Okay, I have watched your channel for some time; your parents' visit to Bangkok remains my favorite, but this one is definitely a close second. YOU and your friends are absolutely lovely to watch, especially with the ladies at the Tea Shop/Store. You have the greatest interactions with locals that I have seen on any channel. Fantastic!
Haha enjoyed the vlog.. Girls at the factory was super friendly right ? Hope you enjoyed your time there.. try SL fruits ..23:00.. Ceylon is the old ( Colonial name of SL. Pronounce as sealoan/ Siloan )
2:15 Lol there's a town in Australia called Badagini because the lunch food delivery to the Sri Lankan workers that were building the train lines in Australia was slow 😂😂😂😂
I think due to the large numbers of Chinese tourists and also new Chinese immigrants and economic connections with China and its businesses, a lot of people in other Asian countries like Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia who work in the hospitality industry as well as other industries that deal with customers, know how to speak Chinese now. It's sort of like how English became a common working language decades ago but now due to China's close connections with other Asian countries, people are learning how to speak Chinese. In 10 years, I think Chinese may become another major working language in Asia just like English. In my opinion, I think it's good as it'll make communication easier.
Wouldn't be a bad thing, but unlikely. 30 years ago a lot of people started learning Japanese. Now it is Chinese. Might be Hindi in the future. But these trends don't last, as English is easy to learn and already well established.
@@Ajith-c2h Japan never had the same amount of influence in Asia that China has today, so I don't think it can be compared. Maybe you're right and it may never happen but China is the largest trading partner for almost the whole of Asia and since the 2000s, there has been a wave of new Chinese immigrants that have settled across Asia like in Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia. In all of the major cities in the countries I mentioned above, you will find new Chinese immigrants who have settled and opened up shops, who are sending their kids to international or local schools. Their influence is clearly evident in the large cities of these countries. There are new "Chinatowns" and Chinese-centric neighbourhoods emerging in the capital cities of all these countries like in Bangkok and Colombo. There was never a wave of Japanese immigrants to other parts of Asia 30 years ago or a Japanese tourism boom that led to people having to learn Japanese as a working language. So I don't think they can be compared. As for Hindi, it will never experience the same thing Chinese is experiencing today. That's because Indians speak in English due to their diversity and not all Indians speak Hindi either. Their AI-driven Bhashini initiative will also change a lot of things for them and how they communicate.
Don’t know what happened with the guy you used to travel with but liked your chemistry. Hopefully nobody did anything unkind. Hopefully just didn’t work out. Thanks for the video on Sri Lanka

Sri lanka boys not like that🤧😂
I am Sri Lankan, don't go to the jewelry stores that tuk tuk drivers take you! They are scams
Not everyone is scammers. But sometimes the stranger tuktuk drivers on the street are so. So always get reccomendations from the host.
Gemstone purchase is a racket.
