Pacific Peak - East Ridge
Solo climb of Pacific Peak (13,957ft) via the class 3 east ridge. Mixed in a few class 4 moves for good measure. Overall amazing route on a beautiful peak which I practically had all to myself. Descent via McCullough gulch. Car to car in 9 hours.

Culebra Peak Ski March 2020

March 22nd, 2020 attempt of Colorado's southernmost 14er. To access this mountain you must reserve a climb day with the very kind private land operators at Cielo Vista Ranch. Though there is a stiff access fee associated with it, we greatly appreciated the unique and remote aspects of the entire experience. We came across countless wildlife tracks in the snow, including hare, fox, deer, bobcat,...

Kayaking the Lower Buffalo River in Winter
Переглядів 4,9 тис.5 років тому
In late February 2019 we paddled the Lower Buffalo National River from Grinder's Ferry, past the confluence of the White River to Norfork AR. This 71 mile trip was done in two and a half days. We didn't see another soul until the takeout, just miles and miles of wilderness and cold blue water. While the Buffalo River is a tame and popular waterway for adventurers of all skill levels, paddlers s...
Rainier Trip 2017
Переглядів 5216 років тому
On June 26, 2017, Heath and I left Dallas with an Xterra full of gear and a pension for heights. The main objective was a climb of Mt. Rainier (14,411ft) via the Disappointment Cleaver route but were open to as many detours as we could fit into the vacation time. We stopped first for a few days of sport climbing in the Shelf Road area of Canon City, CO. We made it to the base of Rainier on July...

Winter Milky Way Timelapse Over Colorado

Witness the Milky Way over the Colorado Rockies in the dead of winter. In March of 2015 my dad and I hauled 70lbs each of camping gear and camera equipment into the snowy wilderness of central Colorado. Our goal was to photograph the spectacular winter landscapes and capture the milky way over some of the most iconic mountains in the world. This was our first venture into nightlapse photography...
TEAM Ascend 2014

I had the privilege of working on staff with TEAM Ascend this summer, and managed to capture just pieces of the experience. It is hard to include all that goes on in a week with TEAM Ascend; from hiking to cooking, or ministry to pooping in the woods, each trip is full of adventure. Every week we witnessed God moving in the heart of each camper. It is truly a unique and powerful experience to c...

