I am a Federer fan and I can't deny I wanted Novak to win because to me Rafa's GS stats are flawed. Nadal: 1-13-2-4 Novak: 9-1-5-3 Federer: 6-1-8-5 Nadal can basically at least win one GS every year Roger and Novak have a more balanced score. (Especially Since 2011) Novak at his best almost always beats Nadal and Federer (after finally addressing his weak backhand in 2017) and overcoming his fear of Nadal beat him everywhere besides on clay. Novak has the overall upper hand. To me Federer is the greatest because of the way he plays and his natural talent but I can't argue with people saying Novak is the greatest. I respect all 3 enormously but to me Nadal will never be the greatest. One of the greats for sure but not the best ever.

Already one of the greatest matches in history. We witnessed something huge today as Novak accomplished the most difficult task in tennis - defeat Nadal at FO.
I've read comments about Nadal injured that's why he lost. I'd say, I love how Rafa stayed focused and won forehand winners more than Djoko, that's a big evidence he wasn't injured at all. Sometimes, we need to be realistic and present truly what happens. Nadal played very well, in fact there was a big exchange of attacks and defense from both side. It was lovely to watch and I wouldn't degrade Nadal's performance by saying he's injured for a simple fact that we want to put down Djokovic. That's not how these professional athletes act. In fact, both were complimenting each other during their post match interviews and that should show us how we respect them both. If we truly are fans, we hold them high and present their values as well. Big RESPECT to both who gave us pure class entertainment last night. Wow!
Simply the best. The quality on display was unlike anything I’ve seen before and I’ve watched tennis for 30 years. Where’s Djokos haters now?! That’s shut them right up! 19 incoming champ 💪🏻❤️
As a nadal fan, this loss is a huge blow to Nadal and will hurt his confidence big time. The only good part for me in this match is that there was a huge number of highlight reel points in this match. Djokovic peppered nadal's backhand through out the match and played rock solid. Good luck to Novak for the final.
if you watched the Rome match you could see that Djoker was very very close. And also today it was as close as Rome and Djoker was a little bit stronger. I think Rafa was a bit too tired in the 4th set and missed some easy shots.
@@Alexander-dt2eq Yes, Rome final was a close match too but Novak has won Rome against Nadal and still went on to lose in RG. So, the previous results really don't matter when these guys play. Djokovic tactically and gamewise beat Nadal today. Nadal served double faults at the most inopportune moments and that forehand volley miss in the tie break was a shocker. Novak's serve as well his service returns in the big points was immense. As a Rafa fan, this and the Wimbledon 2018 SF loss will stay with me forever.
It was one of the best tennis matches ever, so huge congrats to both of them. Noone will ever come even close to what nole, roger and rafa have achieved!

Tactics of Djoker was great.. he tried all his shots in the 1st set and did not make them, but then.. late in the 1st set he found the precision and continued on that level throughout the match. It takes a lot of mental power to continue hitting the lines while missing them during a whole set. Huge tactics!
He doesn’t have to be the GOAT… I believe his accomplishments at the end of his career will speak to his place in tennis history. 25 is exactly the number I had in mind! I was laughing uproariously at people who were hyping the “next gen” in 2017 haha! I said that Fed, Rafa, and Novak would dominate the majors through 2020 at a minimum, and that’s exactly what happened!
@@shivamg8822 It's not unthinkable given how mentally weak the "next gen" is. There is really no one in his way now. He owns Rafa at 3 of the majors, and now he knows he can beat him at the French, Federer is done, Wawrinka is done. What's in his way? Only himself.
The most important about this men is that he must escape New Age... It's the most important about them. Even Nadal said before he is an atheist... All this is not important, all this is rubbish compared to God.

He played lights out tennis in that last set from 0-2 and one the next 6 games in a row. To then win the match. Against rafa, that is unheard of. He just blew rafa off his own court in that last set. Rafa never knew what bludgeoned him. He was totally stunned, dominated and subdued. Of the three of them. I've always loved Novak more....he's just so honest and real. Rafa and Roger always play to people and the press. Saying the right things all the time for fear of offending or upsetting people. Novak just says it as it is. Big respect for both of them, even though im from Serbia love them both almost equally, absolute freaks of nature, great people ROLE MODELS which is the most important thing!!!
Let's not losing focus, eyes on the prize, celebrate tonight and make history on Sunday!!!
I have an fact which sounds scary... Whenever rafa is beaten in RG ie. Only 3 times that opponent ie. Soderling and nole never won the RG title and lose to single backhand player (roger, stan) ... Even now stef hve also a same style. What do you think?

