When I look back at how the tennis world (spectators, players, coaches, commentators, administrators) have persecuted, criticised, insulted, ridiculed and disrespected the man called Novak Djokovic ever since he came onto the tour, I cant help but think of how Christ went through the exact same exclusion/torment/torture & hatred......but in the end the masses will have no choice but to acknowledge true genius/greatness/reverence because those who wield TRUTH/JUSTICE/VIRTUE/COMPASSION/LOVE will always triumph over all else through their delivery, deeds & achievements....and NOVAK epitomises all of these...hate him or love him...HE IS THE GREATEST WE HAVE EVER WITNESSED IN THE TENNIS WORLD ..and it seems the masses are already repenting.....If they are not, we are praying for them...its never too late to change...Amen !

All players from different countries have gone through their own personal tragedies in life. Novak is not special in that regard. So is Roger and Rafa. As soon as the rest of the ATP field realize that I hope the playing field will equalize for future grand slams.

But Novak has two other younger brothers and they were not treated nearly as preferred as Novak. For all the Serbian athletes exist today (incuding Novak's brothers), shouldn't we admire all of them like Novak? I remember their was a story where when the family ate steak for dinner the biggest pieces were always given to Novak. Novak's Dad was a professional skier and opened a restaurant and sports equipment business in the Serbian mountains. So even if Serbia wasn't the richest country back in the late 90's, Novak was raised in a privileged family relative to the rest of the Serbian population. Another thing is that despite Novak's unfortunate upbringing the Kosovo Wars lasted from February 1998 to June 1999 and the bombings lasted from March 24, 1999 to June 10, 1999. This was 20 years ago but Serbia is still standing strong and flourishing today. There are so many other countries right now like Belarus, Palestine, Yemen, Turkey, Afganistan, Mexico, and Hong Kong that are suffering civil wars now. What about tennis players from those countries. Shouldn't we feel pity for them too? All tennis players have gone through tragedy/difficulty. Rafa had a strict upbringing in his middle-class family growing up through his uncle Toni and his parents divorced in 2009. Rafa has a growth-related defect called Kohler's feet and has suffered numerous foot and knee injuries throughout his whole career while Novak seems to never get injured. Roger's coach Peter Carter died in a car accident in 2002 and it devastated Roger so much it motivated to train harder into the player he is today. Roger had mononucleosis in 2008 and two knee surgeries in 2020 and is still affecting him today. Meanwhile Novak is allowed to throw temper tantrums, take many MTOs and bathroom breaks in between sets, kick signs, his dad is constantly berating Roger in news articles calling him a bad man, and the umpires don't say a thing. There are many bad traits Novak has that balance his good traits. The same could be said of Roger and Rafa. Roger is stubborn and arrogant and Rafa is single-minded, dumb, and doesn't speak English very well. I don't respect any tennis player at such god-like levels. Not even Rafa and Roger because I know they're flawed just like everyone else.
I am really sad that this might be the end for Nadal. RG is what he truly owned and with that now slipping away from him, he might no longer add to his grand slam tally.
I think this is the biggest example of showcasing of Novak mental power in tennis, he came back from 2sets down twice in this tournament to win it, what a mental giant he is, he is GOAT with maximum physical and mental power
I’ve always been a Federer fan from way back. At first Djokovic was a necessary evil to put the smack down on Nadal. As of late I have grown to become a huge Djokovic fan. It is unfortunate he came on the scene when everyone was already in their Federer/Nadal camp because he is the whole package and then some. If he stays healthy history will show Novak as the undisputed greatest of all time and we will all wish that we appreciated him more!

I think Novak went through the first 3 service games without letting Tsitsipas score a single point, was serving for the 1st set, and held 1 set point. The narrative has been "Tsitsipas dominating the first 2 sets", but Tsitsipas actually won the first set with some luck when Djokovic hit some loose balls towards the end of the 1st set.

This kind of dominance by one player is unseen in this sport. I am hugely disappointed that my favorite player Nadal was knocked out but have to concede that Djokovic is a mental giant. I still believed that in terms of having the game, Nadal had the game to defeat Djokovic but he lost it mentally. Djokovic is the GOAT.

