Stilt fisherman...its a very old tradition of fishing in SL..The concept of this fishing method is sharing fish harvest amongst whole villagers...otherwise they can cast a fishing net and catch fish in big quantity...what a lovely thinking of ancient people
400lkr is around 1 dollar. Compared to the fuel price of sri lanka it's very fair. Also 1leter fuel goes close to 400. They have to spend for the tyres, spare parts and other costs aswel. They need to have some profit for them too. Normally in sri lanka, some costs feel high for the locals. But It's cheaper for the foreigners.

bruh just don't eat anything that they sell on the train .idk if its just for me or not but whole these 17 ive been living my mom or dad nvr let me eat anything they say wait for the next station nd theyll get me what i want .things they sell ain't clean. im too lazy to watch the whole thing only saw a train pulling up -_- anyways enjoy...

For 3km Rs500 is a fair price considering you're in a tourist spot. We pay the same in areas like Kandy. But in Colombo it should be around 400
Just book online ticket for first class 2 days before its very easy and straightforward

I work in Polonnaruwa and I pay Rs.250 for a 1.2Km. And it is a normal price to have Rs.500 for 2.5Km.