Novak is always gracious. Great match!
Nole is by far the most humble of the big 3, roger and rafa would NEVER say "it's a pleasure to share the court with Novak"
Cuz they are seniors to him?
@@gotimlol5318 they are his sons. He took them all records
I am a big Novak’s fan but please let’s give Nadal respect that he deserves. They are both great champions and ambassador’s of the game and Rafael was always respectful in defeat. I never heard him diminish somebody’s efforts when defeated and that speaks volumes about his personality and professional demeanour. Truly match to remember but by far the best tennis match I ever watch was their battle in the final of 2012 Australian Open where again Novak was victorious. Believe it or not despite the fact that I am Novak’s fan both matches could go either way and I would still feel the same.GREAT MATCH !!! Nole congratulations and thank you, Rafa and Roger for giving us fans great entertainment over the last two decades. There are more players that deserves to be mentioned here including the up coming generation with players like Thiem, Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Zverev... STORM IS BREWING
Man Djoker is the 🐐 of this generation, there's no question about that and Rafa is his biggest rival(his own words)
Both of these two are my favorite players, but still, I can't believe that Nole finally won! So so so thrilled about his win!!! So so so happy!!!
Pure tennis greatness! One of the best matches I’ve ever witnessed and I’m in cloud nine cause I’m a Novak fan!
I loved your comment! I'm also a Novak fan. Greetings from Peru
Thinking about Novak finally gets all four Slams in a *same* year

Every slam x2 soon! GOAT
Yo
How is this match a semi-final!? Unbelievable match.
Yeah that happened before in 2015. They met in the quarterfinals and Djokovic beat him but eventually lost to Stan Wawrinka in the final.
He did finally and tell you what that drop shot and a loopy lob at 5-5 (40-40) in 3rd set for me was just insaaaaaane,I mean that 23 shot rally in 3rd set was the defining moment of match for me and that just signalled why tonight was the night for Novak.
Congrats and best wishes for final.
It will be tough but good luck
Bruh he can legit win all 4 GS this year. This was his only roadblock

What a dramatic match...brilliant, just brilliant by two GOAT's. Novak is the best of the best!

Roger fans right now: THANK GOD the big 20 is safe lololol what an incredible match from 2 absolute giants of the sport. The level in the final 3 sets were just extraterrestrial
But Djokovic will equal Roger's and Rafa's record at Wimbledon
Recodrs are meant to be broken, Man. And that was onde said by Roger himself. Honestly, I hope for it - and that being a huger Roger fan. But honestly, I really wanted to see someone new winning a grand slam... I just whish it is not Tsitsipas.
@@SnookerIsRonnie no way I would bet fed winning 21 than worst server Rafa, his serve is worse than 40+ players doubles serve right now
@@BMPagano why not Tsitsipas? He's a nice guy, and a top 5 young talent. i mean the 3 goats will all be retired inside the next 5 years, but i dont want new guys winning because the old guys retired, i want the baton passed, the way it's always been. McEnroe to Becker to Sampras to Federer
I am a Federer fan and I can't deny I wanted Novak to win because to me Rafa's GS stats are flawed.
Nadal: 1-13-2-4
Novak: 9-1-5-3
Federer: 6-1-8-5
Nadal can basically at least win one GS every year Roger and Novak have a more balanced score.
He is physically as well as mentally fit. He plat match with mindset.
Congratulations.... Novak....best of luck for..19 GS
If you dont know why Djokovic is Nadal biggest nemesis, now you know.