No player ever won that many titles in any Slam tournament. So, no room for disappointment. On the other side, a tournament with predictable outcome becomes boring. Nadal's defeat had to happen, and the same thing one day will happen to Djokovic.

Once Tsitsipas went up 2-0, I think he started to focus on the trophy, and forgot he still had to win another set. Credit to Novak for hanging in there until Tsitsipas started to lose his focus. I thought Novak had played a very tactical match against Nadal, but this was even better, because he seemed totally out of it for the first 2 sets. You could see him picking his spots to 'turn it on', especially during the big points. Tsitsipas will learn from this, and hopefully be better for it. He was my pick at the start of the Tournament but Novak deserved this win. At 22, he'll have many more chances if he continues to play like this. In a few years there'll be no Novak, Nadal or Federer, and there are no real contenders on the horizon. Novak will eventually end up with the most Titles; it's quite possible that he can set the bar at 25.
I predicted Novak would win days ago. He's supreme in every way. I'm very happy for him and I'm in awe of his talent on the court, but I'm also very sad for Rafa and Roger because their GS records will surely be surpassed.

But Novak has two other younger brothers and they were not treated nearly as preferred as Novak. I remember their was a story where when the family ate steak for dinner the biggest pieces were always given to Novak. Novak's Dad was a professional skier and opened a restaurant and sports equipment business in the Serbian mountains. So even if Serbia wasn't the richest country back in the late 90's, Novak was raised in a privileged family relative to the rest of the Serbian population. Another thing is that despite Novak's unfortunate upbringing the Kosovo Wars lasted from February 1998 to June 1999 and the bombings lasted from March 24, 1999 to June 10, 1999. This was 20 years ago but Serbia is still standing strong and flourishing today. There are so many other countries right now like Belarus, Palestine, Yemen, Turkey, Afganistan, Mexico, and Hong Kong that are suffering civil wars now. What about tennis players from those countries. Shouldn't we feel pity for them too? All tennis players have gone through tragedy/difficulty. Rafa had a strict upbringing in his middle-class family growing up through his uncle Toni and his parents divorced in 2009. Rafa has a growth-related defect called Kohler's feet and has suffered numerous foot and knee injuries throughout his whole career while Novak seems to never get injured. Roger's coach Peter Carter died in a car accident in 2002 and it devastated Roger so much it motivated to train harder into the player he is today. Roger had mononucleosis in 2008 and two knee surgeries in 2020 and is still affecting him today. Meanwhile Novak is allowed to throw temper tantrums, take many MTOs and bathroom breaks in between sets, kick signs, his dad is constantly berating Roger in news articles calling him a bad man, and the umpires don't say a thing. There are many bad traits Novak has that balance his good traits. The same could be said of Roger and Rafa. Roger is stubborn and arrogant and Rafa is single-minded, dumb, and doesn't speak English very well. I don't respect any tennis player at such god-like levels. Not even Rafa and Roger because I know they're flawed just like everyone else.

I’ve always been a Federer fan from way back. At first Djokovic was a necessary evil to put the smack down on Nadal. As of late I have grown to become a huge Djokovic fan. It is unfortunate he came on the scene when everyone was already in their Federer/Nadal camp because he is the whole package and then some. If he stays healthy history will show Novak as the undisputed greatest of all time and we will all wish that we appreciated him more!

Once Tsitsipas went up 2-0, I think he started to focus on the trophy, and forgot he still had to win another set. Credit to Novak for hanging in there until Tsitsipas started to lose his focus. I thought Novak had played a very tactical match against Nadal, but this was even better, because he seemed totally out of it for the first 2 sets. You could see him picking his spots to 'turn it on', especially during the big points. Tsitsipas will learn from this, and hopefully be better for it. He was my pick at the start of the Tournament but Novak deserved this win. At 22, he'll have many more chances if he continues to play like this. In a few years there'll be no Novak, Nadal or Federer, and there are no real contenders on the horizon. Novak will eventually end up with the most Titles; it's quite possible that he can set the bar at 25.

There is a huge exchange of energy between the players when they are playing a grand slam final.