Mount Massive Hike and Camp July 2013
I hunt hogs, that was not hog tracks, look more like big cat tracks, do they have mountain lions in that area? If not could be dog, but would a dog be lose running in that area?
Yeah I spliced some other audio around in the video but we determined those were indeed mountain lion tracks. We heard him earlier that night screaming.
what brand are those high back chairs?
Great video.. loved the edit and music.. cheers
Thank you!
Nice flight man!
Thank you! I saw your Mini 2 demo, that thing is impressive. I might have to look into getting that at some point.
Dude you seriously have such quality content. Your music, transitions and shots are so perfect. What an adventure, bro..
I'm afraid of heights...I'm afraid of your video. LOL. This was amazing!
Ozark's Hard Work Brew. When you take out stop in Big Flat for some Gravity Brew Works
Norfork has a micro brewery too. We have some fine craft beers and beautiful rivers in Ark. Some folks got everything.
Beautiful video. Nothing better than exploring the great outdoors!
Montana looks incredible! I hope to make it there soon. Subscribed.
Thanks friend! It’s a special place, lots to see and very few people. I have only started to scratch the surface there.
So many great adventures, so much natural beauty, so carefully produced and presented. An inspirational gift. Thank you.
I don’t think I’ve fully processed 2020 yet, but watching this made me realize there are more things to appreciate than I’d realized. Gorgeous film.
I really love this, man.. great job. Great track, narration, progression, etc. You have serious talent
Great video. Thanks
Nice trip, which drone are you using?
I’m using the DJI Mavic Air 1
Nice trip, I hope one day I will get on this river too.
This video is insane!
Jeff Hauptschein thanks a bunch dude! I need to get back into the time lapse stuff
Thanks for posting this awesome video. Planning our trip on the lower and this is inspiring.
Thank you! Hope you have an amazing trip!
This looks horrid. I still have to do Culebra. Cool video though! I am trying to get better at filming on 14ers. Just did a pretty good ice climbing one this last week.
Thanks man!
Cool video, I did this over 2 days as well. A one day push would have been brutal, haha.
This is such a quality production, man. I’m really in awe at your footage. You took the situation by the horns and came out with a very enjoyable time with amazing footage nonetheless. WHAT an adventure!!
Nice place for hiking, Thanks for sharing
hello from the Ozarks!! how long are clabber creek shoals and any large boulders to dodge? is there someone to transit you back to your vehichels? have you floated the upper yet?
Hi there. Clabber isn’t too long, just a series of waves which can stack pretty high. The only rocks are some flat escarpments on river right which you can sort of see in the video. We were paddling at a little higher than average flows. We had a friend take our car from the put in to Norfork and no, haven’t had the chance to go back to the upper yet!
@@graysonridge4080 thanks for your quick reply! hope to see ya on the river sometime!
2019 really a vibe. That was so much fun to watch man. Major props to your successful year and what’s to come.
Excellent video of capturing the Buffalo River! Water is beautiful. What camera did you use? The quality is outstanding. Great job!
Bigloaded thank you for the kind complement! All footage is from iPhone 10 or GoPro hero 3.
How is the backpacking in this area around Oct 1st ? Any info helps thanks
B ross can’t speak of any personal experience for that time of year. Maybe someone can jump in. You might look up hunting season regulations though for the area and make sure you wear bright colors in case of hunters. Not sure if there will be hunting or not
Great video guys Im flying to New Mexico next week to hopefully summit truchas peak thanks for the video
It appears you camped along the trail as opposed to near the trailhead. Were you at about the treeline?
Aaron Joley we camped at some sites near the junction of the Massive east slopes trail and the Colorado Trail. I can’t recall how close the treeline was but I believe those sites are around 10.5k
Looks amazing! What was the water level at for this float?
The St. Joe gauge was around 6 feet at this time. We averaged about 4 miles an hour
@@graysonridge4080 Thanks. We are trying to go soon (maybe this weekend) and do the lower and looks like water could be down to mid/upper 5s so just trying to get a visual on that amount. Thanks
Jared Barker should be smooth sailing at that level. Clabber creek is the only main obstacle and below it is all calm pools linked by long bends. Lots of wildlife. Have fun!
Good video
Beautiful, guys. Hoping to do it this spring!
I know this is an old video but what route is this one? How long is it? 15 miles? At what time you started the trail? I’ll be attempting this at the beginning of September. Thanks in advance!
I'm crying ... because I remember ... happy tears ...
Where would u recommend setting up camp b4 tackling this?
Dylan Rivera if I remember correctly there are quite a few spots off the trail where the Mt Massive main trail splits from the continental divide trail. That’s where we camped. I believe it’s a mile or two hike in from the trailhead. I’m sure there are spots at the TH as well.
I have always wanted to hike Pecos and plan to backpack there this summer with my dog unless I can find someone to join us. I figure it is 7 hours to the trailhead from Benson, AZ. I have backpacked many wilderness areas in the western half of America and have climbed numerous peaks.
Found a nice place to stay , check it out: www.truchaspeaksplace.com/
to visit Outlast
Grayson this rawks. Good job.
What time of year was this?
mdcarillo We climbed 4th of July weekend last year. Snow was really firm even into the late morning.
Nice look a little cold. I heard that the was a fire in that area last year did you see any burn area?
Yes, much of trail 251 was through the burn area. I've never hiked through an ashen forest before... very eerie. We skirted 251 up to Pecos Baldy Lake due to the snow and recent blow downs, and instead bushwacked up Jack's Creek. Not too bad of an alternative. I'm sure the forest service has cleared the trail by now
When was this trip taken?
Cassandra, just two weeks ago. May 18-22
Awesome, I'm planning this little trip for the end of June... I can't wait.
Cassandra Vigil End of June will be spectacular. You will have a great time!
good job guys....awesome to see a father and son spending time together and obviously enjoying each others company! and yep, elbert is looong hike
Sic 'em!!!!
Cool. Looks great!