Choked up 55 unforced errors.
@@ucfkid67 last year nole had 50+ UFE and i heard nowhere of it to diminish Nadal's win, as it should have been, because last year was all about the ridiculous level Nadal produced. So why is it that when Nole wins, we are saying things like: Rafa wasn't in form; or speak about the conditions; or too many ufe; or anything other than the astounding level of tennis Djokovic produced. Just goes to show you how 2 faced people are, just give credit where is due, all those ufe were because of the guy on the other side just like RG 2020
No.1 of all the times, thanks Nole for all what you are doing in the last dekade, you are put under your feet RF, in his total capasity, he has no competition in his time, Rafa is the king of the send-no more, result are talking, no.1 off all the times.... 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
Already one of the greatest matches in history. We witnessed something huge today as Novak accomplished the most difficult task in tennis - defeat Nadal at FO.
Rodjace, osvajamo GS u nedelju hehe :)
Yup no excuses this time. Nadal truly got beat
NOLE NAJBOLJI SI SVIH VREMENA... IDEMOOO
Wow!
Novak..you are just too good for Nadal...too good for everyone
Let this be the Serbian season, the basketball dude won the MVP n Djok will win the RG no Djok he will
Yessss impressive indeed
Djokovic el mejor! Bravo Nole!!
I'll take the Greek.
Kind of the same for the greeks in 2019 : Tsitsipas won London Masters and Giannis Antetokounmpou won the MVP !
His name is Nikola Jokic, put some respect on his name
Simply the best. The quality on display was unlike anything I’ve seen before and I’ve watched tennis for 30 years. Where’s Djokos haters now?! That’s shut them right up! 19 incoming champ 💪🏻❤️
Roland Garros and Wimbledon: means 20 Grand Slams.
Then he'll be considered the goat!!! No more questions !!!
Fenomenálne (this is in Slovak). The best envoy of the small and hard injured nation. Nech žijú Srbi !!!
Thank you🤗💖
if you watched the Rome match you could see that Djoker was very very close.
@@miabartini6056 no i have seen better matches, but this was one very very good.
He is such an evolved human being, that his strength will always be self determined, and not at the whims of public opinion! Truly a remarkable match Nole- the sky is the limit… 🙏🏻👏🏻

To stand against Rafa on his court and defeat him twice is no mean feat!!This guy will win 25 Grand Slams Mark my words!!The GOAT since he has the better of Rafa and Roger!!I believe he will win all 4 Grand slams this year!!
25 is exactly the number I had in mind! I was laughing uproariously at people who were hyping the “next gen” in 2017 haha! I said that Fed, Rafa, and Novak would dominate the majors through 2020 at a minimum, and that’s exactly what happened!
I think it will be between 27-29..
@@shivamg8822 It's not unthinkable given how mentally weak the "next gen" is. There is really no one in his way now. He owns Rafa at 3 of the majors, and now he knows he can beat him at the French, Federer is done, Wawrinka is done. What's in his way? Only himself.
@@Mark-kq6ch True..

The most important about this men is that he must escape New Age... It's the most important about them. Even Nadal said before he is an atheist... All this is not important, all this is rubbish compared to God.

I don't think so, by the way this a night session. This djocovid has always been lucky , Hitting lines ( are you kidding ).
And at the end Nadal was clearly injured.
Lets see djocovid in morning session next year with rafa.
@@minkoflynch504 well then I bet every French Open match should be played only during day time to match Rafa’s convenience. It’s so funny how every time Novak defeats his rival (Nadal/Federer) either is opponent is injured or Novak played unfairly. Tennis is all bout adjusting to different circumstances,I don’t think Rafa was injured. He even said in the press conference that it was more of a fatigue. Look at the points they played it was insane. For once pls give the credit where credit’s due. The man deserved that win. Even if you don’t agree with the GOAT title, you do not have to disgrace him calling DJOCOVID. He is one of the greatest players in the history.
Also they played at the day session in 2015, but you’ll say that Rafa wasn’t at his best. Well I would also agree that Rafa wasn’t at his best in 2015 but you can’t take away those two wins on clay in RG against Rafa bc Novak is the only player to beat him twice here which is the most difficult thing to do in the RG,Nadal never lost when he reached semis here. And why the GOAT title for Novak? Bc he beat Nadal here but Nadal has not beat him in Australian open(Novak’s ground) :)

For me..Roger is my 'favourite player'. The numbers these 3 put up are unreal and all have a claim for best ever..and who ends up with the most majors is a big thing but not the most important for me. BUT....to beat Rafa..at Roland Garros is one of the single most difficult accomplishments in all of sports in my opinion. @@_Nikhil_Bagde_ stop being a cry baby....Fed has earned it.....but today I must say Novak is the most complete player as he defeated Roger on Grass and Rafa on clay multiple times....I am waiting for Wimbledon now!
Yes he's got a prickly personality sometimes, but that just makes him more likable. I relate to him more than the other two. He's definately my favourite. This could be the year when he does two incredible things, firstly wins all the slams and secondly moves to the top of the most slams won list. Let's not celebrate just yet.
