek is the only main obstacle and below it is all calm pools linked by long bends. Lots of wildlife. Have fun!
